One of our favourite stop overs in North Norfolk, Thornham Deli produces such a great range of high quality, fresh and locally sourced dishes and deli treats both sweet and savory. Seating indoors and out and the current extension will provide welcome extra capacity. Service is always friendly and quick too. Brilliant visit. Family brunch after leaving family holiday rental nearby before travelling home. Short wait but browsed lovely shop and deli. Well stocked deli with some very interesting goods for sale. We stopped here purely to grab a loaf of bread and ended up having a coffee and cake both of which were very nice. They have a huge menu that we are going to go back and test properly. We will take our cool bag with us next time. More...

While on holiday last week I had to choose between two options: the beach shack on Brancaster beach, or a visit to the deli I passed on the drive there. I am so very glad I chose the latter. Thornham Deli is a delight and a bit of a misnomer. I half expected a food shop with the option to eat a sandwich or salad on the premises. Instead I had an outside table in an impressive and welcoming cafe and the chance to choose from a full, varied, and excellent value menu. The hummus crudites for a starter for two could have been a main course. Generous portions are a bit of a theme. My wife was unable to finish her overwhelming smoked salmon pitta. My fishcakes on a chargrilled pepper and salad base were simply amazing. Clearly homemade, they would have belonged on a menu in a fully fledged seafood restaurant.The milkshake was delicious too - even if I did choose to order one on a roasting day. My only regret is that I didn't get more chances to try other dishes on the menu. I will have to return to Norfolk soon!The actual deli counter was full of marvellous cheeses, meat, pastries and baked goodies. The homeware shop was also well worth a good browse. More...
