Deb is absolutely incredible and just with one session alone, I can finally see things clearer than I did before.

Counselling

After realising that I was unhappy with a few things in my life that were affecting my mental health and anger management, I went on line to see if I could find a recommended person to help me. I found Croft Therapy on the Bark platform.

I have been meeting with Deb at Croft therapy for the last 3 months. This is the first time I have used the services of a Counsellor / Psychotherapist and I was incredibly impressed with her professionalism and skill in helping me get back on track so quickly.

I found Deb incredibly easy to talk to. She is warm and welcoming and I felt she really listened to me. She very quickly identified a few issue that I needed to pay more attention to and confront head on. She introduced new techniques and methods to me that really helped me re programme my reactions to certain situations and regain control of my emotions.

After a series of meetings I started to feel significantly better about myself and the issues that had affected my relationship with my business partners, and more importantly my wife and children.

I have now stopped seeing Deb as she has categorically been the difference in changing my mindset and attitude towards things. I will always revert back to her if I need to and I must say it provides comfort knowing she is only a text or call away if I need to speak to her again for any reason.

I would recommend Deb at Croft Therapy to anyone who needs a bit of support in getting themselves back to their best! She is great :-)

I feel very lucky to have found Deb through the Bark website when I did. I honestly couldn’t find a way to lift my mood and felt trapped, doubting that anyone could make a difference to the way I saw things. Deb is great at opening eyes to new ways of thinking and after just 6 sessions I look at things in a much more positive way. I will keep seeing Deb every so often when I need a boost but she has set me up well to know how to deal with a lot of things I used to struggle with. I cannot thank her enough. More...

I went along at my wits end and very nervous about trying to get to the bottom of what was wrong. I could not stop eating and weight was piling on yet, I wanted to be slim, wanted to eat less. Debbie very calmly and quickly had me trusting her to talk about things I found upsetting and have not said to other people. That felt good. We worked on many things and Debbie gave me strategies that I could take away and use - and use them I have to great effect. Without Debbie I would not have been able to deal with everything and move myself forward from where I have been stuck for years. I am more 'mindful', take time to draw breath and think about my actions. A lovely lady who I was very comfortable to be with and so glad to have found to help me. More...

I was impressed with how quickly Debbie understood the problems I was having and how quickly she worked out how to resolve them. She helped me with a number of issues such as how to deal with unexpected loud noises and crowded places. I am now able to get back to a normal life, and it feels fantastic...thanks Debbie. More...

I was recommended to Debbie via a friend. Debbie helped me tremendously during my acrimonious divorce that affected myself and both of my children. She has a gentle and reassuring way about her and communicates at all levels. When you spend time with Debbie you come away feeling motivated and feel that you have the strength to carry on. I do not feel I could have continued my battle without her on-going support. More...

Debbie is a remarkable therapist. She put me at ease from the moment I met her and she completely understood how to find the causes of my issues. 3 years of anxiety just melted away each time I saw her. In only 5 sessions I felt like a new me! More...

Q&As

Quite simply, it's seeing clients walk out of my door feeling so much better than when they arrived. Helping someone reach the point where they no longer need me, because they've found their old self, their true strength, and a new confidence.

The convenience of living so close to a town centre! My previous home was too remote to run a private practice from, so I was much more restricted in how I worked. The location I now have is discreet and quiet, and easy for clients to get to.

In short - what I offer is much more than just the classic talking therapy counselling services, so clients experiences the changes they're looking for much sooner. Most people are amazed how few sessions they need compared to what they'd expected.
My charges might seem a little high compared to many counsellors, but with my approach to therapy clients need fewer sessions - so the overall cost is considerably less than they might expect.
Having trained in a number of therapeutic disciplines I have a good range of options of how to best work with every individual. Rather than follow one specific methodology I can be really flexible in terms of how to help people explore and understand the issues they have identified. We can get to work quickly and see helpful differences quickly.
All clients are individual, so I believe it's important to have individually appropriate and effective ways of working with each and every person.
