Cris from the first meeting we knew we had the photographer for us. His style is spectacular and we felt completely secure in his hands and knew the end results would be outstanding. He was so friendly, relaxed but also capture our vision for our pre shoot and our wedding during our meetings and conversations. We have recently received our beautiful wedding photos back and are completely blown away. Cris was a huge part of our day making both myself and now husband so calm and comfortable which helped us enjoy our day more. Sorry this has taken so long to write - My Daughter Kirsty Mallinson-Gethings and her then husband to be booked a consultation with Cris and dragged me along as i was paying. Cris was so easy going and friendly during the consultation, he put us all at ease and made us all feel very welcome. He showed us his portfolio, which was amazing, and we all loved his documentary style of photography. We didn't want boring, stuffy posed photographs. We wanted relaxed and informal which is exactly what we got. We wanted the guests to be relaxed and have a great day and not be herded round like cattle to have millions of group photographs. Cris captured the day beautifully and looking at the photographs makes you relive the day over and over again. We can't praise Cris enough for making the day even more special than it already was. Cris seemed to be everywhere, but not in the way. He was like a little stealth ninja just popping up out of nowhere, i kept thinking he was a guest !!! We had the delight of choosing Cris to be the photographer at our wedding last weekend. From the first time we contacted him until the post-wedding emails, he was the most approachable, engaging and creative photographer we've ever had the pleasure to meet. We're not based locally but he still took the time to get to know us by phone and email, and he did a lot to reassure us on the day and make sure we were happy with the photos he was taking. He was very patient when our families requested lots of ad-hoc photos and he even gave them a photo from the day to take away, which was an instant hit! Cris is an absolutley incredible photographer. Couldn't have wished for better wedding photos. They've given us so much happiness for now and years to come. We have been blown away at just how amazing the shots are!! Picking a wedding photographer is daunting, the industry is saturated with photographers who all have the same style photos for every wedding. Not cris, he gives unique photos that will reduce you to tears. He captures moments like no one else can with his style. Cris is extremely down to earth and an all round nice guy. The way he blended in with wedding guests to get the snapshots he did is mind blowing. We booked Cris to shoot our wedding in France, and he did a fantastic job! Sending out a questionnaire, to understand what we wanted. Arriving a day early, to look around the venue to plan the shots. Cris took some amazing pictures, with the guests barely noticing he was there, everything felt so natural and unobstructed. After the wedding he kept us updated with when the pictures would be available and, while we were waiting, sent us a montage, story boarding the day. Cris is Awesome! We had such an amazing day and really felt Cris & co went above and beyond made our photos feel easy. He even drove some of our guests back from our venue ��! Our pics are beautiful. We chose Cris after meeting with a few photographers, and knew instantly that he was the one we were going to pick - he's so friendly and down to earth, and really put us at ease (considering that we really don't do photos! ). Cris photographed our wedding yesterday. I can honesty say that I've not met somebody so lovely for a very long time. Everybody commented on how lovely he was. Cris was a real pleasure to be around. After seeing a friends amazing wedding photos we got in touch with Cris. And we are very glad we did. He made us feel more calm and relaxed about having photos done as I'm not the biggest fan but obviously wanted some to remember our special day. So when it came to having photos I was a bit of a bridezilla. Cris managed to get so many natural pictures and listened to everything we discussed before our big day. He even turned up in super hero socks like the groom and best men which made us all laugh. When it came to choosing our pictures for the album it was so hard because they were all lovely and a great mixture of our day and our guests. Cris is absolutely brilliant, my new wife and I couldn't be happier with his photographs or his professionalism and just generally him being a really nice guy.

Our initial meetings with him were really smooth, uncomplicated and he took genuine interest in what we wanted and answered all our questions.

His photos are the sort of casual/informal shots we wanted which really captured the day. Looking through them now it really brings out the feel of the day and lots of memories, more than we feel a lot of staged photos would.

On the day itself he was extremely professional and unobtrusive. There are so many shots we didn't even realise he was taking, he is basically a photographic ninja, but then always on hand if you need him and will lend a hand where he can. He is really adaptable as well and took all timing changes and random requests in his stride.

We absolutely couldn't recommend him more.

Cris was brilliantly organised and communicated quickly both before, during and after the wedding. His friendly attitude and relaxed style of photography, where he took few posed shots and preferred to spend more time mingling amongst the guests, was exactly what we wanted and led to us having a set of amazing photographs. His pictures perfectly captured the day, from bridal preparation right through to the first dance. Additionally, it helped that he has worked before with our videographer (Laura, at Vision Wave) and so the 2 of them combined to excellent affect. My son Ant and Jodie had chose their wedding photographer, Cris Lowis! Wow! What a fab job he did! This morning I was invited to my son's to take a look at the many photos that Cris had taken. Yes there we many traditional photos, bride and groom, bride and her family, groom and his family etc etc but then there were the bulk of them!....lots of natural shots, catching lots of the wedding party without them knowing, I know he caught me when I didn't know about it! And they are just fab!
Will not hesitate in recommending Cris to anyone to be their photographer and help capture all of the moments of a special day!

We used Cris for our Wedding in March. Right from the 1st email to the wedding day, Cris was super relaxed and we felt instantly at ease, as neither myself or my husband like posing for photos. We had all four seasons in one day, which was no problem for Cris at all! I don't think anyone was prepared for all the drastic weather changes; yet Cris fabulously captured our day. We absolutely love our wedding pictures. They capture the joy, love and happiness of the day so perfectly. We didn't want to be spending ages posing for photos on our wedding day, we wanted to be chatting to everyone and enjoying ourselves. Cris's style was perfect for us as we had a few key group shots and posed shots of us but the rest captured those little moments that you didn't see and that are so lovely to look back on. He was very professional, easy to chat to and half the time we didn't notice he was there. On the day he went above and beyond, staying for a firework display which we had later in the evening. The result was some truly amazing pictures.

Cris turned the photos around in record time and gave us a slide show to music a few days before the gallery was ready which made us so excited to see the rest!

Jamie and I got married on the 27th May 2018 at Sandon Hall and we chose Cris for our photography, we are so glad we did! The moment we met Cris we knew he would be the perfect choice for us ! His documentary style photography suited our wedding so well and he had captured so many beautiful moments from our special day! Cris is a really friendly and relaxed wedding photographer. We knew from first meeting him that his style would be perfect for us. We enjoyed our pre wedding shoot and it definitely made us relaxed about having photos taken before the big day. When we got the pre wedding shoot photos back we were amazed at how many great photos Cris got in half an hour and were then so excited about our wedding day photos!

On the day Cris was great to be around and blended into the background so wedding guests hardly knew he was there. This meant that he captured some amazing natural shots that show the emotion of the day as well as all the fun and laughter we had! Cris went above and beyond for us, staying a lot later than planned after our first dance to ensure we could get some fabulous shots at dusk which have turned out really well. Please don’t hesitate and just book Cris (if you’re lucky enough for him to be available on your day), he is amazing!

Can’t wait to create our album, it’s going to be impossible to choose our favourite photos!

I could not recommend Cris enough!! I had him both for my own wedding on 3rd November last year and recommended him to a friend who’s wedding he photographed yesterday (1st October).

He has such a calm and friendly manner that he instantly puts you at ease.

Cris took the photographs for our wedding at the start of the month.

It was the photos that I was most nervous about - they’re the thing that you take away from your day to remind you of all the little things.

My other half struggles with posed photos and I really liked that Cris went for a more modern and more natural style of photography.

Cris actually did the photography for my friends wedding and it was her photos that prompted me to book him.

He has captured the day beautifully. I didn’t even realise he took half of the photos until I saw them!!

After meeting several different photographers, we decided to go with Cris for our wedding at the Moat House because of the exceptional quality of his documentary-style photographs and because he’s such a genuinely nice, relaxed guy, he instantly put us at ease. As soon as we’d booked him, we knew we’d made the right decision – he responds to emails and calls quickly and professionally, and all the information from booking through to the big day is clear and transparent. He makes helpful suggestions and answers all questions really thoroughly. On the actual wedding day Cris went above and beyond, both in terms of attention to detail in capturing spontaneous moments and being helpful and making sure everything ran smoothly – even bringing out a tissue to clean the bridesmaid’s shoes at one stage! We also thought we may need Cris and his van to tow us to our reception because of a few issues with our vintage car(!) and although it didn’t come to this in the end, we know that he would have pulled out all the stops to get us to our reception, because he’s that kind of caring, dependable person. Most of the time you don’t even realise he’s there – he manages to mingle with guests and photograph so unobtrusively, you feel completely relaxed and just able to enjoy the day. We’re over the moon with our photographs and we thought it was a particularly nice touch to receive a slideshow preview during our honeymoon! Outstanding.We hired Chris for our wedding at the Ashes in October 2017. From start to finish he was not only professional, but also very easy going and a genuinely nice guy to have at your wedding. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he is also very reasonably priced for the excellent service that he delivers. We initially met him at his office to go through a few details and to find out exactly what we wanted, we then went on a short pre wedding shoot to get used of the camera and to try out some different angles. He sent us through these pictures and we instantly knew we had the right person for the job. Very natural pictures and of utmost quality. We actually got one of them printed out for our guests to sign on the day.On the wedding day itself, he came early to where my wife was getting ready and also came into the pub where we were having a pre drink to get some natural photos. Then throughout the day he was polite, fun and you did not even notice him taking some of the natural shots. He stayed throughout the day and got a few evening shots too. We also decided to have a confetti shot, a sparkler shot and some out door night shots all of which came out brilliantly. Many of our guests have since commented on how easy going but professional our photographer was and even more so when they saw the pictures. He even did a short slide show with music which really captured the day. I would not hesitate to recommend Chris for excellent high quality natural photos which are tailored to your needs. As mentioned many times above, he is also a really good guy to have at your wedding and to mingle with your guests, nothing was too much trouble and we were not away from our guests for long for the formal photos. Cris photographed our daughter's wedding in February of this year and was truly excellent. He went above and beyond, helping out with some stuff on the day, took me to get the flowers from the florist and was all round more helpful than we had any reason to expect. He had great ideas for shots and has a grasp for this sort of photography that makes it all seem like childs play, though I know from our own wedding this is definitely not the case. The portfolio of pictures that resulted are all superb and my wife has had several printed for places at home and for relatives. Our daughter actually said she half wished for a bit of rain in the evening so as Cris could work his magic as per his previous portfolio work, alas this was not to be however the night silhouette shot across the lake is still a fantastic picture and we all could not be more pleased with Cris as a photographer. He stayed with us for the whole day. Initially we though his charges a tad high but comparison to our own wedding photographer AND the quality of work on the day AND Cris going above and beyond has shown us the error of our opinion. Cris was our life saver when our photographer for our wedding this year cancelled on us …..Fortunately Cris was available and…well we couldn't have got it any better!
On first meeting Cris he was so easy to talk to and happy to take on bored some of our own ideas for shots on the day. Prior and during our wedding he gave us little pieces of advice and tips on how to make the day go as smoothly as possible.
On the day of the wedding Cris was so professional calm and well organised it was a pleasure to have him as part of our day. He was also very creative in all of our pictures and had clearly listened to the type of shots we wanted. He also wasn’t afraid to try out some new creative shots that certainly paid off!!
He put my Husband at ease throughout the day as he isn’t a huge fan of having his picture taken.

Cris shot our wedding in October 2014 and was absolutely brilliant! When we first met with him - over a year before the big day - he was easy to talk to and understood what we wanted entirely. His communication throughout the build up to our wedding was exceptional and he was very accommodating.

Our engagement shoot was brilliant - we weren’t keen on the idea initially but I would urge anyone to do this if time should allow. He talked us through the various poses and how he would be asking us to stand on the day and was extremely patient and calming. Moreover we got some fantastic shots both us and our dogs!

Again, on the big day Cris was professional, patient and courteous. He took all the shots we requested and more and every one was perfect. The quality of the final edited images are fantastic and it’s easy to see why he has won awards!

I traveled to Cris's studio to have my very first photo shoot to build up my modelling portfolio, He made me feel very comfortable and confident. We got on great and he is very professional at what he does, He made me feel at ease through out the shoot, He gave me privacy when needed and the images were up on his website very quickly for me to view, I must say it was very hard to choose between them!
