I cannot say enough good words about Culinary Delight- the service, attention to detail, and food are top notch. I contacted Culinary Delight and reached Ms. Emma to cater the repast for my Father in Law's memorial service. Although my request came just 3 days before the service, Emma was able to accommodate our request. The day of the service, she and her team arrived early to set up and a beautiful display of delicious food and beverage was waiting for our family and friends. Ms. Emma exceeded our expectations with providing additional menu and desert items at her compliment. We enjoyed the baked chicken, green beans, mac and cheese, green salad and fresh fruit. I saw a review here from someone who had to organize a memorial service for their parent from long distance, which was exactly my situation.  I called Emma and after 3 minutes of talking with her I knew we were in good hands.  With everyone else happening when there's a death in the family, the last thing you want to be worrying about it the catering -- and I didn't have to think about it for one second once we settled on a menu.  In addition, the food was DELICIOUS, super fresh and with enough diversity to suit everyone's food sensibilities.  We had these little BBQ sandwiches and it was Emma who wisely suggested that we use soft rolls for them because elderly people sometimes had a hard time with crusty things.  The fruit and desserts were beyond fresh and amazing; people raved about the little creme brûlées.  The mac and cheese and BBQ was delish.  Despite the fact that I think the estimated headcount was about right (100 people), there was a TON of food leftover, and with so many of us from out of town and unable to take the leftovers, Emma and her staff took it down to a homeless facility without charging for the extra effort that took.  There was just a lot of love and caring in everything they did.On top of everything, there was a problem with the plumbing in the facility and they just rolled with it, let me know the problem without complaining and how they would handle it.These guys are professional and put on a classy event.  You can't go wrong.  Thanks a million, Emma!! I looked on Yelp for a caterer for my event and saw that Culinary Delight had 5 stars and a number of reviews, and I see why.   Emma was just WONDERFUL from the first time I spoke with her until the moment her and her staff (also amazing) left the event.   I needed a caterer for my two children's graduation party and the moment I spoke with Emma I knew I was in good hands.   She helped me with recommendations for the menu and recommended options for party items.   She was so patience and professional with my many changes to the guest list.    The day of the event she arrived with her efficient staff and they knew exactly what to do to assist me and the guest.   They began cooking and setting up the buffet table and the bar and making sure that everything was looked good.   Everything exceeded by expectations.   During the party the servers were assisting my guest with drinks, cleaning up and making sure that the guests were happy.    All of the food was OUTSTANDING, my guest are still talking about it weeks later.   The Tri Tip was so tender and amazing.  I also had 6 separate cakes and Culinary Delight brought 6 individual cake tiers and set up the cake table and cut and served the cakes to the guest.   I don't know what I would have done without Culinary Delight and especially Ms.  Emma, she was a pleasure to work with and believe me I  highly recommend them to anyone hosting a party, call them, you will be happy you did. I was unable to find a caterer that was willing to work within the time and budget constraints I had for this event which lead me to Yelp. I called CDC and Mrs. Tate and her staff where extremely helpful and accommodating. I was more than pleased with the presentation of the food and most importantly the taste. We stayed in constant communication and everything was delivered surpassed my expectations. I got to look like the hero when all I did was call Culinary Delight. =)The experience was so great that I am now using CDC for my upcoming baby shower and am excited to see what she comes up with for my Dr. Seuss theme (yes, I have requested a green eggs and ham dish). Each star equals 2 stars! Culinary Delight Catering is as good as it gets when it comes to the catering industry.
We hired them to cater my daughters 25th birthday party and were blown away by their level of professionalism and knowledge of how to quickly navigate through our kitchen and asset our house.
They created a menu that was spot on with fun foods from different categories Chicken, Beef, Seafood, Veggies just to give you an idea of how creative they are. The menu was spot on with all the foods the millennials love.
Angelique was on top of everything and the Captain of the servers Deleon was exceptional as well they really know the catering industry.
The food was presented beautifully and it was very fresh and simply delightful, so tasty.
They provided rentals, servers, upscale plastic ware and mixologists.

Left a review on GooglePlus for Ms. Emma, and I didn't realize that I didn't do one here.   We are returning customers for Culinary Delight Catering.   She first catered the appetizers and cupcakes for my wedding celebration and this time it was for my daughters (and my) birthday.   Emma is a pleasure to work with.  This is a family owned business and you get top notch quality with a personal touch.  She will work with you on what's in season and what makes sense, and you really get a sense that she cares ALOT about the quality of her food and serving it how it will be best enjoyed.  You definitely don't need to worry about planning for too little food because you get a TON of food and will have leftovers (which is a good thing!).  So, all those people who didn't RSVP and still show up will have food to eat, no stress :)We also love that she's less than a mile from us.  Love supporting families in our neighborhood and we don't have to go further out for great food. Highly recommend Culinary Delight Catering for great food and a very personal catering experience. I had her cater the appetizers and desserts for my wedding celebration. This included fruit and veggie platters and desserts. The fruit and veggie platters were HUGE. It was no joke that 1 platter feeds 75 people. We had so many leftovers because we didn't have enough people to eat the food (I over did it on the food), but I didn't mind at all. I loved having fresh fruit/veggies for days after the party. The cupcakes were delicious. I'm a bit of a cupcake snob and have tried probably about 20 different L.A. bakeries (probably more). This was the main draw to going with Emma's catering company because of all the cupcake reviews. I was not disappointed. She worked with me to figure out the right amount of cupcakes for the size of the party and kept on top of my many flavor decision changes.
She knows her food... when figuring out a menu she'll work with you on what's in season, what's fresh, what works in your budget and what makes sense with the theme/size of the party.
We are hiring her again for my daughter's 1st birthday (and my birthday) party. This time we're going for the main dish which is her taco buffet menu and a simple cake. I will update my review, but I'm confident that everyone will leave the party with full stomachs.

I found Emma and her company off of Yelp and decided to run with it since my fiance and I were looking for a catering company for our engagement party. I can absolutely say that I am so, so, SO incredibly glad I came across her Yelp page!At the beginning of March, I gave her a call and told her what I wanted to do. I wanted appetizers, a dinner buffet and a dessert bar for around 70 people. Emma and her team coordinated with me up until our party (mid April) to make sure everything was absolutely perfect. Before our event, we discussed my budget, what I was able to get within what I could pay for, what kind of food to have, and basically everything I needed to know in order to make the night go smoothly. They were so helpful and accommodating with everything; my expectations were very much exceeded!On the evening of the event, Emma and her team came over in the late afternoon to set everything up. They started cooking, setting everything up, setting the bar up, and making sure that everything looked good. As someone who often hosts parties, I really didn't have to do anything because I knew that they had everything under control! And then there's the food....omg the food was SO good. The mac and cheese and the braised tri-tip beef were EXCELLENT....and the desserts. I probably ate half of the dessert bar LOL During the party, they were cleaning, getting people drinks, setting food out, and cleaned and packed everything up once they were done. The entire next week, my fiance and I were getting complements left and right about everything! YOU DO NOT NEED TO LOOK ANY FURTHER!! CULINARY DELIGHT CATERING IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS! Emma and Ron are FANTASTIC as they just catered a huge casino night fundraiser for our college program. Emma was outstanding as she worked with our budget, menu ideas, and scheduling perfectly. She was so kind and patient as well as on top of all the "items" I couldn't think of. I wish I could give a gazillion stars, the moon, the sun and my first born, Simba!Ms. Emma is everything everyone here says and more! She and Ron are kind, generous, hilarious, talented, honest and professional in every way. On top of that, they are good people--- in a town (and industry) where good people are few and far between. I travel a lot for work and knew that during the months leading up to my wedding, I'd be traveling extensively, both in and out of the country. Ms. Emma took the "what would I do for my daughter?" approach and handled things with such wisdom and care--- by the time I was back and ready to "do this thing," she was prepared with the best of the best options to make final decisions on. My wedding planner found Ms. Emma randomly online and from the first conversation, I knew they were "the one." She served as a liaison between the rental company (JC Rental) and us, went out of her way numerous times to save us money, gave priceless advice (that only comes from experience), checked in to make sure I wasn't losing my mind and then talked me out of tree when I was, worked with our budget (an understatement) and makes absolutely phenomenal food. I was truly blessed when I was lead to Emma, her husband Ron, and their company Culinary Delight Catering.  I had a very special and unique occasion where I was trying to propose to my girlfriend (now fiancee) at a party with about 60 of our family and friends.  The tricky part was that everything was a SURPRISE.  To add to the challenge I could not be physically present on the day of the event because I was bringing my fiancee and Emma could not be in communication with me at all.  Essentially everything had to be done perfectly without me.  In addition, we held the party at a location that was cluttered with old junk which needed to be cleared out with only a few hours to do so.  This place was where my fiancee and I first met.  Emma had her work cut out for her.  While I was stressing out of my mind with what I was about to do, Emma was always nice, calm, and very helpful.  She went above and beyond everything I had wanted and the event could not have been executed more perfectly.  Emma made EVERYTHING happen just as how I had envisioned it without any problems!  She recommended and followed through with JC Party Rentals for anything I needed.  She had her staff clear out all the junk and set up a grand and fabulous party area.  It was all done quickly and on time.  When I finally arrived and proposed (she said YES!) I was speechless and ecstatic.  All my guests were raving about the DELICIOUS food Emma had prepared and also what a wonderfully delightful person she was.  And it is definitely true what everyone else here is saying, her CUPCAKES are AMAZING!!  Aside from the event itself, I had the pleasure of speaking with Emma over the phone and meeting her and her husband Ron in person.  They are both truly genuine and spiritual people and just a pleasure to speak with!  My guests who arrived before me, some of whom spoke with them while they were setting up all definitely agreed and had the same good things to say about them!  It was a great contrast to the other snobby people I've come across while searching for someone to help me with my event.  Emma was truly someone that I felt could be entrusted with something as important as this and she did not disappoint at all!  Thanks Emma and Ron!  My fiancee and I could not have asked for anyone better! These cupcakes were amazing.  I got 5 dozen cupcakes for my son's birthday party and everyone agreed that they were good.  They are moist and taste so fresh .  It truly tasted like a home baked cake which is a good thing.  It did not taste like the mass produced bakery cakes.  They delivered the cupcakes on a sunday even though it is not their normal delivery time.  They were prompt and the cupcakes came perfectly packaged.  I highly recommend this place. WOW...I'm not the first person to exclaim this...but it is worth repeating! WOW!! What more can I say! This is by far the best catering service I have ever work with!Emma, the owner of the catering service and chef was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is extremely knowledgeable, has been in the business over 30 years and knows what she's doing. I found them on yelp and was impressed by their very high reviews. Now I understand that people are not exaggerating with her service. I first contacted Emma about 3 weeks before my event. We reserved a date and went over menu choices. Given the large amount of people (120), I went for the budget menu of appetizers. $10 per person, a complete bargain for such high quality food. They were able to set me up with tables, high boys, chairs and a dessert stand.  I'll review the different aspects of my event in details below.FOOD: All from the budget menu ($10 per person)1) BBQ beef tri-tip sliders (see photo): These were absolutely DELICIOUS! Moist beef, great BBQ flavor. I really enjoyed the buns they came with as well. We had so many left over that I've been eating them for days. Very filling. 2) Mini Deep dish pizza (see photo): Bite sized cheese (vegetarian) and peperoni pizzas. Delicious, baked to perfection. 3) Caprice Salad: The mozzarella was so soft and Moist, very flavorful. The tomatoes were ripe and I really liked the basil, salt and olive oil flavoring. 4) Meatball lollipops: These were delicious! The meatballs were tender, juicy and had a great teriyaki flavor.5) Stuffed Portobello mushroom caps (see photo): This was another vegetarian option, the mushrooms were very fresh, the filling was a spinach cheese mix, really tasty.6) Grilled Thai chicken Salad (see photo): Grilled chicken breast on fresh lettuce, crispy noodles with a chili Thai dressing. Absolutely fabulous. 7) Mini mac and cheese (see photo): This was a hit! It was so cheesy and had sun dried tomato pieces, REALLY GOOD! 8) Chicken Satay: Grilled chicken breast with chives and a savory sauce. Really good.Emma prepared some of the food on site, fresh as can be! We had our own desserts that a friend baked for us, but Emma and her staff set them up for us for no charge!SET UP: I didn't have to do a thing! Emma arranged table and chair rentals from JC rentals. She arranged for them to drop off the tables before the event and pick them up after. Emma let us choose a theme (I chose blue and gold for my Alma matter) and prepared fresh flower as well. We had five large tables, 8 high boys and a few chairs. The high light of the night was the bar, which had a light-up counter with changing colors, my guests lover it!SERVICE:The servers and bartender were all amazing. Everyone was so nice, even Emma was there most of the night to ensure that things went smoothly. The bartender was very knowledgeable. I purchased my own wine and liquor and the bar tender knew exactly what to do, very classy. The serves passed around appetizers throughout the event. We needed a good spread for our cast and crew on set and Emma knew just what to present. Not only were they punctual and very friendly, but everything from the pinwheel wraps to the crudite platter was gorgeous and incredibly tasty! I have yet to have any cupcakes as good as these in the city of Los Angeles....Sprinkles who?! Lol!...I met the owner of Culinary Delight catering through my father, and not only is she a great baker, but a sweetheart as well :-). She really puts time and care into each and every cupcake, and her effort manifests in their deliciousness. My favorite is the lemon cupcake with the cream icing...I remember my father brought some home for the family and they were so good I was even eating them for breakfast! Lol. I've also heard GREAT things about the Red Velvet cupcakes, but have yet to try them because she always sells out of them so quickly (they're on my "to-do" list though lol). All in all, I think these cupcakes are superb! And I am pretty sure all of her customers agree as I've seen how busy she gets around the holidays or special event times (from what I've heard she's even made Avatar cupcakes for an Oscar party!!). My 80-something year old grandmother can even attest to their goodness as she looks forward to me or my father bringing her some whenever we do (and sweets aren't even really her "thing"). Love at first bite!! My girlfriend got me a dozen Red Velvet cupcakes for me (and the folks in my office) for Valentine's Day. I love a good cupcake (who doesn't?) and I've tried all the 'famous' places - Vanilla Bake Shop, Sprinkles, etc.One bite in, I think my exact thought was "oh my god." The next was "this is amazing." Then "these are way better than the ones she made for me last year (oh crap!)." These are quite easily the best cupcakes in Los Angeles, if not the world. In hearing the story from the GF later, she said the customer service experience couldn't have been more pleasant, the delivery on V-Day was there by 9:30am, and the cupcakes stayed fresh, moist, and delicious - well, not for long, as they were snapped up pretty quickly. I originally ordered these cupcakes for my employees because the price was right. However, after tasting them, I can honestly say that I would happily pay more for them. The weekly meal program was wonderful! The meals were healthy, seasonal, tasty, affordable with ample servings and delightful presentations. The program is boon for busy baby-boomers and caregivers for elderly/sick parents. My 89 year old Father loved the meals, as did I. We really miss them. Highly Recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!! More...

I absolutely recommended Culinary Delight Catering because ""Emma"" is fantastic. She's friendly and knows how to cook/cater and what else can you ask for. The bacon wrapped scallops were delicious, the red velvet cupcakes were amazing, the chipotle chicken skewers with the cranberry sauce were to die for. I was hosting an event for Premier Business Bank and she made it her business to be on time and make the event go as smoothly as possible. Emma Tate provides such personalized service that you will have to search very hard to find anywhere else. she makes the effort to make sure each one of her catering events are a unique experience. I have personally experienced her meal planning service where she personalizes your own unique meal plan according to what you want in your diet. I love picking up my order which has included such specialties as her turkey meatloaf, mixed greens and cabbage, spinach seasoned with resh garlic, my favorite vegetable she prepares for me is her asparagus. My son loves her TriTip which is seasoned to perfection and oh so tender. Culinary Delight Catering is a totally professional company that is very considerate of their clients needs. Every effort is made to make the client feel comfortable and special. The food definitely gives you a ""homemade, warm, made from scatch type feeling, in addition to tasting great. All promises were kept by this company incuding being on time which is a major customer service concern for me.
