What do you love most about your job?
I love working with people. Over my 25 year career in Public Accounting, I have had the opportunity to work with many business owners and managers and help them satisfy regulatory, lender and donor requirements. I truly enjoy getting to know each and every one of my clients and reconnecting with them annually. Over the years I have seen many different controls and methods of capturing accounting and have therefore been able to provide my client with suggestions to possibly streamline their efforts. I want to assist my clients by giving them the piece of mind that when they hire me, I will complete the work in a timely manner to ensure their timely compliance with any deadlines they have, leaving them to worry about building their business.
What inspired you to start your own business?
As the Partner in Charge of the Financial Statement Audit Department at a small CPA firm for 15 years, I built a very successful team and ensured that my clients enjoyed continuity, and excellent service. I was able to promise to complete a project by a specific deadline and deliver on that promise each and every time. As our business grew, the Firm was acquired by a large national Firm. After almost a year with the National Firm, I realized that I could not control all aspects of the client service of my clients which was the impetus to establish my own firm and provide the service I was used to providing to my clients and that which all clients deserve.
