I came here for a distillery tour/tasting. The tour was fantastic! Our tour guide was so nice, fun, and very knowledgeable about everything being produced. The distillery is cool to see and it is in a cool part of Louisville! I also really enjoyed the tasting. All the spirits they produce are great! I ended up buying a bottle! I highly recommend this tour! More...

This place was amazing! From the minute attention to detail in every aspect of their property and buildings, to the warm and welcoming staff (including our awesome host/tour guide Drew), to the great lunch we had at Alex& nders, to the experience of enjoying some heavy bass music with the barrels in the rick room, and finally tasting and personally bottling our own brandies directly from the barrel, I can't say enough wonderful things about Copper & Kings. This is a MUST-SEE on any trip to The Lou or the Bourbon Trail!!!!! More...

I had my father in town and wanted to do something different and I happened to have 2 free tickets for a tour. The place is very cool visually. The entrance (check-in area) is in one of the shipping container's on the right when you walk towards the entry way. I was really hoping to see the roof deck since it's been mentioned in prior tours. It honestly was the reason I wanted to do the tour, Unfortunately, the roof deck was occupied for a private event. The tour itself was cool. It would be a good "things to do" type event. More...

We are locals, we brought two couples here for a tour last weekend. We were given an excellent tour by the knowledgeable and passionate Drew. I admit, I understand distillation, but I didn't understand all the nuances of the production, nor did I know about the history of Brandy in America. We had an informative tour, ending with an intimate tasting in a small room. I still struggle with a taste for Brandy, but they are quite good. The cherries in the gift shop are delicious! What a wonderful addition to our city; this is a terrific event space as well. They distill other spirits as well, very interesting. You can pour your personal bottle at end of tour, fun! More...

This is a great tour, product, people and marketing. Â We just returned from a weekend trip to Louisville and we decided to sign up for a time to tour a local distallary that isnt a drive away. Â These guys are located in Butchertown and so after bfast we sauntered over and joined the tour. Â Great tour that was perfectly un-stuffy and instead with a harder edge. Â The love of music pushed us over the top. Â If you are not a tour person, their product is amazing. Â They are so aware of who they are and what they wont to offer. Â They made me enjoy brandy. Â It drinks like one. Â They are seasoned and get it. Â Jason More...

Coper and Kings was the best distillery tour I've been on. I love doing something new and if you want to shake it up from the same old same old bourbon tour this is the place to go. Not only do they have this simple industrial look that is real cool but it's very small batch and you can tell everyone in the company is close which makes the whole tour feel more intimate and unique. Our tour guide was Drew Pomeroy and he was so great at being informative and entertaining. I feel like I really knew what the company was about and what the people who worked there were like after the tour. On most tours I've been on you don't get to try that many different items at the end. That is NOT the case here. If you are on a smaller tour you get to try 6 different items of your choice which is perfect because they do Brandy, Gin, Absinth and Liquors. They will even make a little cocktail for you if you can't handle your liquor straight. They have an awesome bar on top of the distillery that just recently started making food too that it totally worth checking out if you can't make a tour. The prices are really great for something craft and unique. I loved their gin and my dad bought one of their Brandy's that are only available on the tour (they have super small batch brandy that you can only buy on the tour which is really cool because you are 1 of several hundred that ever get to own it). Definitely worth checking out even if you are visiting for the bourbon because a lot of their brandy is in bourbon barrels. More...

*Updated reviewThe tour team is knowledgable and tell a great story about the brandy but their rooftop bar is where it's t. The scenery isn't much but the vibe is good and you can grab a bite to eat. The cocktails they offer highlight the brandy as a spirit and not just a "sipper". You get a true idea of what else you could do with the bottle of apple brandy you're definitely going to want to buy before leaving. More...

Small, new craft distillery of mostly Brandy in copper kettles. Tour takes about an hour and ends in your choice of two additional varieties of brandy, Gin or Absinthe. Wonderful event space can be rentedout. They are open to experimenting with different aging processes with different used barrels. Fyi...wine barrels are ~60 gallons versus bourbon barrels @ 52 gallons More...

This is a hip spot! They have tours of the distillery and it is pretty impressive. Learn about their products and processes to create them. They have a 2nd floor party room. The third floor is the bar and rooftop deck. The view of the city sky scape is great and a bonus. The soccer stadium is also right behind you. The front is made of shipping containers and has a modern vibe. With several different flavors to try and the cool vibe of the place, I would recommend it to friends looking for a good bar. More...

Top shelf tour!OK, I'm playing hometown tourist here, but take into account I have been on all sorts of tasting tours from Napa Valley to New Zealand, from Bourbon country to beer halls, and this one is one of the best. Certainly it's one of the coolest.Copper & Kings is ultra hip. You'll pick up on that right away. They're young, they're creative and they're fun. So is the tour. It's so very interesting to see what they're doing, to learn about brandy and to try all their many samples. My favorite -- the cellar where the colorfully labeled barrels are played music to bring out the flavors in the spirits. Seriously. It's science. But you can also download their daily playlists online. So cool! The tasting has so many options it's hard to choose. They even have mixers and garnishes so you can make a cocktail. Wow. Finally, the distillery is also a venue. It's a colorful, creative and different spot to hold an event. I love it. Upstairs is a cocktail bar, Alex&nder, where I highly recommend the drink with grapefruit soda and brandy. I can't remember the name, but everyone in my party loved it and some had more than one! We visited the distillery and were very impressed with the property's unique vibe. You can certainly tell that a lot of thought and care went into the design of the location and their products. Loved all the natural and environmentally friendly aspects woven into the experience. Our guided tour was really cool experience. Seeing how the brandy and other spirits were made and how they incorporate music, recycled barrels and all natural spices and flowers was super interesting. The tasting itself was very good. They have a lot of variations you can try as well as a unique area where you can bottle, label, and take home some of their one-time-only creations. Â They have a spectacular restaurant/bar with an amazing view and a large tasting room that can be rented out for events. I would totally recommend visiting and trying their brandies and other liquors. More...
