A long extensive search to find an exceptional counselor tell me deal with my anxiety. I shopped around for a while and asked a lot of questions, yet there seem to be a disconnect between me and most of the counselors that I spoke to. Maybe it was me but after I spoke to Nancy over the phone for an introduction she seem to have a great understanding of the things that I needed to talk about. Hi went through with the first couple of sessions and still wasn't sure about where are I was with making progress until the following couple weeks seem to be easier in dealing with stress at work and slowing myself down from panicking and overthinking stuff. There were a few exercises that we went through in order to get me on the right track and I will continue to see her before hi have any reason not to. Her rates are definitely reasonable as well compared to some of the other local anxiety counselors. After an extensive uphill battle of finding a great, affordable marriage therapist, Nancy was the savior. We struggled for years until the egg shell finally cracked and we decided to stop blaming our problems on other people. If someone is actually willing to make the commitment and become selfless, people like Nancy will help you. you just have to take the time to be responsible and fess up to the things that you are letting get in the way of your marriage or family life. It's funny cause the common denominator of some of these people who say other wise seem like they just want freebees when they should be considering the concept of investing in their life vs taking from others. A friend of mine referred me to Nancy and she is an absolutre darling. I was very hesitant to participate in counseling as I have heard mixed experiences from people who went to ther counselors, however, Nancy is one of a kind. I contemplated doing counseling services for my anxiety, and i finally bit the bullet. After reading a lot of different reviews online, Nancy seemed to be the most down to earth and legit. Some of the Bigger Counseling centers seem too robotic. Nancy's service was extremely great! The Counseling session was about an hour and it didn't drag on too long. Nancy makes me feel like she actually cares about what I have to say. She maintains eye contact and doesn't seem distracted. She takes time to measure her responses. Her advice has been spot on.
It's hard for me to trust someone enough to share how I'm feeling. So many people ask how I'm doing, prod me for details, then either get distracted with their smart phones or are in a state of disconnect focusing on a reply they think will "make me feel better." Nancy is one of the very few people in this world I don't mind sharing things with (no matter how personal.) I know she will really listen to me and that she truly cares.
