We had a phenomenal experience with Creme de la Cocoa for our Wedding at Palencia Club this past weekend! We had dessert cups, a two-tiered cake, and macaroons. ...and they were all incredible. The presentation was beautiful, and the wedding cake, (along with the secret helicopter grooms cake I ordered,) looked fantastic! The team at Creme de la Cocoa was nothing short of amazing! For the initial phone call down to the last bite of cake, they did not disappoint. This was a destination wedding so I did not have the chance to go in and taste prior to ordering. I took a chance, ordered based on chef's recommendations and there was not a single piece of cake left! Impeccable! Creme de la cocoa did my wedding cake and dessert display table and they are the best St Augustine has to offer! Look no further. They are wonderful to work with, their shop is beautiful as well to visit and most of all they have blown us away with their presentations and quality cakes/desserts! I was a very particular bride who really wanted an elegant cake that was minimalistic, with sharp, crisp edges but without the use of any fondant and Nils and team delivered in every way! It was the best looking and best tasting cake that I’ve had and our guests seem to agree. I adore Bailey too who is always bubbly and professional who was handling the business side of planning. We got many different desserts ranging from cannolis, cookie sandwiches, three different flavors of shooters, and three different flavors of wedding cake. We used Creme de la Cocoa for our April 2019 wedding and everything about our cake was absolutely perfect! Our entire experience with Nils and his staff was extraordinary from our tasting to multiple emails about cake stands (because i'm indecisive) to how absolutely beautiful and flavorful our cake was! During our tasting, we were blown away not only by the cake flavors we tasted but all of the options Nils offered us. We had more ideas of what we didn't like than what we did like and he worked through it all with us to give us the cake of our dreams. We cannot wait for our anniversary cake and we now also stop into the bakery anytime we are in St Augustine now because all of their desserts are simply delicious. For my daughters graduation party she wanted colorful macaroons and cactus cupcakes. Lots of places said they couldn’t do it, then I walk into Creme de la Cocoa . Not only did they make our favorite flavors but in the colors we wanted . All of our guests raved about how delicious they were and how cute the cupcakes looked. If you are getting married around St. Augustine this should be the only place you go for desserts. We tried a few other local vendors and nothing else even compared. From our initial consult right to our wedding they were incredible. Our guests all raved about the desserts. This place is awesome for regular desserts and esp.Gluten free I cook alot entirely GF for over decade (allergy) and have to make everything from scratch so when I tell you it's excellent GF I know what I'm talking about. The ingredients are quality, flavors are amazing and paired beautifully and everything is labeled really clearly with a huge assortment decorated with artistry. I really wanted to love this bakery. It is beautiful for starters and smells like heaven when you walk in.They do not serve and food or drink but again, you can take your sweets to Dos across the street and enjoy it with coffee. We picked up a half dozen cookies and cookie sandwiches. They were tasty but the cookies were so soft they fell apart. The chocolate chip held up pretty well.The chocolate cheesecake was delicious but incredibly rich. I'm just not a huge cheesecake fan and this was too sweet for me. I prefer a less sweet NY style cheesecake. I wish I had tried the chocolate since that is their specialty.Overall I do not have a lot to say which is unusual. It was still worth the visit. More...

Placed an order of about 40 mini desserts, half being their incredible dessert cups and half being custom made tartlettes. This was served at a bridal shower I hosted for my best friend and safe to say everyone LOVED THEM. From start to finish this company really cares about the customer experience and as for the desserts... I’ve found nothing better in northeast Florida. Brooke, their coordinator was very helpful and made sure everything was as we desired. And their owner came over to make sure we were happy with our order when we picked it up. Creme de la Cocoa absolutely NAILED our wedding cake and mini desserts for our February 24, 2019 wedding [reception] at Treasury on the Plaza. Chef Nils made a picture-perfect reproduction of an inspiration photo of a cake we showed him at our initial consultation; a four-tiered, four-flavored beauty. Additionally, they prepared three Disney-themed mini-desserts, complete with custom tent-style name signs, that we were expecting to leave with guests at the end of the night as favors. Well, none of them lasted until the end of the night, because they were amazing. We were blown away by Creme de la Cocoa's masterful crafting and flavor profiles.
