My mac pro external hard drive got damaged (ok I dropped it !) and required full data recovery. I initially contacted Data Recovery Lab because they are near to my work. I am from the states and on a recent trip to the U.K. had a water issue that made my laptop without a hard drive. I called the data recovery lab (after 2200 on a bank holiday Monday), they promptly answered, and I dropped the laptop off the following day and ~ an hour later had the info that my data was recoverable. The following day I was presented with the directory listing for my hard drive and later that day I was informed I could pick up the recovered data, which was completely preserved.I was frequently in touch with the technical specialist, and was 10 out of 10 satisfied with their service, responsiveness, and support. I was so impressed with this company (recommended to me), who recovered my data after a conplete hard disk drive failure. Joseph and Navid kept me informed, responded to emails virtually immediately, explained the process clearly, took the time to show me on their own computers that my data had been retrieved, and had a temporary disk ready within a couple of days . It wasn't cheap (not to mention the cost of a new PC, although that was long overdue - and part of the problem), but in this case you really get what you pay for. The cost of losing my data would have been far greater. And better to go to a reliable company than to risk someone you don't know having a go and possibly making things worse, or even unfixable. I know it was my fault for not backing up properly - I won't let that happen again - but at least the retrieval process went smoothly and saved me a lot of worry. More...

Had some serious damage on my USB stick which rendered it unusable. After looking online through various data recovery companies, I found Data Recovery Lab. I first got in touch with them to get a quote and to find out if they are able retrieve all my data from the chip inside the USB. They informed me that they are able to retrieve all the data and the quote that was given for such repairs was at £320 + VAT, this could go up or down depending on the severity of the damage. As my USB stick was severely damaged, nothing could be done to repair it back to the state it was before. So all my data was retrieved successfully and put onto a new USB, the total cost of all of that came to £540 including VAT. After payment my USB was sent back to me and all my data was there.Overall my experience of using this company has been great, even if the price of the repair was a little high, it was well worth it as i got all my important files and documents back and there are other companies out there quoting cheaper prices but are very unreliable and can have the actual cost of repair/ retrieval of data to be much higher than Data Recovery Lab, so if you are looking for a honest company that can guarantee the return of all your data then i would say go with Data Recovery Lab, the reviews tell you everything you need to know to make the right decision. I would also like to give a special thanks to Fafa who kept me updated of the progress of the repair and for her quick response to all enquiries i had. My important data is normally backed up at least twice but on this occasion due to an oversight it wasn't (my bad) so I approached Data Recovery Lab. What I received was an extremely quick and well delivered service. Joseph, who I mainly dealt with, kept me appraised of the initial problem and progress at all times. My main concern was 700gb of gigapixel images in Photoshop psd format ranging from 4gb to 40gb in size that I shot from 2017-18. DRL not only managed to recover all of these but also 100% of my other mixed data. Price wise I have little to compare them with as this was the first time in over 25 years I have lost a significant amount of data that couldn't be easily recreated. Suffice to say that the cost was significantly less than the replacement value (i.e. the time, effort and money travelling to various countries, re-shooting and processing these extremely large images).I hope that I don't have to but in the future, should the need arise, I would definitely use their service again. Excellent service from start to finish. I initially phoned to ask if my hard drive data could be retrieved, fearing that an electrical fault may have caused permanent damage. I was instantly reassured and told, in-depth, about the potential cause for the data loss, the service that they provided, and an estimate on the cost. I was kept up to date throughout the process via an online portal that provided a secure platform for communication. The hard drive was repaired and all the data on it from the last 4 years (much to my relief!!) was recovered and transferred onto another drive.Couldn’t be more impressed with the service and the quick turn around. Initially I was dubious but I am pleased I chose DRL. My external hard drive was dropped on a real wooden floor and remained intact. However, once connected to a laptop it started to 'sing'. I called DRL and they clearly explained their processes and expectations and what I could expect from them. I was able to drop it off that same evening and they diagnosed the problem that same evening (within a 2 hour window!). Understanding the urgency and my position, all my data was recovered by midday the following day and I had everything back in the evening.
