First time in going to Briafields, I was attending a afternoon tea for a baby shower.. staff were lovely and friendly, very helpful with smiles! .. lovely place and masses if room for people who are disabled, including parking , toilets, doors and doorways .. so accommodating for all! ...The food was amazing .. we were in a snug room with varying chairs and tables ..some with 2seater sofas in front of wood burner , higher chairs , large arm chairs ...made the room super cost and snug! .. would highly recommend!! Many Thanx.. I shall enjoy returning for something off the menu! .. I noticed outside a lovely big play area with decking tht had several tables and chairs so would be great for the kids to run around and enjoy a bite to eat outside (in warmer weather!) .. sign outside said breakfast 8-10 which is great to have a lovely place where people can have a treat n have breakfast out-why not!! Very comfortable room, staff are friendly and the bar/ restaurant area is really pleasant to eat in. Sadly the meal I had wasn't that tasty, which was a bit disappointing as the menu is great.

This hotel is well situated for birding the Norfolk coast. It is convenient for RSPB Titchwell and Cley and the many other well known spots nearby. |The staff are pleasant, the rooms well appointed and the menu extensive and reasonably priced. Packed breakfast is available if one wishes to depart prior to 8.00am and the pacjed lunch includes a drink, a choice of sandwich, some cake and a piece of fruit.|Parking is good. More...

"A venue suitable for a two-day business meeting on the NW Norfolk coast" might not suggest many options, but with the facilities on offer at Briarfields we didn't need to look anywhere else. The standard of accommodation was excellent, including the private snug which made for an excellent meeting room (installed projector and screen included). The food was excellent every meal, and the chance to walk through the neighbouring RSPB reserve to the beach and back before a hearty breakfast made for a really memorable stay. Had a very enjoyable 3 night stay at the Briarfields recently. We were in room 22 which is the dog friendly deluxe room. It had plenty of space for our dog’s crate and was well equipped. The room was cosy warm ( which was welcome given the weather) . The bathroom was a very good size . The hotel itself had plenty of places to sit and enjoy a drink and a bite to eat. We often visit North Norfolk and when our usual hotel was fully booked we decided to try Briarfields.||We bought the dog and loved the dog friendly room near the courtyard with the added bonus of a door to your own car parking space and easy access for early morning dog walks. ||Room was clean and tidy, all hotel staff were friendly and professional and the food and service were excellent.||Would not hesitate to recommend and we are already looking forward to returning, hoping for better weather this time ! Nice rooms cosy ambience- sorry you have to work for your pay.||You have the opportunity to be in the top handful of hospitality establishments in the region. There is clearly a problem with motivation of staff and commitment to ensure complete satisfaction. Food is at best acceptable, but that's generous. Staff are pleasant people but clearly not incentivised sufficiently to go that extra mile. The place has the feeling of being run by accountants. Sadly that means that saving a few pounds on staff wages means they lose the incentive to indulge guests in ordering that little extra that would make the additional costs pale into insignificance and the experience of being there a special one.|Nearly good....but sadly fails. Nice lunch today and very comfortable surroundings. Had lunch and settled down to a couple of hours relaxing in the snug with a couple of cups of tea, newspapers and comfy chairs. Staff are always welcoming and helpful and always happy to supply a bowl of water and some special treats for our dog Bertie. We ate here accompanied by our dog. Having booked via Facebook messenger were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our table. The menu was extensive and it took us time to decide what to eat. We had a main and a dessert. Both courses were delicious and obviously freshly prepared. We can thoroughly recommend eating here. We will certainly return when we're next in the area on holiday. My boyfriend and I visited Briarfields restaurant for the first time back in August to celebrate our anniversary. The location, restaurant and food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. Wonderful time here. Birthday treat. Hubby and I arrived and were shown to our room which was beautiful, we then popped to the bar for drinks, they offered us the fireplace and brought drinks over. We were given a voucher which entitled us to a Saturday night stay in a deluxe room, with an evening meal and breakfast. The bedroom was within a courtyard which I liked and secluded, however we found at night it was quite noisy as people congregated outside our room for drinks and smoking. The bedroom was nice, décor a little clumsy and mismatching, but overall fine. The bathroom was nice with a lovely freestanding bath, perhaps a music system or TV at one end would be beneficial to enhance it further. The restaurant was large with lots of nice places to sit. The service was very good during the meal and the waitress was very helpful. We both ordered burgers and said no bacon, and she picked up on this and asked if it was because we didn’t eat pork, as if that was the case we would not be able to have the burger as this was a beef and pork mix. Wonderful attentive service. The food was all good, a few highlights were the sea bream, pecan pie and cheese board.||||Breakfast was again very good, there was a table to help yourself to juices, croissants and cereal. In additional you then could choose a cooked item off the menu along with toast. ||||Overall a good stay, perfect for walks along the coast which we did, great food and wonderful service. Just home from a fabulous 3 day stay at the Briarfields Hotel. Fantastic location - plenty to visit within a few miles. Very friendly efficient staff. Hotel has a lovely atmosphere and fresh contemporary decor. We were staying in one of the ‘lodges’ and had our own allocated parking space. Plenty of room and the shower was unbelievably good! I returned about a year later after a very successful visit then. I am glad I did. Great location next to a major Bird Sanctuary (RSPB) and close to a stunning beach. Hotel has very high standards. All staff that I met had that ideal combination of being friendly but maintain a high standard of professionalism, Great attention to detail with an excellent wine list and good priced menu. It is all about attention to detail from home made hot bread served at dinner to a great local cheeses. I stayed in room 25 which had a large state of the art bathroom, self contained clothes room (instead of wardrobes) large quiet bedroom with great views. ||||There was a good ratio of staff to clients so the actual service delivery was excellent in the bar and dining room.||||I would recommend the Hotel and its restaurant to anyone who wants to visit an undiscovered secret" ||||Peter Allen More...
