Austin is a great coach. Definitely is easy to work with and flexible with scheduling. Moreover, he is also willing to thoroughly explain and assist with lifting movements to those he teaches.

Great gym with amazing staff! I was new to CrossFit and the coaches here take the time to train you and truly care about your progress. The facility is HUGE and the equipment is top notch. My strength and form have improved significantly. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to get fit and have fun doing it! More...

If you never work out - read this review. Almost 10 months ago, my sister dragged me to our first crossfit class. Having done “boot camp” like classes before, I was dreading it. In past experience I’ve been thrown into a fast paced class doing things far beyond my skill level and waking up the next day unable to move. I have never been an athletic person. Ever. Crossfit Kilo2 was unlike anything I’ve done before. You start out with a week of learning the basics. When you’re ready to start classes, everything is highly modified to your skill level. The coaches are friendly and knowledgeable and a great resource for kick starting an overall healthier lifestyle both fitness and nutrition wise. For the first time in my life, I am regularly working out. I even miss it when I have to skip a few classes, which is absurd to me. Me, of all people, being upset over missing a workout?! If you never workout and you’re looking to start, try crossfit. I promise it’s way less intimidating than it seems. More...

If you're thinking about joining... this is your sign. Do it!I joined a little over 5 months ago and had very little experience with a barbell. I came in wanting to get into the best shape of my life and thinking CrossFit was the hardest thing I could do. It's definitely challenging, but it's not impossible! The foundations program really helped me ease into CrossFit without being intimidated (I had no idea CrossFit had its own vocabulary!).I think what makes CrossFit Kilo so great is the atmosphere. The coaches are amazing at their jobs, always positive, and really care about you as an athlete and as a person. Same with the other athletes! Every workout always ends with high fives and fist bumps, even if you may have never been in a class with them before. Also, the sweat & stretch class is one of my favorite things ever! Tauni is amazing and I always look forward to her mobility exercises every week More...

I'll admit that I was a crossfit hater when I saw that video of Chris Spealler doing 100 butterfly pull-ups years ago. Last year, I joined this gym with the recommendation of my co-workers and it completely changed my mind on crossfit. If you're in the same boat, I suggest you give it a chance. It's the same idea as swimming freestyle vs butterfly. Same goal, but different movements.

If you're worried about not having any experience, I had zero experience doing Olympic lifts when I started. I was also hesitant to do such dynamic movements because I've had back pain for years. The coaches (Austin, Luke (best music), Streat, Chase, Mac, Dylan, Meredith, and Rachel) are extremely knowledge and high-level athletes; with their instruction, I've learned to do the movements without any injuries.

It's been about 10 months in and I am the fittest I've ever been. The community is amazing and help push you to reach your goals. In terms of other crossfit gyms around, I've traveled around and Kilo's membership is the cheapest I've ever seen for crossfit gym and it's basically always open. It is truly an unbeatable value for the level of coaching, community and equipment.

After three years of no physical activity, I decided to start back with Crossfit at Kilo II. I do not regret anything about starting at Kilo II. Austin has been a great coach. He and his staff have provided the support and corrections to help improve my technique. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a fresh start. More...

I highly recommend and enjoy CrossFit Kilo 2. It's located just a few blocks from campus/downtown so the location is perfect for both students and professionals. The equipment, guidance, and welcoming atmosphere make it the best CrossFit gym I have belonged to. In addition to the scheduled classes, there is an open gym policy so you can workout in between class times if need be. More...

After leaving other gyms feeling unwelcome as an older athlete, I tried CrossFit Kilo II on the advise of an even older athlete. She was completely right, it is a great gym, both for the attention to technique and the welcoming environment established by Austin and many of the young people who work out there. The trainers are knowledgeable about modifying the elements for older or novice Crossfit athletes while challenging you to rethink what you think you can do. More...

I had been on the fence about joining CrossFit for a while and couldn't pull the trigger with the other gyms in the area due to their locations and hours. Then out of chance I came across CrossFit kilo II around it's second or third month of being opened. It's location is very convenient, and the number of classes offered throughout the day make it easy to fit into almost any schedule. The coaching Austin offers is great, he's always willing to take time to watch you perform a movement and tell you exactly what little tweaks you need to make in order to clean up your technique.

While workouts will challenge you physically and mentally, the programming can be scaled to any fitness level and ability and the coaching will always push you hard in a supportive way that is designed to make you better while still being in a safety first mentality.

3 months ago I finally decided to jump into this whole cross fit thing, and I am so glad that I did. After having my son 2 1/2 years ago I was really stuck with my fitness. I have always been active but I was very intimidated to try something new. A friend of mine finally talked me in to trying it with her, I quickly realized that this gym was so accepting and nonjudgmental about you and your fitness level. The coaches and members make you feel comfortable and encourage you with every new move that you learn. I would recommend Cross Fit Kilo 2 to anybody! More...

Been working out at CK2 for a little under a year and it's far and away the best Crossfit/fitness experience I've had. Trainers are kind and smart and always aware of your level. Athletes range from total newcomers to internationally competitive Crossfit games athletes. Big focus on getting your form right before you move up in weight so don't see a lot of injuries -- people are always asking that about Crossfit so I say it up front. Also an awesome place for women to work out. There are a few great women trainers and you will never feel belittled as I think some women feel in weight rooms in other contexts. Great student deal as well. Thanks guys! More...

Super fun group of people and great instruction. Austin, the owner and head trainer, has been extremely accommodating schedule-wise and really works hard to keep the gym available, clean, and welcoming.

Update:
I've been "Kilo trained" for about a year now, and I still love this gym. The programing works. For example: I had been working out for about a year somewhere else when I first joined Kilo II. At that time I had a really tough time completing the CrossFit benchmark workout "Grace" even after scaling it. Now, after 1 year at Kilo II with Armand's programming and all the great coaching from, Austin, Luke, Streat, etc., I just completed "Grace" at the Rx weight in ~4 minutes! But that's not all, after that we did 30x135lb lunges and 30 wallballs! (MARCH 27, 2018) Sure it sucked, but a year ago I would have baulked at the idea. The coaches and community are still great, of course.

Just dropped in for a class. I'm from out of town and drop in all over the country. This is, hands down, one of the best experiences I've had. Every person at the gym was friendly and welcoming. The coaching was encouraging and stern as it ought to be and I'll definitely be dropping in when I'm in town. If you live locally you are lucky to have a gym like this to go to.
