This place has been my happy place for over 3 years now. The coaches are top notch - AMAZING!! Super knowlegable and always take care of us to make sure we’re safely getting the best workout based on our individual abilities. We spend a lot of time working on form and warming up for the fun. They never leave anyone to die in a workout - movements are scaled to something manageable for each person. Fellow crossfitters are all amazing, welcoming, supportive, fun people, too. Joined a gym with this owner back in 2016 and it’s the healthiest I’ve been in my whole life. I could not find motivation to make working out a habit and felt super self conscious trying group classes. So, I've been on a fitness/weight loss journey for almost two years and have always been curious about CrossFit...just never did anything about it. Well, I had been wanting to try it so I called around to various gyms (boxes) to ask questions and learn about it. I've worked with personal trainers in traditional gym settings in the past, and my dad was a Fitness Professional before he retired, so my main concern was finding somewhere that was able to teach and help me do the workouts correctly so I don't hurt myself.I called CrossFit Sac, and set up a No Sweat appointment with one of the coaches Luke. After that, I decided it was absolutely worth a try. He explained their training and coaching philosophy in a way that made me feel comfortable. I had a good feeling about this place the after talking with Luke, I didn't feel that with any of the other places I called.So, I signed up and started the on-ramp process, which is four 30 minute sessions with a coach to learn the basics.I started doing the classes, and I've fallen in love with this fitness philosophy. The coaches are so helpful, encouraging, and give great feedback. Also, the folks in the class encourage each other. This is so much better than going to another gym where everyone is in their own world listening to music and on their phones.Also, please don't be afraid to try this if you're thinking that there's no way you're fit enough to do this! That was one of my big fears, and it has no basis in reality.I leave every workout feeling like the time I spent was worthwhile and with a sense of accomplishment. I rarely felt this way leaving CalFit or 24Hour.If you've been wanting to try CrossFit, I strongly recommend these guys. They're good people and really care about their clients. More...

I just joined this gym after not knowing anything about CrossFit and so far it’s been a great experience! I was always told that you’ll get hurt doing CrossFit but that hasn’t been my experience at all. The trainers are amazing and they take the time to make sure that your form is right. As a 61-year-old grandmother who could barely get up off the floor after playing with my 1-year-old grand-daughter, I was encouraged try CrossFit by my 26-year-old niece. I am incredibly thankful for that recommendation and for finding CrossFit Sac. I started 10/2/18 and the improvement in my strength, flexibility and stamina has been amazing. I am doing things I never thought I could do. My overall health, both emotional and physical has improved. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable, encouraging and supportive. Exercises are scaled to a person's ability and there is great emphasis on NOT getting hurt. I joined Crossfit SAC about 3 months ago after my old gym closed. I could not be happier. If you are looking for challenging, fun, safe and friendly workouts, this is your place! CrossFit SAC has been one my best experiences at a crossfit establishment. I unfortunately had to cancel because of limitations of my personal schedule; however, I still want to provide a review for newcomers. This is my personal experience with staff:They have passionate instructors that fully explain not only the workout of the day, but the warm up as well.  They were attentive and frequently checked up on me and my form. I learned not only new exercises, but I learned how to do existing ones properly, even so much as running (yes there is a specific technique for running and it helped with shin splints), so even if you consider your level advanced, they have alternatives to make you an all-around better athlete. The instructors had proper technical skills (safety first) and positive up lifting attitudes that not only made me feel welcome, but part of the exiting group.  Therefore, I rated 5 stars, great instruction and costumer service. I've been a member of CF SAC for four years. The gym is very spacious and clean. There is ample equipment and membership prices are commensurate to other gyms in the area. Our coaches and assistant coaches, Amy, Calvin, Dave, and Laura, prioritize safety and good form. The owners of the gym are always looking for new ways to grow and improve. There are plenty of community activities and extra classes available for those who are interested. This is not a competitive gym (meaning there are no special classes for the fire-breathers who can do Fran in 1:25) and people of all levels of fitness tend to thrive here. More...

What can I say about Crossfit Sac? A better question would be what I can’t say about it. I’ve been coming to Crossfit Sac on and off for the last 2 years, in that time I have had 3 foot surgeries two of which I couldn’t even walk for 6-8 weeks and the last one was just 4 weeks ago. I was able to return to workouts the 2nd week. The coaches at Crossfit Sac are amazing, very knowledgeable and can make every persons workout custom to them and scaled perfectly. I was hesitant to return after the first surgery, I felt that I would hold back the class, the other athletes, and the coaches but this was not the case. The support that I received from everyone here was amazing. I feel like everyone here is family. I’m so very happy to be a part of this group. Come out, give it a try, do your best and enjoy. Crossfit Sac is a magical place... the trainers are excellent and the box is a great facility for crossfit. Every year during the Crossfit Open we have a wonderful time competing against each other with the Crossfit Games open inter-mural. This year, You might see a wizard from hogweights flying through a wod like there on A broom, or a member of the Hunger gains volunteering to Dave Castro as tribute. Members of flex appeal praying to chuck Norris as the clock counts down from 10. And if your lucky enough you could even witness the fitness of the buns and guns crew... to sum it up... crossfit Sac is more then just a fitness club. We are a family.... More...

CrossFit Sac is the best. The coaches demonstrate how to do the different movements at the beginning of each WOD. During the WOD they watch the athletes to see if anyone is struggling or using improper technique. If so, the coaches may need to scale the movement as necessary and/or explain how to correct their form. There is a wide range of the athletes ages and all are made to feel welcome. I’ve been attending CrossFit SAC for the last 5 years and can’t imagine attending another gym. The community is very friendly and very welcoming to new members, while the coaches are extremely knowledgeable in areas of fitness and nutrition. The most important thing though, is how much emphasis is placed on athlete safety. The coaches make sure to provide safe, but challenging, scaling options to athletes of all skill levels. I had been going to a different CrossFit gym for almost two years and had been craving better coaching for awhile. After trying out a few other boxes in the area and realizing they were all pretty much the same, I almost gave up. I told an experienced CrossFitter, whose opinion I trust, what I was looking for and she suggested I go try CrossFit SAC, she got her L1 certificate there and said the owner Dave Eubanks is really smart.

So, the next morning (March 2, 2016) I went to the 6:00am. It was a heavy 3x front squat day with Coach Calvin. He was the first coach in a long time to notice problems with my form and I was so excited that I almost cried. I spent about an hour after class talking with him and told him that was the best coaching I’ve ever had, to which he replied, “Oh God, I hope you’re kidding.” I’ve been going to CrossFit SAC ever since. This is the place to be if you’re a CrossFit veteran who wants to improve your technique or if you’re brand new and want to learn how to do things the correct way from the start. I’ve been to a lot of boxes in the last four years and I never understand why people go anywhere else.

I have been at Crossfit Sac for a long time, but I have also had the experience of being a member at other Crossfit boxes. They all paled in comparison to the coaching and training I receive at Crossfit Sac. This gym prides itself in maintaining an appropriate balance of safety, efficiency, and efficacy through their coaching and programming. Crossfit Sac is "the" place to go for the most amazing coaching staff with a breadth and depth of knowledge that surpasses any gym or box around! I have never encountered a group of coaches that care so much about each individual's progress and goals as much as Amy, Dave, Calvin, Laura, Monique and Chad. They have the perfect balance of encouragement and the edge to push each athlete beyond their comfort zone in a safe way! I joined Crossfit Sac at the end of December 2017. Having never done crossfit before, I had no idea what to expect, but I certainly got way more than I ever imagined. First, the "on-ramp" sessions were the perfect introduction to many of the basic movements. Apparently not all crossfit gyms offer this but I found it incredibly beneficial to getting started. Moving into my first group workout was nerve wracking, but that nervousness didn't last long. The community at Crossfit Sac is warm, welcoming, caring and encouraging. No egos, no judgment. They celebrate every accomplishment with you. They cheer and encourage and are happy to share tips and advice. And our coaches, I can't say enough good things about them. They know exactly how to scale a workout so I feel comfortable executing the movements but still get an amazing workout. They always know exactly how far to push me beyond my own perceived limitations and always correct my form or give me the thumbs up before I even have time to wonder if I'm doing it right. They begin every workout with ample instructions and I feel completely safe and confident with every workout. Since joining Crossfit Sac, I actually look forward to working out and am already on my way to being in the best shape of my life. Crossfit Sac is an amazing community made up of a diverse group of people ranging in all ages and athletic ability. I was very intimidated by the idea of crossfit until I finally stepped into the gym, and I found that the coaches are very knowledgeable and can safely scale any workout to be appropriate for any fitness level or limitations an athlete may have. While the classes are group classes, the coaches really get to know you as an individual and provide a lot of one-on-one coaching. I cannot say enough about this box. The athletes and the coaches who make up this community are supportive of everyone who walks through the door, and there is nowhere I would rather do crossfit. More...

I started here 6 years ago but had to switch gyms after 8 months due to switching employers. I couldn't be happier now that I'm back! I missed the attention to detail, the focus on technique, the great coaching, the level of commitment from the coaches, and most importantly (at least for me), the focus on things outside of "fitness". The coaches know how important nutrition is, and offer help to those of us who need it. They offer guidance on how to get better sleep and on how to achieve your goals outside the gym. I have been a member of CrossFit Sac since August of 2017. I came to this gym after a recommendation from one of the members and after participating in a community workout. Coming to this gym I was very familiar with conventional gyms and working out, however I was very unfamiliar with CrossFit. Once I became a member, I was immediately welcomed with open arms and the coaches were quick to offer any assistance and tips they could. The transition from a conventional gym to a CrossFit gym went very smooth because of the excellent coaches CrossFit Sac has. The coaching staff is excellent, and it is obvious they truly care about each and every member’s fitness goals. The gym is clean and organized and there is ample equipment for all. They offer numerous class sessions to accommodate everyone’s busy schedule. The workouts are always intense and leave you feeling satisfied that you got a good workout in. CrossFit Sac is excellent. I had no experience with the things I do there except for running. The coaches teach how to do the various movements and then watch to see that I am doing them properly. If something is beyond my abilities then the movement is scaled so that I am able to benefit from the WOD and at the same time gain strength and mobility in order to achieve the goal of doing the movement as prescribed. The community is welcoming to everyone no matter what their age is. If you want to get a good workout and make strides in getting stronger and increasing your mobility then I recommend CrossFit Sac. My kids attend their teen program. Their coaching staff are just the kind of people you want around your kids because they are so encouraging and challenging at the same time! My kids felt accomplished and truly enjoyed attending. Management is also flexible when your teens have other obligations that may momentarily interfere with attending classes. CrossFit has never been more welcoming or accessible to everyone. This gym is one of the best Sacramento has to offer. The coaches are all at the top of their field and make sure every athlete feels comfortable, confident, and safe. The community of members is amazing. If you have ever thought about checking out CrossFit, this is the place to do go. If you've ever tried to go it on our own, it's worth it to check this place out. As someone who never could work out consistently on their own, this place has kept me coming back day after day for five years!

There are many CrossFit gyms that seem intimidating, catering to the only the fittest athletes, but at CrossFit SAC their priority is making everyone fitter, no matter where you start.

I have been a member at CrossFit SAC since December of 2014. I won a free month membership after going to the Winter formal with Nicole as a date. I literally had no idea what I was in for when I started CrossFit, but I gave it a try. I always admired the different programming that comes with Crossfit. Not everyday is the same, and it keeps things interesting. Over the years I have been pushed to do things that I couldn't think I could do. I can't see myself going to a regular gym like a 24 Hour or Planet Fitness. I have been to several boxes since doing Crossfit( 2 to be exact thank you very much) and the coaching at CrossFit SAC is probably the best you're going to find. Nutrition really is the foundation of any fitness program. We remind all our athletes that they cannot out-train a bad diet. Eating well will not only help you feel better (and look better) but it help you optimize your results in the gym and in your sport.

We understand that everyone has their own goals and needs one size does not fit all. We discuss more than just working out but also focus on goal setting and nutrition.

Services

Work one-on-one with a trainer to improve your general fitness or to train for a specific sport. We offer 30 min and 1 hr training session packages.

Our group classes are all about having fun while getting fit in a welcoming environment. Classes are 1 hour long and are coached from beginning to end; no more have to figure out what you are going to do at the gym. Show up and we will take care of the rest!

We strongly believe you cannot out-train a bad diet. Whether your goal is weight loss or to improve performance, our nutritionist will help you make the best choices for your goals.
