A nice place to do your morning email/newspaper checks or meet friends for affordable food and coffee, or just rest if you've been out and about. Can get quite busy on weekend mornings.
First floor has the friendly staff waiting to take your order and a couple of tables and toilets, second floor has more tables set between book shelves of books which are for sale if you wish to pick one. More...

Really nice place, very cozy. The staff is also very friendly. There are though some minor things that they should improve because they can make a bad impression in an otherwise nice cafe.
For example, it is odd to charge 80p just to toast a sandwich!
Also, the pancakes are premade and they just warm them before they bring them to you. At least they could have given a little more Nutella instead of 2 single servings for 4 pancakes.
The freshly squeezed orange juice is already squeezed. I feel that there is a difference between freshly squeezed and daily squeezed.
Despite these, it is really nice to drink your coffee surrounded by books and I will definitely visit it again. More...
