Lovely open space, patient service, good coffee. Mostly baked goods, not a large selection, but the soup was thick and rich and the pastry crust flaky.

Ny first time in was charming! I had their breakfast sandwich (the one on the ciabatta roll), and their London Fog. The service was top notch! I even tried to get my tea to bring it back to my table, and was kindly reminded by the barista that it would be brought out to me.I'll definitely be back! More...

The food and coffee are nice, but the environment tends to be on the noisy side. The space is open and echo-y, most notably when the staff does dishes it echos throughout the large open space. Would be fine for lunch but not great for working. More...

Best cafe I've been to on the Eastside. Lots of seating, AWESOME coffee, tea and they make their own bread, muffins, breakfast snacks, sandwiches and so much more. AMAZING bakery, even better coffee. They open their shutters and have outside seating during warm days. Dog friendly. Also check out the food carts just a half a block south of them. More...

One of the best bakeries in Portland. Everything is made in house and delicious, there are great savory options along with the sweets, and the coffee is always great. The cafe has a relaxing atmosphere, and it's a great place to meet friends or hang out with a book or laptop. Service is always friendly and fast. Often cute dogs tied up outside the window while their owners get treats, which always makes my day. More...

minimal charge for 8, 12 & 16oz french press, ludicrously extensive amount of house-made pastries and breakfast/lunch meals, they *actually* serve 5oz espresso drinks and there's a current employee named Victor who is a complete and total sweetheart.

clean space, *two* gender-neutral restrooms & a generous amount of seating for the size of the room

I'm not sure if Coava (a roaster/supplier they use) just has a hard time performing light-medium roasts but I'm pretty sure Kenyan coffees shouldn't be dark-roasted. Every coffee I tried tasted like a dark roast and it was clearly not an extraction problem on the baristas' part. I'm not even going to blame Coava for the potential roast issues because the "burnt-tasting" coffees that snobs and laypeople alike still complain about these days are entirely due to the cursed "Starbucks Effect"

This is a fuhreaking great establishment to frequent if you want a meal or a treat and wireless internet. The staff is great, particularly that Victor fellow. If you dig on coffee and/or espresso sans cream/syrup, you can probably get a latte and forego snobbery for the sake of this place's good qualities.

Stopped in for much needed coffee and baked goods on my final day in Portland. The coffee hit the spot and the pistachio macarons were perfect. This is the closest I've been to finding a coffee shop and bakery that can compete with my favorite one here in Boise. The staff was wonderful as well, greeting me kindly but not being intrusive or overpowering. I had a delightful time. More...

Yum. Oh, yum!

As an Uber driver, I see a lot of places and just keep moving until enough people give a recommendation. After several encouraging stories, I stopped driving and found out it was every bit at good as I had been told.

To the baker I have picked up twice off Barbur Blvd, I hope I pick you up again so I can follow you in... mmmmmm.....

This is a popular local cafe and bakery that attracts a trendy crowd. The ambiance is what I like best with its super high ceilings, funky colors, and auto-bay styled garage doors that comprise one of the cafes walls. They are often open in summer with scents from the bakery wafting from Burnside to Stark. Their baristas are top notch and friendly and, though I've only tried the chai latte there (Arguably the best in Portland), from what I see the crema, thickened with honey, lives up to it it's name.

I love Crema. The coffee and lattes are wonderful. I really like the Caramel Sutra and Honey Vanilla lattes. They also have good drip coffee.

The pastries have never disappointed either. I’ve tried almost all of them. They have a cheddar corn biscuit that is exceptional!

They have a few food dishes as well. I’ve had the breakfast sandwich, turnover pastry (filled with potatoes and eggs and wrapped in a pastry dough), and the quiche (which has a yummy side salad). All of it is really good.

One thing to note: it’s CRAZY busy on the weekends. Usually the tables are full and there’s a good line.
