Marcin seems pleasant but that's how he gets his money. You give money and he dies not come when he says. No response when you chase.
We have to buy kitchen doors because other carpenters say he messed up and not able to be fixed we have to buy drawers as he breaks the old attachment.
Attention to detail. There isn't any.
Don't pay. All he does us talk and take breaks. As for rubbish. It stays with you.
He doesn't clean paint, glue, grout.
Just beware More...

Takes money but does not finish work. Has lots of jobs on the go.
Says its not in his agreement to take rubbish so leaves it in the property. In the house and out.
Does not clean his paint from floor. I had to clean up.
Leaves tough residue on tiles so I had to scrub this off.
Everything he touches is a liability.
Don't give money till job is done.
Poor time keeping.
Too many fag breaks.

This is an honest review of our personal experience with Marcin/Martin.

We initially hired Martin to tile our shower. He suggested other little jobs which was fine if they were done without flaws.

I don't really know where to start. We were disappointed in so many ways. Never have we experienced this before.

He suggested taking the shower doors off so we could descale the rollers. However when he was putting the rollers back he quoted sternly "I'm not trying to fit it, I'm trying to fix it".

He placed them back and my husband noticed immediately they were all messed up. The doors were not closing nicely and they were in the wrong place. The door was fine before. He blamed this on the limescale but they were cleaned. He blamed the dust, but he cleaned this. We had to buy new rollers and get someone else to fit them.

He suggested he polish my marble table. He put the wrong polish on so I quickly told him. Then he just left without instructions on what to do ie buff it etc. There were spots in my marble which is the result of too much polish. It's porous material. It's ruined.

Martin's painting was not thorough. Someone else noticed this not just me. I told him and it still wasn't right. He went over it a 3rd time.

Martin arrives late, has a half hour cigarette break on arrival and throughout the day.
He leaves early.

Martin hired someone to do his work who messed up our doors. Martin said it would be 100% when he fixed it. We noticed it wasn't. Martin asked for half the money at the start of our kitchen work, he then asked for £200 more after which he said he would come Tuesday 3pm. He did not. Our kitchen cabinets have had no handles for 2 weeks. Our cabinets were without doors for 10 days. My husband called him when he did not turn up, he did not respond. He called the next day too. No response. However we received a text at 5pm to say he was on his way, great, however he was meaning to text someone else. He also told them he would be returning Friday or Saturday to finish THEIR painting. He has left our kitchen unfinished for 4 weeks.

Martin took our money and didn't turn up to finish our job, not even a phone call.

When I messaged him to say our table was ruined, he said he was sick. He has lied about this before as his worker who did work on my kitchen told me. Also, if he was sick, why did he go elsewhere after 5pm.

Martin has put paint on our kitchen ceiling. His attention to detail is non existent.

He argues with customers over long texts which is so unprofessional.
When you point things out that are not done correctly he is always defensive.

He complains we are fussy however we would not be fussy if his work was good.
We are fussy because:
The rollers are messed up.
The painting is bad.
The nails came through the wood when fixing hinges.
There's paining on the ceiling and floor.
The marble table is ruined.
The primer was left on the tiles again, no attention to detail.
The pan connector wasn't changed despite saying he would and someone else had to do this at a cost.
The rollers cost us £57.00
The table will hopefully be repaired though as it's porous likely won't be fixed.

Martin left his tools in our hallway for weeks, no consideration. He had scratched our hallway paint with the tools.
We still have the tools.
Martin has left rubbish in our front garden that is heavy.

Martin throws his empty drink cans, food wrappers and cigarette butt's in our garden and doesn't dispose of them.

Martin brings up controversial subjects which are unprofessional and spends up to 45 minutes talking.

He keeps saying he never leaves jobs unfinished though he doesn't mention time frame. My husband and I are severely stressed and cannot sleep over this.

Please don't give this man money till after he has done the work. I'm hoping he will do the decent thing and return my £200 plus table damage. More...
