Let a pro look first, depending on roof height, the roof rafters, weather the you can get a staircase in as well.will the council give the permission , you can check with the planning officer first.
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
Strip off the roof area, cut out the rafters, install the steels, beef up the rafters, do all the framework, first fix the electrics and plumbing, board it and dry wall. Fit windows.replace the roof tiles. Second fix.
