I've been wanting to have an online presence to sell my illustrations and show off my graphic design work for quite sometime and Crush Pixels have delivered a website that not only looks stunning, but is highly functional and a doddle to operate.
I supplied designs that have been followed and recreated online giving the user access to my work, as well as an e store where they can purchase prints and canvas's.
I can easily update the blog and portfolio sections of the website, as well as adding illustration work as and when I have a new piece to show.

What makes a great website?
We believe a truly great website, is a site that really portrays your personality and business culture to your customers.
To do this we believe templates are not the answer, a one-fits-all approach from an of the shelf template is only going to make your website look cheap and like many other websites, with no design flair or individuality.
At Crush Pixels we build custom-made websites that don’t rely on pre-purchased themes for functionality or styling, using modern web-standards and page optimizations to deliver a truly unique experience.
One of the many benefits of building a bespoke website without a pre-made template or bloated page builder is page speed and page size. This is, of course, essential, with so many customers now viewing websites on phones and tablets.
So to summarise, we believe a website should NOT use templates and be built with minimal code bloat, file requests and keep plugin use to an absolute minimum, therefore minimising page weight down and load times.

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Before starting a project, we will send the client a Q&A form with questions such as:
* Your company’s history and target audience
* What you want your website to achieve
* What you want your website to look like
* What would need including on your website (such as contact form gallery etc)
* What are the demographics?
* Who is the “ideal type” visitor?
* What are they looking for?
* What will you deliver to them?
* What keywords will potential visitors use to find your website?
With this information, we are in a position to understand your needs right from the outset.
Describe your creative process.
After the completion of the Q&A's form, we will begin the initial layout and design mockups.
The creative director at Crush Pixels will put together a futuristic, eye-catching web interface, with this you can then decide if you would like any tweaks or adjustments to the design before starting the development.
When the client has signed off the design we will begin development.
The development will always be undertaken on a test server and domain so there is never any downtime to your current website (if applicable).
When the development is ready to view by the client, we will send a link to the new website, which you can look at on all devices. Again this will not go live until you are happy with it.
When the client is happy with the website we will begin the migration to the live website, assisting with all necessary steps along the way.

What do you love most about your job?

What inspired you to start your own business?
Having worked for large .com businesses previously, I saw the ease of which a contract employee could be a real integral part of the team whilst working remotely. This really opened my eyes to what I and my company could potentially offer to clients not just globally but on an international basis.
