Signed up Jan 2019 after training for years on my own and looking for something else to keep me interested in excercise. After some research found cfb was just around the corner and had been on the fence for some time about crossfit so decided to give it a go and have never looked back since. From the first fundamentals 1 on 1 class with Frenchi to make sure that you movement and form is right so don't hurt yourself once reach the classes (mine wasn't either a few bad habits picked up over the years) everyrhing was pointed out and ways to correct the imbalances were put to me. Once attended the first full wod with new school nerves I never looked back I was hooked. Yes it can be frustrating, yes it is hard and yes it's very very sweaty. But that said what in life is worth having if it comes easy. 6 months or so in and I am still learning still developing and still getting stronger and challenging myself in ways never thought would at start of the year. The coach is amazing and everything is done to get the best out of you but safely (he sees everything to so no cheat reps ) there is a real community with everyone that goes there and been made to feel welcome and part of that group from day one could not recommend cfb any more than I do for anyone looking for a new challenge or even just start g out on their journey Into fitness. CrossFit Bury is a fantastic place to train. As a personal trainer myself, I wanted to be able to go somewhere where I could learn new skills (olympic lifting), not have to think about the programming (I love that someone else has planned the session for me) and be coached and motivated. This great box provides all of this plus an amazing community atmosphere where everyone looks after each other and works together as a team. Sometimes people perceive CrossFit as something which is for people who are already 'fit' or 'strong' or that it's really hard. It's certainly challenging but Frenchie ensures the workout is the right level of challenge for everyone no matter what his/her starting ability. I’ve been going to CrossFit Bury for over 2 years now and and I’ve never stuck with a sport for that amount of time before. It just goes to show that the constantly evolving workouts keep you interested in remaining fit and healthy. There are all different levels of fitness at the box and everyone supports one another due to the family type environment the box owners encourage. I’ve learnt so much about fitness and weightlifting techniques, more importantly correct form! Definitely worth giving a go!!! More...

I've tried many different gyms and classes but never anything like crossfit, I was so scared at first but even after the first week I was hooked! Frenchie is patient and super helpful. I've never seen as quick results before! My strength and fitness is the best that it's ever been and I'm looking forward to improvements!
The classes are varied and so enjoyable you never know what your going to be doing but it's always such a good workout and you feel great after it. I've also meet some lovely people who all just support each other, it's a always really positive environment to train, I'd deffiantly recomend crossfit Bury to anyone.

When I moved to CrossFit Bury from my last box I was worried I wouldn't enjoy it as much as my last one and that I had left all my friends behind. I was so wrong, not only have I made great new friends I also enjoy going to this box even more and hardly miss a session now as I'm so excited about going to each one. I have been able to push myself further than I thought I could through Frenchie's excellent training programme. I'm not sure how he puts up with my negative vibes and moaning about not been able to do something but he proves me wrong every time by getting me to push past it. It's a great atmosphere and no matter what your ability no one judges and everyone is willing to help and cheer you on. More...

This is more than a fitness class... the support provided from the coach and Class members is amazing- somehow you are able to get through the most challenging of exercises despite how difficult they may feel and you always feel a sense of achievement.
You are not just a number and Frenchi ensures that he focuses on every single member.
I only signed up for 3 months however I am beginning to wish I had signed up for the year.

So glad i found this little box that has the biggest heart. I needed a box to go to while i was home for a few weeks. Crossfit Bury welcomed me in and i enjoyed every minute (Even the push presses and overhead squats).

After my first month at Bury CrossFit I thought it was time for a fresh review. The level of detail and programming of each session is second to none. The focus on technique, correct range of motion and that balance of strength and fitness leaves you walking away with a renewed sense of energy. Yes the session's are challenging, yes they are hard, but you have a dedicated coached constantly by your side, offering support, encouragement and applying a keen eye of detail with the way you perform.

In my first month I've seen an increase with my muscular endurance, an increase in my cardiovascular fitness, adding muscle mass and a reduction in body fat. For £65 per month CrossFit Bury is an absolute bargain.

I joined CrossFit Bury in April 2017. I am now the fittest I have ever been and I considered myself to be fit when I joined! Frenchi is a fantastic coach, the programme is really challenging and gets results. I have competed on a few occasions, this wasn’t something I was expecting to get into but the encouragement from Frenchi and the troops has given me the confidence to do this. Cross fit Bury is such an amazing place to find your fitness. Been coming about 6 weeks now and I love it, my 9 year old son does too! If you want to find something new to challenge you, this is it. I honestly couldn't recommend it more, and the community is such a welcoming environment. I came with a back injury from another fitness class and Coach gave me such confidence in his knowledge and ability that I wasn't worried about injury here, there is such care taken to be sure that we are doing things right and such an education is given in each class. I leave every time feeling like I can take anything on after a WOD when I was certain I wouldn't be able to do it . You can't beat that feeling. There is no "I can't" in the box. Aimee and Frenchi are bringing something very special to us all local to Bury. Get in there. You're missing something special if you don't! Luke & I started CrossFit after watching "Fittest on Earth" (Sara Sigmundsdottir tho ���)

I almost backed out when we arrived for our free taster session... All I could hear was loud music and shouting and I literally said to Luke "I can't do it. You go in - I'll wait for you in the car" ���

I'm so glad Luke dragged me in! Frenchie & Aimee are just great, everyone is so supportive and the atmosphere isn't intimidating at all. Even for those of us who are about as strong as a lettuce leaf �� All ages, abilities, sizes, fitness levels are catered for. You just do you and you'll be so surprised how you progress & things get easier ��

Luke & I make an hour round trip to work out - if that doesn't say it all I don't what! We could go to a gym locally but it just wouldn't be the same. I've never stuck to the gym before and I've finally found something that I enjoy even though I'm a puddle at the end of every session ��

If you want to try something new, have never enjoyed the gym, or are really scared / embarrassed to get started (like I was �) Just give it a go. You have absolutely nothing to lose & perhaps a lot to gain ���

I started at crossfit Bury in June. Frenchi is very good at teaching you the different types of lifts.He is great at pushing you to your limits.I feel like my strength is improving already and my confidence is growing too.The people are amazing too, so friendly and welcoming.I started with 1/2 sessions a week but have now committed to 3 days a week. I joined Crossfit Bury in November 2017. I wanted something that would challenge me but also fit into my busy schedule. Crossfit Bury ticked all of those boxes and more!
Everyone has been so welcoming and I feel like a real part of the gym and it’s not even been 3 months.
I can see the changes in my body already and my form has improved beyond what I thought was possible thanks to Frenchie!
I have even taken part in my first competition and it’s given me a real taste for what I am capable of!
Definitely give this place a go! You won’t regret it!!

I joined crossfit in July 2017 looking for something to get stuck into. After half heartedly attending well known gym chains. The small group sessions appealed to me at first as I knew I’d need a lot of help. Walking into My 6am taster I was nervous as hell, but the minute I walked in I was welcomed with open arms.
Crossfit is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever thrown myself into, but it is also the most addictive and fun, in a supportive environment.
It feels like you are doing something different each day and you see your strength develop week on week.
Our coach provides amazing support and creates a fun but safe environment. Form is King!
As it’s small group sessions, you get to know the people in your group and everyone is really friendly. It really is a community.

I joined CrossFit Bury late last August after wanting to improve my overall fitness and learn some new skills which I felt I wasn’t able to achieve on my own at a normal gym. From the very first session everyone was SO welcoming and kept motivating me through my first WOD right until the end! The support and encouragement you get from Frenchi and Aimee and everyone else in the sessions is fantastic and my body is now doing things I never through I’d be capable of! Even the thought of holding a barbell a few years ago seemed like such a foreign thing! Since starting CrossFit I’ve become so much stronger physically and mentally whilst also getting to enjoy being part of a community of people who are super passionate about what they do. The small sessions at CrossFit Bury mean you are continually given guidance throughout. Frenchi constantly challenges us to give even more and push ourselves further whilst also making sure to scale movements or adapt WODs to keep us safe and build confidence. I joined CrossFit Bury in April this year after many failed attempts at going to gyms as you feel very much on your own and no real motivation. However since joining CrossFit Bury I have never felt more welcome , motivated and determined, with the added bonus of being made to feel like part of this fab group of people. I am by no means anywhere near peak fitness (hence trying to get fit) but in the couple of months I have been going here, the improvements I have seen in myself have been fab. The coaching by Frenchie is amazing, as he is able to understand the level you are at and work with you to scale the workout to your level, but at the same time give you the encouragement to push yourself to the next level. So as crazy as it may seem that give everything you have in the sessions till you can’t give any more , minutes later I am then already looking forward to the next session. More...

I decided to join CrossFit Bury to keep my fitness levels up outside of hockey season as I was struggling to find motivation and come up with workouts at my standard gym. I've always considered myself one of the less fit players on the hockey team however following a recent fitness test in prep for preseason I finished TOP 3 in all areas (agility, sprints and jump- force/ power output), with my 0-10 meter sprint and jump scores achieving within the bracket of the UK National hockey team data. I was amazed! The comments from our fitness coach were 'you have no particular area of weakness, keep doing what you're doing'! - all I'm doing is CrossFit!

Since starting my CrossFit journey 3 months ago my weight has stayed with a lb or 2 which was really frustrating at first especially as I got 'happy fat' after getting married last August. However when I compared photos I took of myself in March to photos taken at the beginning of June my body shape has completely changed, I look slimmer, am more toned, have smoother curves, my bums had a lift and I'm getting definition. I have also learnt a lot of new things and have a new found confidence to really push myself.

At CrossFit Bury the workouts are set so you don't have to think, the group is small so you get 121 time with the coach, the atmosphere is great, the camaraderie gets you through every workout and the feeling of achievement keeps you going back.
I'd recommend becoming part of the CrossFit Bury team to anyone at any level of fitness- there is no judgement- only motivation and support, everyone is at different levels and you're only competing against yourself.

Amazing box full of great people who support and encourage you every step of the way. The coaching standard is first class Frenchi knows his stuff and is constantly monitoring you to ensure you keep good form and use correct technique. Class sizes are kept to a maximum of 8 meaning it’s more like personal training but without the cost. I’ve got to say after just over a year at Crossfit Bury I’m the fittest and strongest I’ve ever been and I’m loving how my body looks.

I joined Crossfit Bury after my free taster session. The first session was hard but so enjoyable. I have joined a gym and been to classes in the past but have always given up after a few weeks because I felt like I was going it alone. It's the total opposite at Crossfit Bury. Firstly, it is VERY different to anything I have done before but that's what keeps it interesting and enjoyable for me. I laugh to myself when I lifting weights. Secondly, I am not alone. Everyone is at different levels, everyone is learning all the time and you feel part of a team. I am still going aswell - I will not give up and it's so good that I don't feel like giving up. I would highly recommend it to anyone. It's fun and gets you fit. It helps that the owners are great too! More...
