I started seeing David for Acupuncture since April 2019 for my condition, Graves Disease which had an imbalance of an overactive thyroid at the time. I was adamant not to use the synthetic drugs on this occasion as I previously had done so but gained weight and had mood swings as a result. David had come recommended through a friend of the family so I was keen to give it a try. Upon meeting David in Hemel Hempstead, I was greeted with a warm handshake and reassuring smile which put me at ease immediately. The acupuncture itself was tailor made to specific pinpoints on Davids findings through discussion. Each session lasts for approximately 1 hour and I was left feeling vitalised and hopeful. Fortunately I need to have regular blood tests to see if my levels on my thyroid (TSH & T4) had changed and after just 10 weeks of acupuncture treatment, my T4 level had moved to the normal range! I've continued using David, slowly spreading the appointments out over time and my recent blood test results in October 2019, for both my T4 & TSH, have come back normal! I'm so delighted with the results as I had previously in the past been on medication for nearly two years to balance those readings out. Obviously everyone is different and may or may not work for all but I am a firm believer that this acupuncture with David has done wonders - in fact in my eyes it's more of a miracle having gone through a different process in the past.I'll continue visiting David to keep 'topped up' not only for the acupuncture but also for the interesting chats and friendly ear. I had a really tough year in 2015 and I was struggling with anxiety, mild depression and other sketchy feelings. I was also having problems with my stomach, suffering from nausea and constant discomfort which heightened my anxiety. I found David on the internet and booked myself in. I felt dramatically better after 2 sessions. My stomach issues had disappeared and my anxiety and depression had dissipated. I’ve now had about 9 sessions and I feel much more balanced and feel like I can deal with what life is throwing at me right now. David is also very nice and professional. He is really passionate about what he does and he is genuinely really interested in listening and helping. I also found his central London clinic very convenient. I highly recommend David. I found him while looking for acupuncture treatment to help with my hormonal and emotional issues. I have seen David for the past 8 months and it has helped me so much. I came to see David for my long term lower back pain, while I have tried many different expert physiotherapists and functional movement specialists and not seen visible improvements. What can I say, David is a miracle worker! After suffering a miscarriage at 11 weeks and my body not recovering well still 4 months on, my friend recommended David. From the onset he listened in detail to what I had gone and was going through. David was detailed in each session about specific acupunture points he was using, and I could tell I had come to the right place after just my first few sessions - for the first time in months I felt at ease and had a brighter outlook on the situation. I saw David at his Hemel Hempstead Five Element Acupuncture Clinic near Berkhamsted for fertility issues. My treatment was very successful and I cannot recommend David and the Five Element Acupuncture enough. My recommendation is to see David regardless of what health issues you may have. I have gone to many complementary health practitioners, and I rate David among the best and most professional I have ever had treatment from. He is able to assess and attune to my states and the specific needs I have every time, from physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. I frequently benefit from a treatment for when my brain is 'over worked'. David's manner is personable, diligent and deeply compassionate and supportive. I first came to David’s acupuncture clinic near Berkhamsted in 2017, to treat depressive symptoms triggered by suppressed childhood issues. At the time, I was unable to function properly during the day and my sleep was badly disrupted despite regular psychotherapy sessions. I was nervous about trying Acupuncture for the first time, but David made me feel completely relaxed. Initially, I felt and slept substantially better for about 2 days after each treatment, but within a few weeks, my lighter moods became longer-lasting, my energy returned and I had an increased sense of calm. I saw David at his clinic near Berkhamsted and travelled from Tring. I went to David primarily to support with Fertility issues but as our sessions progressed I found it helpful in a number of ways including a painful muscular injury to my neck and helping me get some clarity and when I'd been feeling torn and "stuck". I also saw David throughout my pregnancy as I really do think he supports both physical and mental wellbeing. The acupuncture is not painful and I always left each session feeling wonderfully relaxed. I first went to see David in November 2018 for what I felt was trapped emotional energy manifesting as an annoying ache under my left rib. David works holistically and even after the first session the pain had disappeared and he was working on the low energy I was also experiencing. I came to see David mostly because I had to deal with a traumatic situation at that time and because of having problems of dealing with a lot of stress. He treated me with a combination of acupuncture and tapping which both helped me immensely. His warm, calm and trusting personality also gives you a very relaxed feeling for the comfortable talking. My husband and I received acupuncture from David at his Hemel Hempstead clinic for fertility. We had been trying for over 4 years and had already had 3 miscarriages and 2 failed ICSI. I have suffered chronic shoulder pain associated with arthritis. I visited David for treatment some 6 months ago and have been pain free since. Prior experience with needle therapy has been positive, but not as pronounced in terms of effectiveness and duration as David's holistic approach - using more sophisticated acupuncture treatment plus holistic approach to me as a patient. David also assisted me in addressing claustrophobia in the context of a pending MRI scan with a similarly effective outcome. My treatments were for a variety of conditions - painful foot, lower back pain, and sinuses. David's acupuncture was great! Even the sinuses, which I was not expecting, improved straight away. If you are concerned by needles all I can say is, don't be. I'm not particularly fond of needles, injections and that sort of thing, but apart from a tiny tingle, you don't feel anything negative.
