As a photographer choosing my own photographer was probably the most difficult and biggest decision of my whole wedding! I kept coming back to David’s relaxed, fun but quirky feeling photos to the point that I decided he was the tog for us! We approached David to be our wedding photographer after viewing his informative website, his portfolio is stunning and just what we wanted to achieve for our special day. We met with David well in advance and knew we’d made the right choice; he’s extremely knowledgable, passionate and lots of fun. He was so much more than a wedding photographer, he was quick to reply to all of our messages including non-photography queries ie ‘who should have buttonholes?’ and ‘what’s the best bridesmaid colours?’ He gave the best advice. We did a pre-shoot before the wedding which was great fun, it allowed us to feel comfortable around David and his unique capturing of our story. On the day, we hardly noticed he was there, he arrived promptly and blended into the background. Our guests thought he was fantastic and we received such good feedback. He entertained the guests and got everybody involved with the very popular table competitions. David was our wedding photographer back in June. He provided a 5 star plus service form the initial meeting, the pre wedding shoot, on the day and then the follow up. The photos truly are amazing and have given us a wonderful reminder of our magical day. He was unobtrusive and captured some fabulous moments showing all sorts of emotions. David will blend into the background on your wedding day, but uses his great sense of humour and charm to get you laughing and joking around when taking couple and family pictures. We have never been keen on having our photos taken, but David made our practice shoot and every photo part of our wedding day hilarious and fun. For me, getting married was something I only really wanted to share with those I loved most; David slotted into our day seamlessly and honestly we're a bit gutted we won't be able to hang out with him again anytime soon! David's approach is simply incredible. He spent a whole day with us and our wedding guests. After meeting David we almost instantly felt very comfortable and very quickly forgot about the presence of his camera. David managed to ace our family photo shoot and I cannot rate him and his work highly enough. In a short time, outside in the cold, with ages ranging from a wee boy with special needs to an 80-year old, he produced a range of fantastic images that make me smile every time I look at them. David was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We met with a number of photographers who offered a package at a similar price but David really went the extra mile. The pre-wedding shoot was perfect for us as we are not comfortable in front of a camera, so this helped get rid of any nerves. David was truly amazing to have record our special day! He listened to what we wanted and as a result we have some truly awesome shots that really captured the essence of the day. The examples on his website are true representations of the type of photography practices in, so gives you a great idea of what to expect.
He also clearly loves what he does and puts his all into your day. Our guests all commented on what fun they had with him having photos taken.
The value we got for the price he charged was just unbelievable and now we have the hard job of going through the wonderful collection to pick a few of our favourites!

We are so so pleased with all of our wedding photos and there are so many of them! We really wanted to make sure the whole day was captured but in a way that wasn't staged and all the precious moments from the bridal preparation all the way through to the last dance are there. So many family and friends have commented on how amazing all the photos are and how natural the photos look.

Where do I start? My (now) husband and I were trying to plan our wedding from the other side of the world - what a nightmare. From the very first email to the final hug of our wedding night David has been the most professional photographer. He totally got us and we haven't laughed so much at our pre-wedding shoot in ages.

From the moment that we first made contact with David, we knew that we were in good hands. As we had a baby in the mix, meeting in person to discuss details was not easy but David was able to work around our needs and we mostly discussed what we needed over Skype and email, with just one meeting in person for a practice photoshoot. Given that we had not done this before, David was able to take us through all the options that we had for photography on the day.

On the day itself, we barely noticed David, apart from when he very ably wrangled guests for the formal shots. The rest of the time he was non intrusively snapping the events of the day in his reportage style that drew us to him in the first place.

Even after the wedding, David kept us up to date with the progress of his post processing of the photos and he delivered us almost 900 excellent photos which we absolutely love!

David perfectly captured our small intimate wedding which we disguised as our sons second birthday party! I contacted david only a few weeks beforehand but he made things very straightforward, understanding exactly what we wanted and offering a totally bespoke service tailored to us. David did a really fantastic job at our wedding in July 2017. We got married in a field in Pewsey and had marquees and wagons plus a ceremony space. He made our guest feel at ease and caught so many candid moments throughout the day. David perfectly captured the relaxed atmosphere of our small wedding and family gathering at Pembroke Arms, Wilton in May 2017. He then photographed our wedding celebration party at Salisbury Arts Centre the following day. David put us at ease and our guests commented how lovely and friendly he was. He captured key moments whilst blending in with our guests. The fun group poses to 'key words' were brilliant and very amusing.
David sent us a couple of beautiful images of the two of us from our wedding that evening so we could print and display them at our party the following day. We received more images within a few days and had our full set of images when we returned from honeymoon

If you are looking for a photographer who will capture your day beautifully, David is the man. We got married in August 2017 and David provided us with a pre-shoot a few days before the big day which enabled us to get used to being infront of the camera and the way he worked. David was fantastic every step of the way. He's incredibly likeable and quickly made us feel comfortable, from the initial call to the day itself. I have to admit the only reason I was wanted to commit to a professional photographer was to capture moments and people that shared our day with us. I'm not a big fan of being in front of the camera so I was pleasantly surprised to see David got so many lovely photos of Chris and I, and looking back at them now I didn't even realise he was standing there half the time with intrusion to the day at all. I really appreciated how he worked around the day and waited to the right moments to take certain photos while planning other timings carefully so it all flowed naturally.

I really felt he was able to capture us and our relationship and he's clearly skilled at adapting his style to fit the unique couple and their wedding in that way. That being said I think he'll always add a little bit of his own style and fun in to the day with the benefit of some really special extra moments and photos in the collection that bring an extra element and a lovely surprise.

I may have left this 6 months late but life has just carried us away!
David saved our day!!
3 weeks before our wedding in June our original photographer pulled out, apparently ‘double booking’ our date! I’m sure you can imagine my reaction and the sheer panic we felt!!
Many people suggested David in a Facebook post, so I rang him in my crazy bride state and to our delight & surprise he was actually free for our big day!
At our pre-shoot he made it easy and we felt so natural. He also gave us tips for the day, all of which we forgot due to so much excitement but for the shoot very helpful!
He captured us in our natural cheery self and we were absolutely chuffed he was going to be with us on our big day!
The photos he shot on the big day were incredible, he caught the natural unaware shots, the group/individual photos we’d requested, we then found those incredibly wild & funny pictures of some of our guests!
He blended in, he was apart of our guests and we honestly couldn’t recommend a better photographer or person to be by your side!
Thank you David for all that you did and we’ll be in touch in the future without doubt for anymore exciting moments that need capturing! All our trust is with you!

He is such a personable person, all our guests have commented how lovely and progressional he was. He won't shout at guests, he won't dictate your day (unless you want, I'm sure), he will naturally become part of your day.

The pre-shoot was full of fun and laughter and the day was even better. We have the most beautiful natural images, capturing the raw emotion of the day. Our portrait pics are just a dream too.

Wow; we are just so happy with our choice in photographer! We'd found David's website through Googling Wiltshire photographers and had a look at his website. We loved the photos, especially how relaxed and happy everyone looked. His website provided all the information we required (especially the FAQs page), and we decided to go ahead and book him. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding! It turns out he was actually listed as a recommended photographer for our venue, Grittleton House, and we quickly learnt why.

David is both professional and personable. During our pre-shoot we learnt of the different ways we should be posing to get the best photos, and, most importantly for me, how to feel relaxed in front of the camera.

When it came to the wedding day, we knew that David had it all in hand and the results were incredible! The weather wasn't exactly wonderful (our fault for getting married in January), but David was able to create some amazing indoor shots, and get lots of photos around our amended schedule. We've looked at our photos so many times now, and we still absolutely adore them. The mixture of formal and 'snapshot' photos really show how the day shaped out and also how much fun the guests were having. We had so many people say how much they liked David and his photos!

We don't think 5 stars are enough to show how much we loved David's work. Thank you so much!
