Booking a two night stay through travel zoo was very straight forward with no complications. The day before we were to arrive I received an e-mail from the hotel saying they were looking forward to welcoming us the following day,I thought this was a very nice touch. We were extremely pleased with the room, very spacious and spotlessly clean.Lovely complimentary toiletries and large fluffy towels. We had dinner in the restaurant both nights and breakfast in the morning. Dinner was lovely quality food, not large portions but adequate.Waiting staff were very pleasant and attentive and a feeling of calm prevailed in the dining room which was lovely.Breakfast was delicious, self service cold buffet with excellent selection of fresh fruit and cereals cooked food order given to waiting staff. This hotel is a great location for Tunbridge Wells which is a fabulous town for retail therapy ,absolutely wonderful shops and eating establishments also convenient for several national trust properties.I cannot comment on the golfing facilities. All the staff we came in contact were excellent. We stayed here for one night while in the area on business. The room was so comfortable facing the golf course, the bathroom was a good size and the bed was one of the best I have slept in. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was very nice. All staff were very friendly and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again when in the area. More...

We stayed for a 1-night stay for our anniversary on a Travelzoo deal.||Lovely location & hotel was very clean, lovely staff & service. ||We arrived early & the room wasn’t ready so had a walk in the nearby village of Wadhurst.||The room was huge (221) & spotlessly clean with lovely views of the golf course.||We enjoyed the 18th bar which had a great atmosphere with the golfers enjoying the days game & all watching the football on the large screen.||The room was very quiet with everything you could need for an overnight stay, tea/coffee, free water, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, safe, bathroom products etc.||We had bath & shower & was lovely bright & clean with quality fluffy towels.||We enjoyed the meal in the restaurant which we had pre booked which was by the window.||Service was nice, relaxed & good timings between courses and didn’t feel rushed.||The portions weren’t huge, but they didn’t need to be because the food was so tasty.||We were given a complementary truffles on a plate wishing us “Happy Anniversary” which we thought was a nice touch.||We finished the night in the lounge bar which was unfortunately very quiet this particular night but was a nice way to end the night with a brandy.||We didn’t use the leisure facilities but had a nice small gym & pool with loungers around.||Breakfast was in the restaurant & was with lovely views over the golf course.||Tea/Coffee & toast brought to the table with a help yourself buffet with quality produce.||Check out was quick & efficient with no hassle or fuss.||We decided to visit Rye which was only 30mins drive & definitely worth a visit if you have time to explore the cobble streets, shops & a drink in the Mermaid Inn. We visited for the first time for our annual Kent Past Captains golf tour. We were made extremely welcome on arrival and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was excellent and the remainder of our party were also very pleased with their respective accommodation. Although both golf courses were extremely wet the Professional was very accommodating with our needs. The evening meals were of good quality with breakfasts to die for. It can only. It can only be described as a very enjoyable and successful golf tour. More...

Eight of us went to this very enjoyable evening's entertainment. The hotel is excellent, the rooms spacious as are the bathrooms, incorporating both a walk in shower and bath. Beautiful location, having two Golf Courses and some lovely walks. ||My partner and I have previously stayed at this hotel where we have found both dinner and breakfast extremely good. Our visit this time certainly did not disappoint on these points.||The only problems we had at the event were we felt the bar could have been better stocked and although coffee cups were brought to the table no coffee appeared. Although this would not stop us returning to the hotel, it is the reason it was not given 5 stars. More...

Lovely hotel. Very quiet location and good for touring the area. Large room (superior double room 304 in the new block) with private patio outside. Large, comfortable bed. Bottled water supplied daily. Lovely soft towels. Big walk in shower.Didnt play golf but swam daily. Swimming pool is quite small but very warm water. No Jacuzzi and small changing room. Restaurant expensive so ate in the bar one night. Okay but very limited choice with only ice cream for desert.Overall very good value for money by booking through Expedia and would go again. More...

Really enjoyed a days golf followed by supper and a stay over. Went here for a charity day, the course was challenging and the greens were good. We were made very welcome. The evening event , the staff had to feed 120 people in a very short space of time. They were marshalled so well, the food was hot and really of high quality which when you are serving that many isn't always the case. The whole evening was a success, largely due to the friendly and helpful staff. The room was a good size, bed comfortable and shower room was clean and tidy. Overall I would rate this place highly, well worth a stay and a round of golf. More...

We had booked a night and two rounds of golf. The old course wasn’t very interesting the first night was just an up and down hills, rather slow round. The hotel room was spacious and very comfortable, while our dinner was quality food very delicious, the time it took to be served took the charm off the experience. Forty minutes to get our starters. Disappointing! The Woosnam course saved the weekend. Difficult and testing but a splendid course. A more organised restaurant service is needed. More...

We stayed here for two nights and was very impressed with most aspects of this hotel.||||The room was large and very clean, the bar areas were also very nice and well layed out, the pool looked lovely and the grounds were just stunning. Staff were very friendly, check-in/out was a very straight forward and the food (including breakfast) was also very nice.||||I'm not a golfer, but even I could tell that the course looked very well maintained and have some stunning views.||||However, there were a couple of things that could have been better and reading some of the comments below, it seems that I'm not the only person to have noticed them. Because of privicy and safety reasons, we couldnt have the patio door open at night which resulted in the room being very hot and stuffy, the mini fan provided didn't help much (there was a sign saying that a summer blanket was in the wardrobe, but there wasn't one) Service in the bar, could have been a bit quicker (one person trying to handle two bars didn't really work) but not to the point where it became a real issue||||Would I recommend? Yes :-) More...
