What can I say, from the moment I contacted Sophie the service was incredible. Nothing was too much, the menu’s planned were amazing even with vegan and gluten free! Then Jess took over who was just incredible, found out exactly how and when we wanted everything done and picked up on the vibe that we were going for during the weekend. The whole team were faultless, the food outstanding and everyone commented on just how perfect it was. I found Country Plate Catering most helpful and considerate Sophie was most friendly and understanding to my needs, more than satisfied with the menu looking forward to the evening in April.

From the moment I contacted the guys at Country Plate I knew we were gonna have a great evening to celebrate a special birthday. As 12 lovely ladies of a certain age we had booked a long weekend away in Somerset and wanted private caterers one night. Jess & Chris turned up on time and delivered the most amazing dinner and canapés for us. They just sort of melted in to the background of our evening but we’re on point all night. Kris & Jess catered for 10 women this week at a retreat I hosted in Somerset. It was perfectly on time, we all had different choices of starters, mains & dessert, and it tasted absolutely delicious. They even happily catered for one of my guests with severe allergies. They were very attentive, also keeping me and my guests topped up with wine. From the moment I sent an email to Sophie at Country Plate Catering, it was a success! Super responsive and listened to what I had requested, spoke to the house we were renting to check the equipment in the property so they came prepared and then sent me a very competitive quote with a large selection menu so it would suit all 21 of us. It put my mind at ease from the get-go.
On the day of our dinner party the team arrived at the time they said they would and nothing was too much trouble. They didn't mind how relaxed our group was which put all of us at ease knowing we could be ourselves through dinner.
The food was outstanding, not one negative word uttered from our group. Starter came at the time agreed however they checked we didn't need to hold off before cooking it and it all came out perfectly timed. Meat, veggie, and gluten-free all catered for and each one of us very happy.
What more can you ask for, super responsive, competitively priced, the food was amazing and they come to set up and clean up leaving you to do nothing more than enjoy a fab meal. We are going to be using them every year from now on when we do our annual trip and can't wait to welcome the team back again. Well what can I say! We couldn’t recommend Sophie, Jess and the team at Country Plate Catering more! We were originally supposed to get married last May (2020) when the pandemic hit and our day had to be cancelled. Shortly afterwards our original caterers let us down and I was so upset and distraught with it all. Luckily eventually I managed to find Country Plate Catering and they turned everything around and completely put me at ease! They completely replicated our original menu choices, worked with our original budget and were just the most understanding, caring and helpful people! We had to postpone a second time and Sophie was again really helpful and accommodating. We had a couple of guests who required special request meals and Country Plate Catering were only too happy to assist and made separate meals for them! Come the day, the team went above and beyond expectations! With the wedding reception being at a village hall we didn’t have any staff, so as well the food, Jess set up games and decorations before guests arrived. Despite limited facilities the food was hot, well cooked, excellently presented and absolutely delicious! So many of the guests complimented it! Country Plate were very accommodating when we needed to change the date of the party, the food was delicious and very proffessional presented, Sophie met our requirements and our guests enjoyed the Tea Party, we would strongly recommend them to our friends, well done.
