We provide a range of services and focus on making sure dogs in our care develop their confidence and behaviour. Our walking team walk small groups of dogs that are carefully selected to ensure they all have a great walk. Our training is force-free and uses proven effective techniques to help owners get the most from their pets, whether training great behaviours or handling unwanted ones.

Simba and me have just finished an 8 week course on gundog training. Barnaby has made it fun to train Simba with the games that we play, the knowledge and passion friendliness and enthusiasm that he has makes you want to learn more and work with your dog. After numerous years of having holidays with our dogs and not getting the chance to go abroad, we have finally found such wonderful, caring, professional dog lovers. Maddie has been walking our two dogs on a weekly basis and she kindly stayed with our dogs whilst we enjoyed our first holiday abroad in many years. Maddie is such a lovely person who we felt comfortable with and knew our dogs were in good care. We have returned from our holiday and both dogs are clearly missing her- it says it all! From dreading taking the dog out to looking forward to the next walk. All from one session with Barnaby. My 7-month whippet Anjuna struggled to focus when on walks which results in pulling and lunging at other dogs (to play, not aggressively) I knew changes had to be made as I found myself not wanting to go for walks. A quick Google for "Whippet Trainer Cheltenham" and I found Cotswold Hound in the number one spot. The process to book Barnaby was simple. When I phoned up to enquire I had a great conversation with Bryony. I then choose the time that suited me (and Anjuna) online after registering. On training day, Barnaby took the time to get to know Anjuna and us... Then the knowledge bombs started!. The way he communicates is like poetry. He uses "Human" similarities to explain what makes Anjuna tick and how to encourage new behaviour. For example: "Anjuna pulling to pick up and chew sticks is like us going out on a shopping trip. It gives her the same dopamine hit as a fresh pair of trainers" He would then show us how we could become more interesting than that stick (or pair of trainers) After a walk around the block giving lots of clear advice, practice and scenarios we now are excited about future walks. Barnaby has given us the structure and foundations to love our walks again. We are seeing improvements already after only a couple of days. Barnaby also sent over an incredibly detailed email/report of the walk so we didn't forget anything. He let us know he is always open to messages if we get stuck or need reminding of a technique. I wouldn't use or recommend any other dog trainer. Barnaby couldn't do enough for us and Anjuna absolutely loved him. I can't recommend him enough and look forward to future sessions! We find it hard to leave Ted our Border Terrier, but knowing he's being looked after, cared for, walked, fed, and most importantly loved and cuddled makes it so much easier. Bryony sets a high standard for others to aspire to. Ted absolutely loves to be with her, and enjoys the interaction with florence and the other dogs being looked after or walked during his stay.
