We discovered Rood Ashton Lake In 2017 and it was the perfect venue for our wedding vision! We opted for tipi tents on the lake side. Sam & Kristina were very supportive & responsive from the beggining. The venue boasts a beautiful lake, picturesque grounds ideal for photos, an area for guests to camp, easy access, parking and a bridal suite as well as other accommodation options. We chose to enlist Kristina for our catering and she worked tirelessly to ensure our picnic lunch was perfect. Sam & Kristina also ran the bar on the day and offered hire of other items including the tractor that escorted the bridal party to the ceremony ( and was a memorable & fun experience), also hire of the bridal suite with hot tub! And smaller items like chalk boards, oak barrels, crockery, hay bales, fire pits & phone charging station etc. Kristina and Sam accommodated all of our wild ideas from the new tipi location & outdoor ceremony to an ice cream van and pizza oven setting up. The service from both of them in the 2 years preceding our wedding as well as the set up & take down days and the wedding itself was fantastic. Especially quick responses to the adverse weather in the morning ( don’t worry we had sun all day after! ). The food in the picnic baskets was really popular with the guests as was the bar of course ! Waiting staff also looked after people really well and provided service with a smile. Finally with regards to accommodation our guests were able to enjoy glamping tents arranged by Kristina and Sam. Guests could easily book directly with them and they came with beds and some soft furnishings for a comfortable stay, allowing guests to arrive in all of their finery but still enjoy camping beside the beautiful lake and partying with no worries about taxis. All in all I would 100% recommend this venue and the countryside events team to everyone, not only are they professionals but genuinely lovely people to work with during the happiest day of our lives. My daughter's recent wedding took place on the side of the lake at Rood Ashton, a totally idyllic spot, we had games for the children and used the local Marquee company as suggested by Kristina of Countryside Events. Kristina and Sam are absolutely amazing and done amazing job in making my wedding day so special. the bar was brilliant. really reasonable prices to. I could not of asked for more from them at all. The venue was absolutely beautiful. The bell tent we hired from them was perfect and the attention to detail was WOW. We wanted chilled out countryside wedding and couldn’t have asked for more. The staff bend over backwards to make the day exactly how you want it and are so creative and open to new ideas. So many of our guests left us saying “that was the best wedding I’ve ever been to” but a lot of this was down to the setting and staff. Such a beautiful venue combined with such efficient and professional staff is most certainly the reason that they are fully booked for the next few years! Just to put things in perspective both my wife and I’s families have incredibly high standards and these guys surpassed them to no end. We can’t thank Kristina and Sam enough for their help during the build up to our wedding and especially to them both and Paul on the day. We hired the lake field for our celebrant ceremony and Home Farm field for the marquee reception. We hired some of the items they had available including masses of straw bales and they were even able to accommodate some extras we wanted such as logs to hold jars of flowers either side of the isle which looked fantastic! We also used their bar service which was very reasonably priced. All the staff looked professional in uniform and were lovely. Kristina and Sam organised a tractor and trailer for the bridal party to be taken down to the lake also at a reasonable price and what an entrance that was! We were so grateful that we could leave them some instructions to ensure things went smoothly during the day and everything was brought back up from the lake and set up again at Home Farm for us. For anyone looking to have a wedding here do it! You will have support and you get to choose exactly what you want. More...

We had our wedding a couple of weeks ago at Rood Ashton Lake and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The setting is absolutely stunning and we all had the most perfect day. Kristina was a fantastic help throughout the booking process, nothing was too much trouble and she had some great ideas and props to help create our festival themed wedding :). Kristina and the team also ran a bar for us which was very professional and hassle free.
