An initial period of creating a cliental in the London social and events field I have since moved to the pleasant Suffolk surroundings and created an extensive portfolio from the hundreds of weddings and occasions I have since photographed.

David recently photographed our wedding, despite booking when the country was still locked down due to the pandemic, David setup Zoom calls with us to get to know us and discuss our vision, on the day David was great at getting lots of natural shots of us and our guests, we just received our photos back are incredibly happy with them. David played a huge part in our wedding journey, he was very friendly and professional at the same time. He was hired for a couple of hours but time was not an issue for him as he was happy to stay a bit longer with no extra cost.
We finished the photoshooting when everyone was happy when no more pictures needed to be taken. He processed the pictures in a timely manner and he responded to our queries promptly before and after the event.
We would definitely recommend David and we couldn't be happier for our special day. Pictures are fantastic!

Excellent service and photography. We recieved our photos a couple of weeks after our wedding day and it was amazing to relive the memories in such detail and exposure. We received everything we wanted and he was more than accommodating to work with. Actually very laid for during the time slot allocated for our group shots. Amazing photographer👌🏽 Captured the day perfectly
David was fabulous from start to finish. We set up an initial face to face meeting and he really listened to our requirements, and to details of the day.
We chose David for the natural style of his photos as we wanted a relaxed and informal photography style, he really captures the “feel” of the moment / day, we didn’t want anything too formal, although he also did some very lovely “organised” photos of the family VERY efficiently considering the amount of people , we had a very strict / limited timescale for these and David got all the formal photos we’d asked for. Brilliant! David really gets in amongst the guests unnoticed to get the natural snaps, I honestly cannot remember seeing him during our reception at all (no I wasn’t super drunk haha), the photos he got of people dancing and sharing moments are priceless, thank you so much David! We got the edited photos very quickly via Dropbox and the USB followed, got some lovely black & white ones in there too, very atmospheric and glamorous. Thanks again David, thanks to you we could see that everyone was really enjoying themselves on our special day, and that means so much to us.

After browsing photographers online for a while, I ultimately chose David because his album showed his attention not only for the big events of a wedding, but also the small goings-on.

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Having a good eye and the foresight of anticipating the moment. These are crucial to getting those all important moments on camera.
Normally anyone can take a great picture but not everybody can keep taking great photographs.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
It is crucial to be on the same wavelength as the client when a brief has been presented whether it be a wedding, portrait or a commercial bit of work. So it is important to ask exactly what are the requirements if there is any uncertainty at the beginning.
The same can be said for the client to understand the ability and style of the photographer when setting out any guidelines. The rapport between photographer and client is crucial for a successful shoot.
What do you love most about your job?
I am very fortunate to have a role of a photographer. To be allowed to un-obtrusively be part of an occasion or event and be privileged to capture the crucial memories from that day. It is always a joy when pictures are viewed later and watch or hear reactions when remembering those moments. I have had over 20 years holding a camera and hopefully creating pictures which can be cherished or serve a purpose.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Through the frame of a window or a view from a distance. With my bad memory I had early an ambition to preserve those scenes!
The camera has given me an opportunity to do that, my third eye.
I enjoyed my earlier years assisting various photographers in Nottingham and London which gave a taste and aspiration of working for yourself. Coupled with building trust and skill, my abilities were greatly enhanced through this experience. I was eager to branch out for myself.
In more recent times I have enjoyed a successful period photographing locally in the East of England where I am now based.
