I’ve got nothing but positive feedback about David Turner, who recently DJ’d our wedding. Our communication leading up to the wedding was prompt and professional. Our wedding day timeline was very detailed, and he was on point for 100% of it. Most of our bridal party had difficult names to pronounce, but David took the time to learn how to pronounce them and did perfect. The uplighting he provided really added a lot to our decoration. I’ve heard nothing but praise from impressed guests who saw him perform during cocktail hour. His blend of music with the songs/genres we discussed made for a fantastic reception. My wife and I absolutely loved him performing saxophone live along to some of our favorite songs. He even got our 1 year old ring bearer up and dancing. David was an awesome DJ he was early set up on time he is excellent musician he play the saxophone during cocktail hr and then he continued to play sax during dinner which I found to be awesome so soothing and relaxing then when it came time to dance he had everything under the sun that you could think of to play right there I would definite use him again no doubt for any upcoming events we have David thanks for everything it was an awesome night

What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Playing the very biggest hits across multiple genres is important, along with knowing the type(s) of music that the clients enjoy. It's important to watch the dance floor in real-time, and respond to the guests. As a DJ, if something isn't keeping people on the floor, it's important to quickly transition to something else. Also, "dead air" is another thing that will cause people to leave the floor. Back-to-back-to-back great music will take care of that!
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I just try to be professional, providing my clients with a great musical experience, whether they're hiring me as a DJ, sax player, wedding ceremony musician...whatever. When it comes to DJ-ing, I let the music speak for itself, mostly, with limited and tasteful use of effects, clean mixes/crossfading, and no "cheese."
What do you love most about your job?
There is a really nice, creative element to both my live playing (on sax, flute, etc.), as well as the disc-jockey element. I have fun with it, and really enjoy seeing the way people respond to music. In a lot of professions, you don't get an opportunity to immediately see the end result of your hard work. When I perform for somebody's party, it gives me instant gratification...I love seeing the smiles on everybody's faces!!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Being a conservatory trained musician, it was always what I expected to do. I've been playing music all over the world since I was a kid, and the more recent addition of the DJ service has been really fun as well. My musical training gives me a lot of creative capability when I'm DJ-ing. I really love being my own boss, and have no problem with the responsibility that comes with "making a great party." I've spent many of the last 15 years working for other people, and I'm now focusing on creating my own sought-after brand.
Why should our clients choose you?
Entertainment for private events is a lot different than playing in clubs and bars. I've never been a part of that scene. As a professional musician, I've been working at very high-end weddings and corporate parties for over 15 years, in the very biggest venues in Florida and beyond. I have a good sense of the logistics of successful events, and will always be professional and do my best to take care of my clients needs.
All Inclusive Disc Jockey Service
At David Turner Music, we don't believe in surprises, unless they're the good kind! You'll be provided a disc jockey quote that includes everything needed for a typical wedding or special event. We won't add on for MC service, microphone(s) for officiants, toasts, etc., stage lighting, or various other services. If your wedding or event happens to be a little more logistically challenging, we'll work with you to make sure you understand all costs incurred upfront. Then, we'll show up, and make sure your event is amazing!!

If you're looking for a DJ who can take it to the next level, consider adding live saxophone to your event! David can DJ and mix in live saxophone for cocktail hour, dinner, and even your wedding reception or party.
