I legit think this is some of the best pizza you can get in town. There is a pizza with peppers on, I forgot what it's called but they were delicious. Came to Omaha for work and stopped here on my first night. The food was fantastic. Even the simple starting salad with lemon dressing and pistachios was amazing! One of the best three pizzas in Omaha. They use a wood fired oven, rendering crisp and tasty fare. The farm to table approach informs their pasta, salad and other dishes as well. The space is warm and inviting, although sometimes a tad noisy. A nice patio as well. Service is excellent. Prices are fair. Good gluten free options. Highly recommended. Whenever I am back in Omaha I ALWAYS am sure to go to Dante. It is my go to restaurant to bring visitors to showcase Omaha's food scene. The hyper-seasonal, farm to table concept creates such an amazingly creative, fresh, and unique dining experience every single time. With a rotating menu I always try to order something new, Chef Nick Strawhecker does duck EXTREMELY well and so I would highly recommend whatever his duck offering is at the time of your visits. The pizzas are all phenomenal, I personally love the fungi and the monterosso with the fingerling potatoes which are absolute classics. Be sure to get it with an egg on top, you will thank me later. For a pasta dish there are always a plethora of options, one that is usually on the menu is the carbonara an Italian classic that is one of my favorite dishes at Dante. Dante is such a gem and a leader in Omaha's growing food seen, the mission of fresh, local, sustainable, and seasonal all are contributing factors to creating such a unique, creative, and interesting meal. Hands down our go to pizza place in Omaha. My wife has Celiac's so she can't have gluten. They have been nothing but great every time she's ordered and has never left with any gluten induced side effects. We really enjoy the atmosphere and the staff. We sat at the bar one time just for drinks and were blown away by the bartender's knowledge of not only wines, but so many different alcohols. I'm talking knowledge of locations of where wines were made and the flavors they pull because of location, soils, etc. Beyond that, we love the food and love to come for a nice meal that's priced well for the atmosphere and food options. Went here with a group from work. We showed up right as they opened, but they were able to seat us and serve us immediately. We had the Brussels sprouts and ricotta and jam with bread starters. They were both pretty good, nothing amazing though.Great choices of thin crust, old-school Italian pizzas with slightly charred crust. I had really high hopes here, but was a little underwhelmed when I picked up the first piece of my "Giuseppe" pizza with roasted peppers and the first half of the slice plopped onto the plate from the flaccid soggy point. The crust was quite soggy in the middle despite the beautiful charring on the outside. I asked the others and their White Sauce and Potato and Diavolo pizzas were the same way. Have written a review before but had to write another one. Dante is still amazing. Diavolo with a farm-egg on top was divine. Tried the cacio e pepe today and it was also incredible.
