Janet is a dedicated fitness professional, with a kind heart and gentle spirit, but don't let that "softness" deter you. To everyone who watches her videos or has read her posts, you can already see that her workouts are hard core. If you are on the fence...commit!! I have been working out with her for I think five years now...she is tough and committed to making your time with her count...you will cycle through at least three rounds of two or three super sets. If you decide to jump in on a group class, she will put you with men and women who will push you to be better!! You have nothing to lose but weight and inches and you may gain some lasting friendships!!! More...

I had the opportunity to be a client of Janet’s for over three years. She is a great motivator and thru the workouts she structure and nutrition guides she provided I was able to exceed my strength and endurance goals. Janet makes sure each workout is catered to the individual in the session. She gives great feedback on technique and position so that I am doing the exercise correctly and don't hurt myself. I’ve been seeing Janet for almost 2 years. I’m in significantly better shape from when I first started. I’ve learned a lot about nutrition / fitness since I started. I definitely see more definition. On top of that I have lost almost 15 pounds and kept them off since I started.

She is extremely personable and has a great relationship with all of her clients. I have enjoyed working out with her. I highly recommend her as a trainer.

* OMG…if you have never had a Personal Trainer, I suggest you drop some money if you can and try it. I thought I was doing well working out at the gym and in shape but thought I would try a Personal Trainer and signed up with Janet Lynn West at her gym near Columbia and Ellicott City called Core Elements by Janet Lynn West. She also helps with nutrition planning to help max your body. If you live in the area or have Skype capabilities, you may want to check it out. I just got my glutes handed to me. I felt like I was in High School or College with the drill Sargent coaches I grew up with and I am sore as all get out. Best thing I have ever done!!! I obviously have a way to go after realizing my shortfalls I did not know I had since I never weight trained with a professional. Definitely worth experiencing in your lifetime and be the best you can be. You will never push yourself as much as a trainer will. Janet has opened my eyes and at near 55 she helped me reach back into my youthfulness and drive to be the best I can be. I am excited to push forward to the next level of good health. Janet provides structure for success offering meal plans, workout programs individualized to your goals. Once a week is sign in time where you record body fat and muscle mass so she tracks your progress and makes adjustments to have you reach your goals. Nutrition is 80% of results. Janet knows the way to a leaner physique by applying the same principles she uses to get stage ready for her bikini competitions in the IFBB.

The secret to getting the body of your dream is dedication, commitment and accountability. 80% of the results come from proper nutrition and goal setting. In addition, a leader that can assign you the right amount of cardio, weight training exercises, and the proper ratio of macronutrients in your diet to yield results will yield you the body of your dreams.

I have been getting results for 13 years by leading by example. In preparing for a competition, I use many of the same principles in yielding results for my clients. Eating clean 7 days a week with balanced foods and carbohydrates that fuel energy as well as scheduled "cheats" to refuel when needed. It is difficult with the stream of fad diets out there and information overload to do it alone. Someone that can challenge you and give you a proper balanced diet plan that will be sustainable long term with intermittent cheats.

I love the fulfillment of seeing and enjoying the successes of my clients. To change the bone density numbers, increase mass and flexibility leading to better mobility is a powerful feeling when helping others. But the greatest enjoyment I get is from a client who takes control of their health and mental well being by working out and feeling more confident in everyday life.
