Very informative, listens closely to what you tell him about your body. Also stronger then he looks I'm a big guy and didn't really know if he could work out all the hard spots in my back and hip(buldging disc and piriformis syndrome). He did an excellent job. My friend from Japan whose English is limited was grateful David’s massage therapy. During her short stay in Portland she needed to maintain her physical condition to enjoy every moment. David’s therapy helped her getting over jet lag quickly and being able to sleep well. In fact, David’s help was so effective, she returned to him in her 2.5 week staying. She said that David’s communication was gentle and thorough which gave her feeling relaxed in an English speaking culture. David is a rare find in therapists. I have been a client for over a year and have been extremely impressed with his massages and his knowledge about the physical body and healing in general. I suffered a car accident injury and he's been helping me to rehab and accepts insurance too. He is very attentive and makes sure he knows before he begins his work what is going to be the most beneficial for the session. He is always on time, flexible when I am not, and is conveniently located in the Woodstock neighborhood. I am sad because I moved away and have not been able to find anyone near as fantastic.
