My daughter , son in law and me where hungry Saturday evening traveling from Ruston back to Baton Rouge. Looked on Yelp as we got 15 minutes from Pineville and discovered this restaurant. We got off the main highway for 2 miles and took a chance that the 4 5 stars would be worth the risk. Looking at the restaurant fro. The outside. It appeared to be similar to someone's old living/dining room. But went inside. Michelle, our server was very knowledgeable about the menu. We had the fried duck appetizer per her bv recommendation and it was amazingly good. For dinner we had the special, which was fried fish and shrimp. Came with Cole slaw, fries. And hush puppies. Went on a work trip, the staff was incredibly nice. The manager stopped and talked to us for a few minutes. We felt safe and welcomed from the moment we walked in. The place is clean and laid back. Big outdoor seating area with a stage for live music. The food was amazing. Fried boudin balls. Very meaty crab cakes, and tender fried crawfish. It's a little pricey, but totally worth it, with the great quality and quantity of food you get. I've recommended this place to my coworkers already. More...

Wow. I remember this place when it was Rockys. Then starving marvin, years ago.  Monday night special was buffalo shrimp tacos and select 2 dollar draft.  Temperatures was right, rain had set in but covered outdoor section was perfect.  Food was awesome and service was better. Excellent food, great service, and reasonably priced. One of the few good seafood restaurants in our area. Their fish is delicious despite not being what some people refer to as "real" catfish. It is still catfish and tastes much better than some fish I've had at other restaurants where the cooks have failed to remove the fat and portions of the meat end up gray colored and nasty. If you can't get past the fish issue, then get something else. They have a wide variety to choose from, including unique entrees like grilled or fried duck, and it's all delicious! More...

Atmosphere is awesome, inside dining as well as outdoor covered dining!! The crawfish etouffee with fried catfish and steamed vegetables was as close to home cooking as you gonna get! ! Cajun seasoned to perfection!! Our server Whitney was very attentive to our needs!! The food here is well cooked and the portions are large. The food doesn't have that 'old grease' taste or smell, and always is served fresh out of the grease, and steaming hot and crispy. Their iced tea is also the perfect beverage to accompany your meal with friendly waitresses keeping your drink topped off in a timely manner. (((Please remember to tip, people!!!))) I love the old time mom and pop atmosphere of the place that perfectly represents the small community of Tioga. My only complaint is how incredibly salty the food is. It seems to vary with each visit, but pervasively the taste of the food is overwhelmed by the saltiness. Fix that, and you'd easily earn 5 stars from this family! More...

I have eaten here a ton of times. Definitely one of my favorite places in town. Crawfish Mac and cheese is my favorite. Shrimp po-boys and burgers are super awesome too. Service is great, it's super clean and I love sitting on the patio. I would give them a ten star if I could. If you love boudin and bread pudding this is also your place. Great addition to Beaumont!I've been eating there at least once a week since they opened and they keep getting better and better! The other day I had the catfish and it was some of the best I have ever had - crisp crust and moist on the inside, yummy fresh hush-puppies too.   Really enjoy their outdoor dining area and the friendly service there.BTW - try the bread pudding!  I don't even like bread pudding but I tried it once and OMG awesomeness!  The syrup topping is to die for.Give them a try.I almost forgot, the fried green tomato there are great as well! When here yesterday for dinner to check it out because we seen them at the butterfly release and they served crawfish Mac n cheese that was incredibly awesome!  This place has and awesome atmosphere outside! I didn't go upstairs but it looks like they had more places to enjoy! I really liked the outside of this place. Had TVs a huge fireplace looked like a stage for live bands and a bar!  Their menu selection was simple to which was fine for me. Appetizers, salads, Gumbo was expensive for a cup and was ok. Seafood, burgers, and steaks!  I got Seafood gumbo and crawfish Mac n cheese which I thought was worth the price. But the Gumbo was expensive for a cup. The waitress was nice but she took forever to get our things. There were people who came in after us and left before us.   My man got a burger which he said wasn't made well dry falling in pieces and his fries where cold. The bloody Mary's tasted like ketchup. Just order a beer and put it in there makes a good Chelada!  All in all! I'm going back for the crawfish Mac n cheese or anything crawfish for that matter! More...

I would like to give a thumbs up to all the staff of Crazy Cajun located in Beaumont, Texas. To Kenzie, & Eliza, our Servers, Sarah, our Bartender, Joey, Will, & Marcel, Chefs, Haylee & Debbie. Thank you for the excellent service and the quality of food we received on Saturday December, 9 2017.  We visited this location to celebrate a birthday of a family member. We needed additional seating for our party of 12 and was accommodated in a timely manner.  Our party travel from Texas City, Houston, Spring Cypress & locally, just to have lunch at Crazy Cajun.  The food was excellent with large portions, with that "real" Louisiana flavor.  Have been to this restaurant before, but this visit was special.  Thanks again for your hospitality and excellent customer service! I ordered shrimp mac and cheese (I switched the  crawfish for shrimp) and fries. The portions are very generous and tasty.  Make sure you go hungry.   Many places make mac and cheese that taste like it was made from the box however Crazy Cajun's recipe taste homemade. One of the best I've had from a restaurant. I love french fries and I like them prepared and cooked a certain way and these definitely hit the spot It's my second time visiting and the food did not disappoint. Very friendly staff and management.  Some reviewers complained of the wait time however the food is made to order and the wait wasn't long.  I definitely will recommend to friends and I will be going back. Good fried seafood here. Always on point. They do have non fried items. But I believe the catfish is excellent and is my go to. The sour cream and chives potatoes as a side (with cheese) are must! Service was great.  Server was at table within seconds of being seated.  Head waiter checked to make sure server was doing her job correctly.  And to make sure we were happy.  Food was served quickly,  fried shrimp cooked to perfection.  Really like the batter on the shrimp.  Plenty of side dish to go with the meal.  Lunch special prices were good for being seafood and the amount you got. I have to call this place a hidden jem. It is not well lit up its in an old fast food place and it's anything but fast food.  The food here was absolutely delicious!! Stopped here for dinner after long day driving back to Houston. Lots of locals eating here and easy to see why. I ordered medium fried catfish and my son order medium shrimp. Food fried well, not greasy and sides (coleslaw and onion rings) were great. Place looks like reconverted fast food place and not fancy but food was great and prices reasonable for the portions. This little Hawaiian girl that married someone from Dry Prong and comes back 30 years later to Louisiana ends up eating at this terrific restaurant. When arriving, I had a feeling the food must be good because the place was packed on a Sunday night with us and others waiting to sit.  There were 8 of us on our table.  I got to eat the catfish poboy with remoulade and I was in Heaven.  My husband ate the crawfish and seafood gumbo and loved each bite.  Service was good.  My only complaint was that the air conditioner was really cold.  Fortunately, one of the ladies that were at our table had a blanket and that solved the problem.  There was adequate parking and the inside was clean and comfortable.I would highly recommend this place because the taste and flavors were spot on. This is only the second time I have been to this restaurant.  The first time I went it was called something else. We moved to Las Vegas 2 years ago and we are back for a visit.
