It's one of the amazing places in San Antonio, we love being there, there is always fun activities and the classes are just amazing! !!! Coaches are the best, I've been attending Zumba classes with Coach Mika, she is wonderful, her smile and energy are contagious, she really makes us happy and super energized, it is like getting charged for the whole week, I wished she gave more classes, I think I'm keeping my membership just for her class, she's the best. I am a member with the YMCA Coastal Bend and with the San Antonio community. I have been very pleased with the SA program. The classes at the D.R. Semmes Family YMCA are well attended, great workouts, and I look forward to them. The facility is clean, organized, and provides space for us to sit and take a breather. The swimming coach (Iris) is out of this world amazing. She strikes a tone that motivates and encourages while being firm. My daughters went here for swimming lessons. They have indoor pools with bathrooms. The bathrooms are always clean and cleaners are always cleaning right after they are used. This place doesn’t have hair dryers but you can always carry your own. They have a great gym and other facilities. If you work for NISD they give a good discount on membership. More...

I just got a membership and am absolutely loving it. All of the staff are so friendly & helpful and I'm very impressed with the childcare providers and different age groups. I did my first group class today (Body Flow) and it was awesome. I love how family-friendly the YMCA is (and bonus that the library is attached to the main entrance!). The SAPL wifi network works great for streaming shows while I do the treadmill (the only way I can stand running!) and the facility is clean and nice. I highly recommend this facility. More...

Great for parents who want to get their kids active, get themselves in shape, and on top of that not have to worry if your child is okay while you're working out.
