Absolutely love this gym! It is always super clean, and the staff is very friendly. They know me by name and always greet me when I walk in. I've never felt more at home in a gym. I also love working with my personal trainer, Eric Straughn. I 100% recommend training with him if you're looking for a personal trainer. It is a lovely place with a large room suitable for many occasions, plus smaller room and kitchen. There is lots of seating and tables, plus projection equipment. I love this gym. I don't even live close to this gym but I still drive (even through traffic) to get here. It's much nicer and cleaner than most gyms. The staff, especially Desiree Delrosario, really add to the entire experience. There's a sauna in the woman's locker room. There's such a great variety of exercise equipment, some things I have yet to try. And yet there still appears to be so much space! I go on the mornings, I'm not sure what it's like at peak hours. Carmel Valley locals, share with other Crunch goers!! On March 7th between 4 and 5 PM my wallet was STOLEN from the ladies' locker, cards, DL and all. During that hour the "lady" drive to Mira Mesa boulevard and spent some $2K on my credit card in Staples and Target. It is someone who is a member in CRUNCH or a guest, since we all scan the pass when coming in! Front seat said there were no female janitors at that time. Beware! Unfortunately, Crunch - Carmel Valley appear unable (or unwilling?) to use the data on a scanner in any helpful way... More...

It's too bad this gym got so many dings before it even opened. Running a business especially a gym in this day and age has a lot of red tape/delays that are unavoidable. I had my first workout today and LOVE the gym. Lots of equipment, lots of TVs and lots of parking. Carmel Valley needed a good gym at a good price. I hope the 1 stars come back and rate on the product and not the bureaucracy that governs opening a business. AWESOME!!! More...

First class in every regard. The equipment is all new and the latest in innovations. Plenty of free weights and with a good variety of machines and lots of cardio. The locker rooms are large with plenty of showers and the executive locker room is a real plus, and the staff is top notch. I was a member of the Bay Club and it can't compare to the quality of the gym at Crunch. Gives me everything I need (expect a pool) at 1/5 the cost. More...
