Many years ago, Dan helped me get fit for the London marathon 2015 after I tore my calf 4 months before. Using the Anti gravity treadmill at the gym, Dan was able to get me to run my 1st international half marathon in Feb that year. Cannot recommend Dan highly enough, approached Dan last year after a calf tear looked like derailing my marathon training for the London marathon. Not only did he offer professional advice but he helped to keep me sane and keep me going. Even after a major setback with the injury reoccurring Dan kept helping, advising and supporting. Couldn't have don't it without him and for that will be eternally grateful. A great trainer but most importantly to me, he is a great human being!!!! I first went to The Gym in April 2019. I had my leg in 'The boot of shame' from an achilles injury. Straight away I was out of the boot and doing exercise to strengthen parts of my body that I hadn't been using properly. I was back to running the next month completing a Marathon, 2 Half Marathons and 100 miles, with Dan constantly messaging me with support all the way round. Something the staff at NHS said wouldn't be possible. Now I go regularly to build my core, upper body and work on getting a sub 2 hour Half. Its hard work and Dan knows how to push you safely through those walls. Dans knowledge, skill advice and support has gotten me fitter than i've felt in a decade! And try the smoothies. More...

I’ve only just started at the gym and I love it dan is such a positive influence on people who feel ashamed to go to the gym because they feel people would judge them on the way they look however dan doesn’t. Brilliant - Dan has helped me with my stroke rehab, having had a stroke in July 2010, spending 16 wks in Cheltenham hospital in rehab,2 mths at home, a further 10 wks in a neuro rehab centre in Oxford,I started to work with Dan in March and my stamina has gone from strength to strength, he has helped me gain the independence I need to go out and walk on my own. Dan has been providing bi-weekly group sessions for Swindon Tri-Club and following on from that I went along to his studio in Cheltenham where I used the Watt Bike and Anti-Gravity running machine together with the vibroplates. From this I have learnt that my hamstrings don't engage as well as they should and I have been using the exercises Dan has taught me to improve this. I get easily bored when it comes to exercise but Dan mixes things up with different activities such as the VibroGym, AlterG treadmill and my current favourite, boxing! I first made contact with Dan 7 months ago after I had applied for my first London Marathon. I was overweight, unfit and had no idea where to start with any training. Dan encouraged me to believe in myself and was extremely patient during our training sessions, even at times when my body let me down with recurring injuries. I needed a professional view on my training regime and diet as my running stamminer and speed seemed to have deteriorated after 3 years since i took up running. <br />Dan came and sat and talked to me for a good hour about my excersise regime and diet, and any injuries i may have or pick up while running. Dan comes every week to do boxing training with our 13 year old Son Jake. Jake has a problem with his knees that he will grow out of but needs plenty of the right sort of excerise, we've had nothing but fantastic advise and special exercises to do to strengthen up Jakes knees, Jake looks forward to his session with Dan as they have a good laugh and great fun thoughout the session (lot's of<span id="moreReview120177" class="hide"> boxing going on though), Jake can see for himself how strong and fit he's getting, Jake plays rugby so Dan incorperates exercises to help Jakes rugby Skills, Dan is an amazing Trainer who I would recommend to any one and he's brilliant at getting the best out of Jake during a training session.</span>

Have attended both running club and circuit training for the last 5 weeks. Fantastic support provided during the sessions and also afterwards. Dan makes circuit training a fun session whilst also giving you a full workout and is happy to change the routine if the group want more leg / tummy /arm exercises. I came to Dan to lose weight and improve my fitness. I am terrified of the gym so it was a big step me contacting him. He was amazing and made me feel very comfortable. My neurologist suggested exercise could help with the terrible fatigue I get as a symptom of MS so I duly joined a gym…..alien territory for me. I tried a ‘get results’ programme to help get to grips with all that equipment but though initially felt the benefits fatigue and lets face it dislike of exercise was getting the better of me. Dan is an excellent trainer, I have seen previous trainers before him, and i found he was the best. I found he caters to what you want and your needs. Very funny. Best trainer!!!

About 3 and half years ago I decided I wanted to get back into shape, so I joined a gym and over the first 3 or so years, lost weight and got a bit fitter. However I found no matter what I tried, I just couldn’t seem to progress any further. I was also starting to get knee pain both during training and in day to day life. <br /><br />I decided to have a Personal Training session with Dan 3 months ago<span id="moreReview87959" class="hide"> and WOW. I can honestly say, I've made more progress in the last 3 months then I have in the last 3+ years!! <br /><br />Dan took a lot of time to understand what I wanted to achieve, what I had tried in the past, and to understand the problems, (such as my knees) I had been having. <br /><br />He very quickly identified areas of weakness, and gave me a custom work out program to work too. He also took time to analyse a food diary and show me where I was going wrong!!<br /><br />I am really pleased with the results I've achieved in such a small space of time with Dan.
