Richie at Damron did my Deva cut and color. He is fabulous - it's the best cut and color I've had here in Austin! He's super warm and genuine and makes you feel right at home. The whole salon is great too. Brisa is terrific and really made sure I had everything I needed. So sweet! Richie also went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and cozy during all of the processes he did on my hair (deep conditioning, toning down the color, etc.). I have natural curly hair and have had way too many bad hair cuts so I was very nervous about getting my hair done but it was in bad shape. Richie made me feel comfortable from the start and promised that my hair would rock . He listened to me about what I wanted and I forgot all about being nervous and couldn’t wait to see how it would look . And he was right! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT ! I knew I loved my Deva cut from Richie the moment he was done. The cut AND the color were *exactly* what we talked about. I wanted to wait awhile to write my review because I wanted to see what I could do with my hair and how it would be in different environments . I am amazed at how the right cut for curls can completely change how you feel in so many situations - from work to the beach to playing outside - I haven't been concerned about my curls - they keep LOOKING GREAT! Richie had his work cut out for him too because he was tasked with trying to undo a terrible cut from a few months earlier. I didn't have a ton of hope but he completely proved me wrong. He is amazing!A week after Richie did my Deva cut i brought my 7 year old neice to see him. I never want her to be ashamed of her curls. The salon itself is very cute and clean on the inside. All the chairs are comfortable if you have to sit for a while.My stylist, Richie was amazing! I came in with hair I didn't know what do with, and not only did he cut and style my hair perfectly, but he also taught me how to reproduce the look on my own at home.  His techniques took my hair from frizzy to sleek and voluminous. This was my second visit, and Richie has been consistently AMAZING. My hair not only has gotten more curly since the last visit (no small feat since it's seemed half-heartedly wavy for ages), but also I can actually reproduce how fantastic it looks at home every time! Richie walked me through the whole process the first visit with hands-on time, and this time, we talked about what worked, what changed, and how to fine-tune what I do at home to make it even better. Richie gave me the experience and haircut of a lifetime!!! I'm not even from Austin, but I'd be willing to fly out there for hair cuts. I don't want anyone else touching my hair. It took years to find such a great cut and finally I found it! The price was reasonable and the service was good. Richie took his time with me, explained everything he was doing, made me feel so comfortable though I was nervous, and took good care of me. They even have wine and chocolate that's included! It was a cute place and I am going to continue to recommend it to my family and people I meet in Texas :) If you're nervous, let this ease you. I have the thickest, curliest, frizziest hair of all time and Richie helped me understand my hair. I feel like I'm seeing myself for the first time! It's a crazy transformation. I got the devacut. Richie is Ahh-mazing! My 5 year old daughter has curly hair and a lot of it... I was super nervous about finding a new stylist for her because the last time it ended up drying crooked. But I'm so relieved to have found Richie at Damron Salon! He did a Deva cut/style and he did not disappoint. He talked me through the process and showed me the products as he used them. He was super patient, answered any questions I had, and made sure my daughter was comfortable in the process! The last three salons I went to for a haircut were awful and I left in tears. I was way overdue for a new haircut but kept putting it off because I didn't know where to go. ...until today. I read the reviews and decided to give this place a try. Best. Decision. Ever. Richie is absolutely the greatest!!!!! He knew I was apprehensive due to prior bad experiences but was super patient with me and put me at ease immediately. He listened to all my ideas and my input on how my hair "handles" and factored it into the cut and style. I am so elated to have found a stylist that I trust and like. This salon. Is. Awesome. I had the pleasure of meeting with Chloe, who's been the first stylist I've seen in fifteen years. Requested a full Devacut and styling session in order to get my curls back to life, and I'm floored by the results. I'll admit that I was pretty nervous, but after watching many videos on YouTube of the Deva experience, I had to give it a shot.Chloe was so nice-- a very relaxed personality that made me feel comfortable for my first professional cut.The salon itself was also a fun and warm environment. Susan is the absolute best! She listened to exactly what I wanted and really understood what it is I was wanting to get out of this cut. She explained everything she was doing and listened to what I had to say about what I was currently doing and the pros and cons of what she did. I LOVED that I never felt judged for the products I was using (an unfortunate problem I have experienced elsewhere) and there was absolutely no pressure whatsoever to purchase the products she used. And she gave me her personal phone number for any questions I had, which was so kind of her and I did end up reaching out and was so thankful for her quick response! This place is the best. It has everything you could possibly want and need for an enjoyable salon experience. They have fantastic stylists, products, and complimentary treats such as coffee, tea, wine, and chocolate. I see Chloe Ainsworth, and I highly recommend her. We went to school together, and our teachers still come to her for their hair. They carry Deva Curl as well, which I've been looking for for some time. And my hair has never looked better! Chloe is a rockstar! She gave my sister the best hair cut she's ever had, in my opinion, and is an absolute wizard with hair color. I have long hair, which can be a pain in the butt to color, but she made the process as painless as possible, and she used Lanza products.
