We booked David to photograph our wedding 2.5 years in advance. I found his website and fell in love with his work straight away. It was important to us that we meet him before booking him so we did and that sealed the deal. He then did a pre-wedding shoot 2 months before our wedding and then our wedding itself on Saturday and was joined by his daughter/glamorous assistant Paige. I have nothing but praise and admiration for this pair of amazing people and the dad/daughter act just makes it that bit better! at both our pre-wed shoot and wedding David was super friendly and interested in us as people, we weren't made to feel like we just another job for him, he makes you feel like you're the most important people in that particular moment, on that particular day. He is constantly switched on, looking for good photo opportunities and even walking into thorn bushes, lying in the sea and sand and standing on dangerous hills, burning his fingers on candles just to get the perfect shot for you. Paige, I don't know what your dad would do without you! you were organised, on it, fast and efficient and constantly wanting to do what we wanted, not to mention super friendly and made me feel more relaxed during the morning prep. I don't even know where to begin with this review.. David photographed our engagement shoot in Paris 2.5 years ago, when we received the images we were blown away and knew at that point we had to have him for our BIG day in Cyprus. Your work, dedication and time spent on our perfect wedding and not to mention the 'E' shoot in Paris has been impeccable, getting back to my emails, messages etc on the run up to the wedding has been smooth sailing and you put me at ease many a time when I was worried about this and that. On the wedding day...... We was fortunate to have David with us for a fair amount of days so we could do a few day after location shoots, WOW, is all I can say right now till we receive the actual images.. eeekkkkks! You are amazing at what you do, your direction also to help me feel at ease with the camera and to get the best from me/us for your art.. You worked your socks off, rolled around on the floor to get 'the' best images :) you made us laugh, you made us feel comfortable and relaxed and you have blown not only us newly weds away, but also our friends and family. I honestly cannot rave about David enough, he is the most talented, professional and creative photographer I have ever worked with. From the moment he arrived on our wedding day to the delivery of our photographs today, we could not be happier with his work, attitude and enthusiasm. On the day of our wedding, there was not one thing we had to worry about photo-wise because David had everything covered down to a T! His brilliant humour and friendly nature allowed him to calm any last minute nerves and mix in with our guests perfectly. The results are literally phenomenal!! David is the most unbelievably talented photographer I have seen. Our professional photos by far exceeded all expectations. He is such a lovely person, funny and so easy to work with. I’ve taken a little time to think about writing this, but in all honesty words cannot express how grateful we are to David. When I first looked him up, I thought I would never be able to book him, so I shopped about. After a couple of disappointments, I bit the bullet and decided to ask... much to my surprise he was available and reasonably priced! Now that the wedding is all over, I can honestly say my photos were definitely one of the best investments for the wedding. We decided to have an engagement shoot to get used to being in front of a camera: immediately we were both put at ease. What’s more we were so impressed with how committed David was to getting the right photo: climbing under and over just about anything, being stung to bits by nettles and lying in puddles. The family have all commented on how stunning the photos are, and everyone thought that David and Paige were an absolute pleasure to have around on the day. Not once did we feel uncomfortable or forced, and some of the images are so creative. Best of all, we spent a long time debating over a videographer, in the end we decided not to and there are no regrets. David has managed to document the entire day perfectly, capturing little moments we didn’t see and presenting them through his own style. I could go on and on... but I’m sure anyone reading this gets the idea. If you’re looking for a photographer, I would definitely take the time to enquire. Dave photographed our wedding at The South Causey Inn on what was the hottest day of the year I think we have had! He made us all feel at ease and what a really funny genuine guy. My husband and I could not be happier with our wedding pictures, we have had so many positive comments from others. When it came to choosing our wedding photographer it was never going to be an easy task my husband is a photographer himself so when it comes to photography we look at pictures with a different perspective than those that are not photography minded. We spent a week or so viewing every wedding photographers websites within our area & beyond & nothing was good enough so we headed over to the fearless photographers website & found David ..he was only based a short 5 hours away but we knew he was the man for us before we even emailed him!! Lucky for us he was available for our wedding date & was happy to do the road trip,6mths before our wedding we decided to take this road trip ourself to meet the man behind our emails & we were instantly at ease with him ..his banter suited us completely! Over the 18mths of planning our wedding I think our photographer was my most exciting part & come the day before of our wedding & the arrival of David and his amazing side kick Paige everything was in place. David & Paige totally rocked our wedding & we have so many memories of our day that David created ..from the marble sized hail in his hair when I arrived at church to being bundled into the back of his car to being made to climb a fence what mr west wants mr west gets,we wanted amazing pictures & that means some #offroadbride moments! From the sneak peaks we have seen so far David has excelled in every way & beyond our dreams ..I'm writing this review on the eve of receiving our wedding gallery & I'm confident enough to know were going to love every single one! Where ever you are in the world picking David as your wedding photographer will truly be the best investment of your life. I'm so sad that our journey with David is now at an end but he's someone we will follow throughout life. Thank you so much for being our photographer. I just knew you were the perfect person to do the job even before we met! And you certainly did not disappoint. In fact, you went above and beyond.. I’d go so far as to say, we got more than what we had paid for. I’ve been wanting to write a review for you since I got the photos back but struggled to find the right words to say in order to give your service the feedback it deserves. Before we hired you I had read many of your previous clients’ reviews. A lot of them had described you as a friendly and passionate person, some even saying you felt like a guest or wedding co-ordinator. Well, I can honestly say all of those reviews are true, every single one of them!! You did indeed come across as very friendly and enthusiastically passionate about your work but most of all, you really did feel like one of our wedding guests because you made everyone laugh whilst still doing your job. At times, I did feel like you were our wedding co-ordinator too, making each stage of the day run like clockwork- Thank you. Upon receiving our photos, I think I must have looked at them a million times over and each time I notice little details I didn’t before – I will never ever get bored of looking at them. It’s true what they say; that your wedding day does go by so quickly, it’s gone before you know it. The day after our wedding I couldn’t remember most of what had happened!! Thanks to you though, we are able to relive that day and cherish the memories from the beautiful images you have captured. From the second we met David West we knew he was the photographer for us. He went out of his way to accommodate everything we asked for, even arranging to meet us at a place of our convenience as we lived outside of the area. David inspires confidence when you meet him and we felt absolutely comfortable in his advice and suggestions, which we really appreciated. He did everything he could to make our day special and continued to do so throughout the process of organising it. On the day itself he was amazing, and everyone commented on how friendly, personable and brilliant he was at doing what he does. Nothing was too much trouble, and whilst completely unobtrusive, David took control where he needed to and we felt like he was a friend and guest as well as our photographer. This was before we even saw the final product – which is utterly perfect and everything we ever wanted.
