I recently hired David Benners to design and create what i had considered to be the difficult task of creating a large master bedroom closet and bath in my mid century modern house as well as the redesign of a secondary bathroom. The challenge was that I had no additional square footage to capture and limited space to work with. Not only did he brilliantly design both but he made suggestions that I would never have thought of which made the spaces more elegant and functional. He was most helpful on all aspects of the job. From drawings as well as choice of materials and surfaces to you. He is incredible with small details that make such a visual difference.
Additionally his input was critical in the choice and design of the new standing seam metal roof that I added, the design and choice of materials to use on the remodel of the second story of my home including window choices and placement and the design of a rear terrace and choice of stone plus overall design. . What started as a simple bathroom remodel ended up being almost a total house remodel with interior and exterior work,
David was a dream to work with. He was available and accessible when i needed him, he worked well with may contractor and had excellent suggestions. He is the ultimate professional as well as a good friend.. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

We hired David to update an existing 1950's ranch and he did an amazing job. We were first time home owners taking on a huge project with little knowledge and he helped every step of the way. His attention to detail and professionalism are beyond compare. He was very organized and on time which kept the project moving. I was very happy with the finished product and I would highly recommend him. More...

David designed the addition to our mid-century home in Oakland. We get so many compliments on it! It is beautiful and really looks like it was always part of the house. I am (annoyingly) detail-obsessed and David was patient and thoughtful throughout the process. Even though he is based in Dallas, he visited the site several times and was in regular contact with our contractor. It always felt like a collaboration. David listened carefully to our needs, presented multiple options and provided smart yet aesthetically pleasing solutions to all of our critical issues. He is an excellent collaborator who took input from our contractor when limitations came up. We now have a proper master bedroom with a lovely walk-in closet and master bath, as well as a laundry room right off the kitchen. The layout is logical and the spaces flow nicely. David was a pleasure to work with and we are grateful for his talents. More...

David Benners did a fabulous job on my house. Originally slated to be torn down by a previous owner, he saw the potential! He worked well with a notoriously difficult building office and also with the local contractor in Aspen with a few trips from Dallas. He has wonderful taste and lots of creativity. And he doesn’t charge an arm or a leg...and as a one person firm you work directly with him, not an assistant. More...

I hired David Benners for complete renovation and addition of a drab 1950's rancher. The house is now very open, modern and bright. David was very attentive to detail and caught things that I would have never noticed. He is innovative and artistic and was able to work well with the existing structure. He worked well with the contractor and took care of any issues when they came up. He helped me with everything from choosing out the appliances to the paint color. He went shopping with me for materials and brought samples to my house. He was patient with me when I changed my mind. Most of all, David is very accessible and available via email, phone and text. I highly recommend David and have already recommended him to friends. I would definitely use him again. More...

I recently completely remodeled my high-rise condominium and David managed the entire project for me, from drawing up the plans to supervising all the work that went on. He was wonderful! He listened very well, and really captured the concepts that I wanted to incorporate into the project (despite my being about as inarticulate about this sort of thing as one can be), he brought forward some creative ideas I wouldn't even have thought off, and he was extremely attentive to detail, both in developing the plans and in supervising the execution. I trusted him to be sure things were getting done properly and to play the "heavy" in the few instances when it was necessary. I was thoroughly pleased with the result, thanks in large part to David's efforts. If I were going to do it all over again, it would definitely be with David! More...

We hired David Benners to help us with a remodel of our old kitchen based on a recommendation of a friend in another city.

His attention to details like the upper and lower 'reveal', the unusual shape of the peninsula, including a well designed hidden pantry, giving the cook a zone without interfering with other kitchen activity, emphasizing height that flows out of the living room space, etc. made a huge difference in the result. He also worked well with our contractor. He really listened to my concerns about functionality and turned them into art.

He also accepted the constraints like finite amount of money and didn't complain (too much...:-) as well as didn't lose interest because of my 'eclectic' taste in furniture.
In the end starting with an architect to give this project initial shape and direction pretty much cured my aversion to remodeling. It wasn't cheap, but the final value was much more than simply $$ spent.

We are grateful for his artistic and professional contributions to this job.
