I have been going to CrossFit POW for a few months now. I have an injured elbow so I was Reluctant to join until it healed. Coach Brian assured me that he will customize my work out where it will not impact my injury at all so I joined and I have not looked back! My customized / Modified workouts have been better than I ever expected. I’m getting a full hard work out each and every time. The WODs are never the same. CrossFit POW was the rejuvenation I needed. Not unfamiliar to hard work, I gave myself a challenge 6 months ago, I became a part of the CrossFit POW environment. I knew that taking on the challenges of every W.O.D would be worth the time and great investment in myself.
The people/athletes are more than encouraging, you are lifted UP when you think you cannot take another step or do another rep.
Positive words to express CrossFit POW are endless!! My mind body and spirit has been lifted, invigorated and challenged. I have been a part of the Crossfit POW family for 5 months now and I can proudly say I am the strongest, fastest and fittest I have ever been in my entire life!! If I can see this much positive change both physically and mentally in ONLY 5 months, I can only imagine where I will be in the next 5 months, next year and beyond! All of my amazing accomplishments are thanks to my awesome Coach Brian Nugent!! He has pushed me to exceed every goal and challenge I have set for myself and has truly shown me that I can do absolutely anything I set my mind to.

When I arrive at the box I am always welcomed by my fellow athletes...these people are now my family. We pick each other up when one falls down, and push each other to be the best we can possibly be. I have been coming to Crossfit POW for almost a year now. My wife joined first and kept telling me how great it was and that I should give it a shot because I was wasting my time at the gym and not getting results. After one class I was hooked. From day one Coach Brian has been a positive force that will encourage you to set small individual goals and work towards obtaining the bigger ones you desire. He holds you accountable to them and yourself.

Coach Brian knows what it takes to obtain goals and to succeed not only in Athletics but in Business and in Life. He passes his knowledge and experience on to the athletes that he is training and encourages us to reach our goals. I admire him as he not only talks the talk but he walks the walk. He continues to take courses and expand his own personal growth which he shares with his team.

Under his direction he has created a place where a person will have fun, be challenged, is not judged and will meet their goals well being surrounded by positive and encouraging group of athletes. Just watching all of these videos of Cheryl winning athlete of the month has got me so emotional. I feel truly honoured to be part of such an amazing team...scratch that...such an amazing family. I don't know about you but over the years I have literally thrown away thousands and thousands of dollars in gym memberships. I come from a high level basketball background and once that ended 14 years ago it has been a downward spiral since then for me. Everybody is different and it is important to know yourself. For me I need a team environment. It is where I thrive. My wife and I joined crossfit POW in July 2016 and our 2 sons who are only 9 and 7 just joined at the beginning of January and we absolutely love it! It is exactly what I have been looking for. I finally found it!!! A team made up of motivated, passionate and like minded individuals all after one common goal...committed to being the best version of themselves they can possibly be. We were created to live a life in constant pursuit of excellence by kicking mediocrity to the curb, renewing our minds daily to rise up and take back our lives, families, health, relationships, finances, faith, children and every other aspect of our lives. I have been going to crossfitpow since March 27th/16..so far lost 30 pounds, 18 inches and most importantly after 5 years of high blood pressure medications, the doctor took me off all my blood pressure meds. Coach Brian has encouraged, inspired and even ticked me off (lol) but thanks to him I feel amazing! It's hard to even begin writing a review because of the plethora of positive things I have to say about CrossFit POW.

Coach Brian is one of the most positive and inspirational people I have met in my life. Every single day when I walk into The Box I know I'm in for a challenge that I can and will succeed at. Coach has helped me unlock my full potential and realize just how much my body is capable of. He also offers excellent nutritional guidance, and is always there to pick anyone up who's feeling down. It's impossible to leave a conversation with him feeling unhappy.

Not only is the coaching great, the community is absolutely amazing. I have made so many great friends that I look forward to seeing every week, both inside and outside The Box. We're a team at CrossFit POW, nobody gets left behind and it's thanks to the amazing teammates I have that I've gotten to where I am today. We always build each other up and assist each other in unlocking our full potential.

Long story short, CrossFit POW is the absolute best place you can go if you want to change your life. I thank God for leading me to Crossfit POW. Coach B has been instrumental in helping me in my pursuit of total well-being: a healthy mind, body and spirit.
Physically- I’ve lost over 40 pounds and gone down 4 dress sizes. I’m the strongest I have ever been and I’m seeing muscles where fat used to lay! I never played sports growing up and training with Coach B makes me feel like the athlete I always wanted to be. God’s timing is so perfect- I’m able to experience this in my mid 40’s and my 4 children are able to witness my transformation. The life lessons its taught all of us on hard work, commitment, goal setting, perseverance and nutrition is priceless.
Coach B is what makes Crossfit POW different from any gym, boot camp or other Crossfit box. His experience as a pro athlete, together with his education and continuous training produces results. We are a diverse group of people-students, athletes, professionals, mothers... all with different athletic abilities. Coach knows what your capable of and you feel safe as he is there watching and teaching you proper technique. What you get is similar to personal training but in a group setting. It’s a fun, non-judgemental environment where we encourage each other through the challenges and celebrate our victories together. You become a part of a family at Crossfit POW.
Being healthy starts with a strong mind and Coach always says he’s there to train your mind. From remembering proper form to mentally preparing you to pick up a heavier weight or to getting your mind right to finish your workout strong. Each day the workout is different. I used to be scared not knowing what lay ahead but Crossfit POW has helped me to be mentally prepared to face whatever challenges may come my way both in and out of the gym.
Coach B is constantly educating us on nutrition and guides us on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle and in turn create healthy homes.
