Great health club overall. I usually go when they open at 4:30 a.m. and it's awesome. The weight room is empty so I can get a great workout in without it being crowded. It's probably the best "club" experience in the county. More...

The best gym in town by far. It's never crowded and it has a lot of different things to do, like ping pong (the only reason my wife even goes there), tennis, a hot tub, and two pools. It's a little more expensive than Planet Fitness, but how much is your fitness worth to you? You'll enjoy Courts Plus a lot more. You''ll get more of a workout in. You'll be able to swim when you go. No waiting in line to use the machines.. Just pay the extra $20 a month. More...

I really enjoy coming here. The staff is wonderful, the childcare is great, there are so many different classes to choose from and they are so much fun! The facility is big and there is a lot to do. The only reason I don't give it a 5 star rating is because the building is older and could really use some repairs/updates, but that doesn't keep me from continuing to be a member. I love this place! I've been a member for a couple of months now and so far so good with 2 minor hiccups! I haven't been able to use the pool yet but I will soon. Staff told me I am allowed to bring my two year old with me and since it has been colder here it is a great activity her and I can engage in. I mostly utilize the cardio and weight room. For the cardio room if they had another stair master that would be awesome! Sometimes I have to wait to get on it. The weight room is great in my opinion a lot of motivation in there and usually never over crowded unless a holiday is coming up. Next is the locker room, Not bad at all. Theirs a Spanish women whose usually in there making sure its tidy and shes amazing . I, for the most part am in the gym extremely early so shes the first human I interact with for the day and always a great conversation and very polite. Lastly is the daycare AT FIRST the very first time I left my daughter I felt like it was a huge inconvenience to the staff members in there. My kid can be a cryer so I understand(to an extent, toddlers cry) but she maybe wasn't in there 7 or so minutes and they came to get me while I was in the WR they said she won't stop crying and if she continues I'd have to leave. I quickly followed the female and I didn't let my daughter know I was there at all i heard no crying, just saying sometimes you have to give kids a few minutes calm down plus she's a toddler... the second time I went to drop her off it was the same thing. Though she didn't really cry but the child care staff didn't seem they wanted to be there and did not greet me just rudely asked if i brought snacks. I rushed my entire work out cause i felt uncomfortable leaving her with people who seemed like they did not want to be there BUT the third time i brought her there with my husband it was a  whole different atmosphere! Completely different, every person was in a better mood and extremely polite .. they said they give 15 minutes and if the child doesn't stop crying THEN they get you which is waaay longer then when they first got me. Maybe, possibly this should be how the child care staff should be all the time and not flip flop. I don't know which service I will get once time to the next the days I do come later in the day and bring my child. I really hope my husband being with me wasn't a changing variable in the way treatment went. You pay extra a month to have the consistent service so their should be the same consistent customer service to follow . Which is why I gave 4 stars instead if 5 but very much so willing to re review in 6 months if it all improves ! The place is great though! Great price and all except those two minor hiccups. Also in the child care room (I don't remember her name) she is white with shoulder length brown hair. When ever shes there I feel extremely comfortable leaving my daughter in her care! Best one in the room. When I come back to re review i'll definitely throw her name in there and the locker room woman! And their is a male with collar bone length dreads he has outstanding customer service as well! More...

I enjoyed my experience. Joseph was very nice and very informative. He gave us a great tour of the facility. It is a little bit of an older building and a little bit of a maze. But what they lack in upgrades they make up for in availability. I don't have to wait for a weight machine. Nice people, nice environment, very laid back. More...

I liked this gym a lot for my first time going. Just to talk about what they have to offer. They have a weight room, cardio room, multiple racquetball courts, HITT room, saunas, Daycare, indoor and outdoor pool. They offer a lot of classes that come with membership. I work for the county and they have great county rates. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the “old” feel. The outside of the building has been the same for 15 years, just a faded old building. The cardio room is nice but they have TONS of ellipticals that I wish they would switch out some for more stair masters.. The Fall hours aren't the most convenient other then that glad I got a membership there. JOSEPH JOSEPH JOSEPH!!! HE’S AWESOME!! TALK TO HIM IF YOU GO More...

First time in the gym today. I did arms so most of this review will be about dumbells. And here is my first and honest observation. The gym, despite being quite old and having outdated equipment was, to me, very well maintained. The staff was by no means rude and they don't like to get in people's way when while working out. I think that they were very courteous and are eager to help when approached. They aren't the typical staff where they will pretend to be nice but, like I said, they are BY NO MEANS rude. It's a gym, people! Not a preschool. Don't expect the staff to coddle you!I am used to working out in gyms aboard Marine Corps bases and it is nice to be in a gym that doesn't get as crowded as a gym full of Marines day in and day out. Although the difference between Marines and civilians is that Marines actually put their weights back and clean the equipment that they use. That is to no fault of the staff but the lack of discipline of its members. I kind of feel bad for the staff in Courts Plus having to return weights and clean sweaty equipment that someone else used. The gym has everything you need and can think of! An indoor and outdoor pool, a weight room with complete equipment to tackle any kind of workouts, a cardio room, multiple racket ball courts, an indoor basketball court, a play area for little tots, and so on!I would have given the gym a 5 star rating but here are the reasons why I did not.1. A lot of the equipment needs to be updated. There were multiple weights that were severely rusted and dumbells that were extremely old and slightly bent out of shape.2. There is no uniformity in the type of dumbells that they have on the racks. They have multiple brands of dumbells that have varying handles so I would have to change my grip in order to adapt to the kind of dumbells I use. (The type of dumbells change way too often as I increase the weight.)3. They had dumbells weighing only up to 100lbs. (I need a gym that carries at least up to 140 - 150lb dumbells in order for me to achieve the limits of my daily workouts.)Other than that, I believe that Courts Plus is a wonderful place to set my mind free and get a decent workout without having to wait in a line full of testosterone raging Marines.I will update my review as I move on to different workouts. I love this gym... It is an older facility but it's big and VERY family friendly. The childcare workers are friendly and paid extra attention to my son when he first started going so he could adjust to being left with them - he doesn't need the extra attention now bc he loves playing here so much! Power yoga with Elena is AMAZING! She's the best yoga instructor I've had in my 6 years of practice! Matt is an awesome personal trainer ! I've seen amazing results with him, and he's always very open to adjusting my workouts based on my pre-existing injuries and pain. The pools are a huge plus to be able to have time in the sun or out if we want! I highly recommend this gym! More...

I have been attending Courts Plus for a bit now and I have been very please overall with my experience. Instead of writing a long drawn out review of things, I've decided that the most effective review I can give will be a "pro" and "con" list. I hope that this helps some with making the choice of whether or not to choose Courts Plus as their fitness headquarters.PROS:- LOCALLY OWNED!- Competitive prices compared to other gyms in the area and around the state.- Will tell you their prices over the phone, which other gyms in this area won't do.- Great staff in the childcare room, one of the few places I'm 100% comfortable leaving my children.- Nice and friendly staff, always polite and willing to help if you need anything.- Variety of workout options including two pools. The plan is to, in the future, switch the pools to salt water (this is a big PRO for me!)- Variety of classes throughout the days/weeks so there is something for everyone.- They offer an alternative plan for just peak hours (or is it off peak? I think it's peak) for a cheaper price.- They have a great program for the first 30 days of enrollment where if you can get anyone else to sign up they will not only waive that person's enrollment fee, your account is credited $50.- Dry sauna.- Although more expensive, they do offer a month-to-month payment plan so you don't have to be locked into anything.CONS:- The enrollment fee is a bit high compared to gyms throughout the state. They do often have "half off" deals, but it's still high. The highest being $126 currently.- They do NOT have free childcare as advertised. The "free" childcare comes with paying for your child to be a member. That meant me paying an extra $20 per month. While this is cheaper than getting a sitter, I believe it to be false advertising that this is "free" or "included" childcare.- Their childcare room, though staffed by amazing people, is a bit...blah. Not very many toys, plain white walls and floor. I think they could be more imaginative in this department for the sake of the kids.NEUTRAL COMMENTS:- Be aware that this is an OLD BUILDING. Sometimes there are leaks after heavy rains, some lockers in the locker rooms don't have hinges. In my opinion this just happens and is neither a pro nor a con.- Don't be turned off by the non-choice of having to walk up stairs to get to the door. Personally I love any excuse to exercise, but I've heard some complaints about this. You get used to it...don't forget why you joined a gym in the first place.- Be prepared that peak hour parking may mean having to park back in the gravel area and walk. Some may consider this a con, but I just see it as a sign of a gym that enough people love that it fills up during peak hours. Good for them!- If you want to pay before your bank account draft day then they don't draft. Very handy for when you have the money NOW and are worried you'll forget the draft is coming out.- They do NOT remind you when your contract is up, and that is stated in the contract. ALWAYS READ CONTRACTS, they are legally binding and you are putting your signature on them. Don't worry about taking up too much of their time, this is something you are agreeing to for one to two years (unless you're doing the month to month plan) so be sure you know what you're agreeing to! Once your contract is up you are moved to a monthly plan for the same price so you can cancel any time, but hopefully you won't want to :)Okay everyone, I hope that this review helped you with your choice. I only chose "very good" instead of excellent because I'm still very displeased with their offer of "included" childcare. I mean I obviously still signed up as it's cheaper than a sitter, but I don't agree with this as I believe it to be false advertising.Have a good day! More...
