We had an awesome family photo session yesterday. David Paul Photography was amazing. I was coming in from out of town and he kept in constant contact with me. Also the day of our scheduled shoot the remanence of Hurricane Florence came through and he accommodated us and we rescheduled for the next day. David was amazing with the dogs and his easy going and joyful personality really made it fun. He even quickly edited a photo to give me a "teaser" before we leave tomorrow. Incredibly happy with every aspect of working with David Paul Photography! He was so on top of the communication and details, offering relevant suggestions throughout the planning process. Before and after the event, he was very responsive and thoroughly answered all questions. The photos were stunning and he was super friendly and made my entire wedding party feel very comfortable throughout the day. I was also able to have all the edited, unwatermarked final photos at the end, which is huge! He also offers custom-designed quality albums, hand-bound in Italy, which makes for a very nice keepsake. david was so flexible as to wait until almost the very day of the photoshoot to decide where we're going to take photos, put up with six children from age 18 months to, well including some adults, and even though the sun did not cooperate, he worked hard to catch the light and to make special memory photos.
he was a calming influence on the midst of two children being very mommy clingy.
his creative ideas were complementary to his fun loving personality.

I want to give everyone some background prior to beginning this review. My husband and I decided to get married in 6 months, with little to no knowledge of where to even begin. We met David at a bridal show, and from the first moment we met - we connected and had amazing conversation. Immediately afterwards, we met another photographer who was very well known, but did not have the element that David possessed: compassion. We ended up winning an amazing package with David, and come on, who wouldn't accept! We met up prior to our engagement shoot over some coffee, and for the first time we met a professional who genuinely wanted to learn about our story and who we were. He brought us his work and allowed us the freedom to choose what interested us the most. We had the most INCREDIBLE engagement shoots EVER!!! Until this day, my friends and family are STILL going crazy over them. But the best part? David connected with us and we felt his excitement to be a part of our love story. Fast forward to our wedding day. David made sure to come BEFORE schedule and KEEP us on schedule ALL day! His professionalism, courtesy, kindness, and passion was what my husband and I loved the most about him! David Paul Photography did excellent work at the October 15, 2016 wedding of my daughter. David was an all-around delight to work with! Upon our first meeting, he presented his work with enthusiasm, pride and friendly confidence. With the three of us coming from different cities, he was great to coordinate meetings between our multiple locations in Northeast Ohio. The day of the wedding, he arrived on time and was very generous to offer photography of family groups aside from the usual wedding groupings. He was dressed appropriately, courteous and thoughtful of the families and guests. Most importantly he was virtually INVISABLE during the ceremony! After photographing the processional, he disappeared! I had a friend tell me she was looking for him because she thought he had left! I actually looked for him once myself, although I was confident he was there somewhere. He got absolutely beautiful pictures of the entire ceremony, all of the outdoor chapel, the musicians and readers without once being seen by anyone or interrupting the ceremony. At the receiving line, he was equally unobtrusive and captured a close photo of my daughter laughing with her 92 year-old-grandfather with a tear on her cheek. A priceless image!During the reception, he got great candid photos of everyone along with the traditional cake cutting. We offered him a challenge with a lantern launching and he captured a stunning panorama photograph of the twilight sky, dark tree-line and a foreground of guest launching the lighted lanterns.He captured incredible photos of the newlyweds walking among the towering pines, in front of the colorful autumn trees and generally goofing off. As a full moon rose above the trees, David used back lighting to capture a touching moment with newlyweds. The wedding was both beautiful and fun; and the photographs show just that!He was extremely receptive to all of our suggestions in planning, shooting the photos and designing the wedding album. At the first meeting, we had chosen to purchase a photo album and David gave excellent guidance on photo selections to “tell the story” of the day. David was a pleasure to work with from the very first consultation. He was very thorough in his questions about us as a couple and the types of photos we wanted for our wedding day. He had great ideas on things we could try to capture the essence of our love and helped guide us from one moment to the next, without interfering with any of our special moments together or with our friends and loved ones. David was our lead photographer and from the start was very hands on and communicated with us throughout the months leading up to the wedding about what we were looking for, how we wanted our pictures, etc. His photographer packages are very reasonably priced and he has such an amazing eye for taking such beautiful pictures. I was very impressed with how involved he was with our wedding, even wanting to meet us at our ceremony/venue location to give suggestions for were we should take photos which was extremely helpful so on the big day we weren’t running around trying to find the perfect shots since we already had them planned. Upon our first meeting, my husband and I knew David was the photographer for us! He knows everything there is to know about what he does and is so easy to get along with. We were fortunate enough to have an engagement session with David so we could get to know each other a little before the wedding. Not only did this give us an opportunity to get comfortable with each other, but the engagement pictures were so amazing! Our family and friends couldn't stop cooing over them. Then, on the day of the wedding, David put us so much at ease. He was so calm and collected the whole day even though things weren't always as organized as they should have been! Our guests commented many times how David and his assistant Dana were wonderful and so unobtrusive. Some of them didn't even know they were there, which was so refreshing after being at some weddings where the photographers were in the way the entire time. David and his assistant, Dana, were great to work with! David was very flexible with our schedules and worked with us! He gave us a free engagement shoot which helped us understand his style and to see what we loved. He shot over 500 pictures that we get to keep! No copyrights with him. He also made us a DVD slideshow which was amazing. Our family and friends love it! He also made us 3 photobooks for ourselves and our parents. These are top quality, we love them!
