DJ Crash was an awesome DJ for our wedding. My husband and I initially planned on having a band play at our wedding, but after thinking through the logistics, value, and fun-factor of our wedding, we are so confident in our decision to hire Crash. When you hire a DJ for your wedding, you have to realize that person is in charge of your party. He or she has to be able to read the room, adjust the flow of the evening, and ensure people are still having a great time. Several of our guests told us that our wedding was the most fun they've ever been to, and I'll attribute a large part of that to DJ Crash (and to the open bar, but that's a different review). Crash is incredibly professional. He checked in on me and my husband several times before the wedding to get a sense of our music tastes, what our friends and family were like, and what our dream wedding would be like. Crash was our DJ for our APRIL 23rd wedding in Malibu. He was the most professional DJ I've ever worked with and I used to own an event company so I've worked with many. He was constantly a source of calm to me at my wedding. and during the stressful planning. knew he'd get it all right and he did. He played every song we wanted and even made several special mixes for us. He's very talented at gaging the room and met with us several times in person and by phone to be sure it was all perfect. We had him as our wedding DJ and that was the best decision for our wedding. First of all, he drove half an hour to meet us for a coffee before we even signed him just so we would feel comfortable working with him. We knew immediately we wanted to work with him because he was such a cool guy yet very professional. He edited the song we wanted to use for our first dance song to fit our dance moves and he absolutely did an amazing job on that. He was very great at following up with the song list, processing timings etc which is what you need when you have multiple things going on right before the big day. He even came to our place a couple weeks before the wedding to go over everything. He truly made us feel comfortable and everyone at the wedding had a blast. We were told by all our guests that he was the best dj they've seen and we couldn't agree more. He truly made our wedding so special. Crash helped make our wedding great! We had a challenging location, the Aquarium of the Pacific. We had a difficult facility coordinator and a ball breaker of a wedding coordinator. Crash dealt with everyone in a professional manner. Crash handled the Pre-Ceremony music, the ceremony music, then moved to another location for the cocktail hour after the ceremony and then setup again for the reception. We gave him a very very specific playlist from the 70's & 80's. He blended our wish list seamlessly with modern hits. He handled all the reception announcements perfectly. And once the dancing started, he ROCKED it. He kept the Dance floor packed mixing our requests, with his choices, and everybody loved it. Crash's communication before the wedding made sure that everything we wanted would be taken care of. And at the wedding we didn't have to ask anything of him. Crash went to the wedding and handled everything without us ever having to ask for anything, he was in all the right places, at all the right times, with all the right music. We didn't once have to worry about the DJ at our wedding. And there wasn't anything that was missed. Even the ball buster of a wedding coordinator said he was a blessing to work with. My wife and I highly recommend Crash, he made sure that our memorable day was perfect and enjoyable for the whole crowd. Crash is hands down the best DJ I've ever worked with. He takes requests. He plays SUPER COOL music. He's low key and down to earth. He has all the equipment you'll need...and the sound is AMAZING. Crash is ultra-professional and has a great eye and ear for what kind of mood the crowd is in. I trusted his expertise and kind of gave him carte blanch to dictate the playlist at an event I planned for my place of employment and he did not disappoint at all. He live-mixed the music rather than just playing straight from the album and, having recently attended a party where the music was jilted, too loud, then too quiet and not at all in keeping with the overall mood, I highly respect his abilities. Music is, to me, such an essential part of any successful party and Crash knows how and when to turn a crowd up or down. He was also very easy to work with, kind and, as I said, professional. We hired DJ Crash for our wedding in June 2013 at the Annenberg Beach House in Santa Monica. He was absolutely amazing during wedding planning and on the wedding day. I randomly stumbled upon DJ Crash's website while looking for a dj for my wedding.  What initially caught my attention was the mix that was playing on his site. It was pretty sweet. Browsing around his site, I realized he was a big shot.  Decided to give him a call.  To my surprise, Crash was so incredibly nice, professional and down-to-earth. He told me about his experience and made me feel so comfortable and confident that we booked him the next day.  Also, his rates are very reasonable and less than many other DJ's in the LA area. We used DJ Crash for our August 2011 wedding. He was extremely professional, timely, and responsive. Not only did he DJ our reception, but he set up music for our ceremony and cocktail hour! Crash also provided the lighting for our wedding reception, and it created a dramatic and romantic atmosphere for our reception. We had a phone meeting with him leading up to the wedding, and he helped us organize all the things we would need music for and decide what to play. We couldn't have picked a better MC/DJ for our wedding. During planning, I had told Crash not to expect too many people to dance as the bulk of the attendees are older conservative types from overseas. However, after the first song people were flowing to the dance floor and kept on dancing through the night. Crash did a great job at feeling out the crowd and played music that kept them coming back to the dance floor. DJ Crash (yes, Crash is his real name) was the DJ for our wedding and he did an absolutely remarkable job. From our first meeting with him until we shook hands after the reception, DJ Crash was a professional every step of the way. He was responsive to our requests, provided valuable input and insight, and (most importantly) created an excellent atmosphere during our reception where, literally, everyone was dancing the entire time. In fact, we got to witness him in action the week before since he was the DJ for my wife's cousin's wedding - and, of course, he kept the party going from beginning to end. Another very important thing to note: DJ Crash is an actual disc jockey, as opposed to other "DJs" who simply program songs into a playlist and hit "play." Crash DJ'd our wedding ceremony and reception and he is AWESOME--less pricey than most of the other DJs out there, very professional, talented, timely, played our songs and really knew how to read our crowd. He was an excellent MC and was spot on with his DJ music selection. After dinner and until the very end, there was a non-stop dance party (well, except for when "smells like teen spirit" came on, but I blame the down time on my husband who made the special request =)). We're so glad we went with DJ Crash, he really made our evening and seriously ROCKED IT! We've received a ton of compliments from guests on how our wedding set the bar and how it was the best they've ever been to, and thanks no doubt in part to DJ Crash. Obviously, we highly recommend Crash to any engaged couples out there looking for a reliable, responsive, kick-ass DJ who really knows what he's doing. And as a person, he is as thoughtful as they come.
