I first met Damian 6 months ago. I was having problems with my 3 year old miniature dachshund who was fear aggressive and would lunge and try to bite other dogs. Her behaviour was also making me anxious and I had stopped enjoying walks with her. Damian not only assessed her and advised me on how to manage her, he met me a number of times where we would walk in areas with many dogs and today I did my first walk with her completely off the lead for a whole hour. She is finally learning not to be so petrified of other dogs. This is not the end and I will always manage her carefully but I now have the tools and the confidence to cope. We asked Damian for help with our 6 year old dog who was suffering from seperation anxiety and reactive issues, we couldn't leave him for longer than a few minutes without him howling and whining. Damian was very accommodating and came out to start working with us within a few days. Damian was honest from the beginning and told us this could take months to fix depending how much work we could put in and how willing we were to stick with his advice. 2 weeks later we have managed to leave him alone for 6 hours with no destructive behaviour whatsoever! Damian also bought 2 of his own dogs along and had our dog walking next to him within 20 minutes (only going as far as our dog was comfortable with and assessing each movement), he gave us so much advice and clearly has a passion for dog training. We have found and used cheaper dog trainers for his reactive issues previously, none of their advice actually worked which is why we turned to Damian for help! He has a very calm way with dogs and does not use any forceful methods. Damian came round on 22/05/19 to see our German Shepherd who was showing aggression in the home to strangers. At 4 years old we thought we were stuck with him as he was. We went for the three hour visit to make sure Damian saw the full picture of our dogs behaviour. We have been given a comprehensive report and have already seen the benefits of his expert advise! We had a 1-1 Session a few months ago & a follow up with Damian on the 20th to help us with our NERVOUS Great Dane. Our Dog is Nervous with strangers and a very frustrated greeter when it comes to dogs - lead reactive. With the advice given and techniques shown, I couldnt be happier with my dogs progress. Had an extremely beneficial and enjoyable session a couple of weeks ago with Damien. It has transformed walking my dog into a pleasurable experience. Amongst other advice, Damian showed me lots of ideas for stimulating play with Finn whilst on a walk. My dog has picked these games up brilliantly. Not only has it helped us bond, and become much closer, I have gained his full attention, enabling me so much more control. From the moment I spoke to Damian on the phone about the problems we were having with our dog I felt like he had already met him! He knew so much about how he was behaving and why it gave us confidence that we had met the right trainer to work with our dog and importantly us. Damian's professionalism Skills and knowledge has helped us to transform our dogs behaviours where I once thought that there was no hope. Took Scout, our Romanian rescue dog, for a one to one session with Damian. Needed help with problems including constantly pulling hard on the lead, recall and “over enthusiasm” around cyclists, joggers and other dogs. Should add that at the time we had had Scout for 2 weeks, he’s 18 months old and had not had any socialisation training. Damian immediately established control and within minutes had Scout on a training lead responding to commands. He also provided lots of practical advice and guidance to help structure a realistic training plan - very reassuring and supportive. Scout is a large very powerful dog, and after three weeks following Damian’s advice, we are finding that walks are already becoming more enjoyable and we beginning to see big improvements. Having being pestered for years to get a puppy we finally gave in and welcomed Dexi (cockapoo) to our home. We researched trainers and asked friends and Damian’s name kept coming up so we booked 6 puppy lessons. Damian was an absolute godsend to me. He has trained both of my dogs. They are both rescues who had their own challenges and he helped them to gain confidence, learn essential skills and even find their manners! Absolutely the best dog trainer in the area! Been to puppy classes, a group class which was gun dog training and also done 1 to 1 classes and Damian explains everything so clearly and makes you understand where you are going wrong and how to Deal with it.

Had a 1-1 session with my boxer Louis and Damian. Would highly recommend if you have any lead reactive issues with your dog! Actually managed to walk past several dogs without any reaction. Damian took control of Louis and showed me how to handle and walk him and how to correct when he was going to react! We managed to walk with a few dogs! I can't thank Damien enough for all his help with our 2.5 year old Cavapoo.
I found Damien on the internet after doing some reasearch on dog behaviourists. After looking at his website and finding out more about his work I knew that I wanted to work with him.
Damien identified that my dog was portraying territorial aggression and gave us a number of steps to take to help to resolve this. I can honestly say that very quickly we started to see changes in his behaviour and 5 weeks on he is a different dog for the better.

I have been very impressed with Damian and would not hesitate to recommend him.
Following a referral I contacted him about 5 weeks ago having acquired a German Shepherd puppy. I had had it 3 days and was struggling with many things. Damian very quickly came to my house and explained a number of things that I needed to do with Prince.
I also explained that eventually I am hoping that the dog will spend some time with my mother as a compassion/carer dog. Damian stressed that I needed to start socialising Prince straight away and should not wait until after his injections. This advice has been invaluable and only this morning young children in the park were stroking him and giving him treats.
Damian also suggested fun ways to start training Prince in the house before I could take him out in the park. Prince has responded really well and clearly this has been due to Damian's advice to start training straight away.
Prince and I have since been to see Damian at his outdoor training facility which is great-two secure fields-where we had a 1 to 1 where Damian moved us onto recall training.
We are due to attend Damian's puppy classes this week and I have no doubt that what I will learn will be invaluable.
Damian clearly assesses your dog very quickly and advises you accordingly as well as pointing out the things that will also need to be looked out and addressed in the future based on your dog's temperament, character and the breed.
Without doubt I will continue to use Damian for Prince's ongoing training. Overall he is a great guy who in my opinion deserves the reputation that he has. More...

I hired Damian to train my Patterdale Terrier, they are notoriously hard to train and excitable little dogs. Not only did he help get her into routines, but I had loads of great tips to carry on forward into the future.
