Very clean and organized furniture showroom....Friendly staff and great prices.  I came here the second time to buy a queen platform bedroom set.  Good quality and prices are affordable and unbeatable.As soon as we entered, two friendly females (Ann and Lilly) greeted us and guided to the desired department. Then 3rd staff Queen showed us different options followed by the great prices and options from the catalog by Jane.  I am a very picky furniture shopper but I completed my shopping in less than 30 minutes. I was looking around for a new mattress as my old mattress is really bad. They had many selections from plush to firm with amazing deals. Thanks to the owner I found the perfect mattress. The owner and their family members (family owned business) are very helpful and great at customer service. They try their best to help you and are very friendly. I purchased furniture from this store, as soon as I walked in they greeted me & asked to help, the store was very clean even the restroom too. I would like to say I am very satisfied with the experience with the whole staff. They made sure I was 100% taken care of. I would like to thank everyone that helped me. I just bought my sofa on Saturday. I have been looking around for something that I like and that is in my price range. Right when I walked in I was greeted by a great team. They sat with me and even helped me look for my certain color. They offered me same day delivery and I must say the delivery guys were awesome as well very fast n clean and very very respectful! The staff here is very professional and very nice family own, the minute I walked in I was ask how can I help you and let me show you what we have. Pretty happy with the quality products and great services. We have been furniture from this store for last 14 years or so. The first sofa set (full top grain Italian leather) was way back in early 2004. Modern style and very well built. Still in top notch condition though it has sagged a bit over 14 years of daily use in our family room. We are just simply fed up so wanted to modern style 2 set of power recliners (Magna brand). We mixed and matched and still received very good deal. We shopped around in more than dozen furniture stores before each purchase and realized very hard to beat Contempo's prices for value for the money. Last year we also purchased dinning room furniture. After delivery (which is always free), we realized this set is not going very well in our new home so we talked to owner (Ming) and absolutely no question asked free pick and full refund.  This reminded me Costo policy on customer satisfaction. We ended up buying another modern dinning set.I am really surprised reading comments of some of the reviewers that folks their are either racist and arrogant. These comments are very hard to digest for me as I have been to their stores more than dozen times over last 14+ years so I know the owners. Even if owners are not there, their staff (I think they are all from the same family) are always well behaved. Last time when I was there, I was curious to know more about their family background. This is truly another immigrant success story. They have two highly successful children - one medical student at UCLA and another one PhD/Attorney. My mother and I recently moved. We came to countless stores and this one came across my mind after I remembered someone recommended this place for me. I came here with my mother to look at upholstered beds and I was amazed by the latex mattress carried by Diamonds Mattress brand because it was not coils like the ones we had in mine before coming to this store (BeautyRest, which was our original choice.) My mom being super asian and frugal, she asked for many discounts trying to bargain with the owner who was a really genuine nice guy I've talked to. I would definitely come back here again and introduce everyone I know to come to this place! It will be the only store I'm coming back to get more furnitures! Thank you Chu & Co Uyen. Great place to buy furniture. There are lots of places close by to where we live. But due to the positive reviews I wanted to check this place out. The owner is very nice and is up front and honest about his business. I also like that he does not pressure you. He will just recommend what he thinks you might like. I recently purchased a very nice queen size bedframe from Contempo. I got a fair price, and delivery was included. They delivered exactly at the beginning of the timeframe they promised ( 7-10 days ), and the setup went very smoothly. It's a rather large frame that came in 2 boxes, and the 2 employees who dropped it off assembled it in about 15 minutes, and cleaned up the area and removed all of the boxes.The service in-store was great too when buying the bed. Had a great experience buying dining set.We explained to the owner lady Minh what we were looking for and she spent atleast an hour looking at various catalogs and websites till she found something we liked. She did not have the same in store but showed some piece which was closest. Also she suggested better chairs to complement the table we picked. I've been here several times for the last 3 years. Purchased their quality king size and queen size bed frames and mattress. I like the Ethos mattress the best. A delight to work with. The folks at Contempo are extremely friendly. They made shopping at their store fun. The furniture selection matched our tastes very well. We shopped at a number of stores, before returned to Contempo for the prices, selection, and the wonderful folks running the store. I am pleased to say that our sofa purchase at Contempo - our first time experience with the store - went very well. The initial buying process was actually quite pleasant. The owner, I wish I could recall his name right now, was very nice, conversational and good humored. It took about 6 weeks to receive delivery - it came from the manufacturer in Los Angeles - but the wait was worth it I must also compliment the two Contempo workers who delivered and set up the sofa. The sofa arrived completely wrapped and with protective material all around it. They were very careful moving it to the inside of the house and taking off the wrapping. I am blown away by this company. The couple who run it are extremely helpful and don't try to sell you anything you don't need. I was going to get a matching loveseat with my couch but they recommended just a chair and they were right! Also, their prices are unbeatable. The same bedroom set and couch at Ashley's would have cost me $1200 more. And finally their service is unbeatable, they delivered the weekend after I ordered, and they fixed a small tear in the couch corner right in my living room! All for free. Contempo Furniture has a great selection of modern and contemporary furniture for all rooms. And the best feature is the affordable price and customer service. I had been looking for a particular Jonathan Lewis sofa which was available in several stores, but Contempo offered the best price. Not just that, the owner Minh is very sweet and honest. She is also very knowledgeable and practical in advising colors, textures if you need help with the selection. We ordered the sofa and the manufacturer stupidly shipped half of the sofa to Arizona. Minh's husband was super nice and honest to keep me posted on every move and was very patient to understand my concern due to the delay. Contempo furniture is a great place to get your new furniture. Its ran by a couple, and they truly are honest to their customers.  I love how there are a lot of couches, tables, chairs, beds, etc on display. If you happen to want something different, then the owner will bring out a huge catalog.We were looking for a new dining table and stopped at a few furniture stores before we found Contempo. They had exactly what we wanted, and I feel that the pricing was just right. The owner did not try to overcharge us. It was nice how he was able to answer all of our questions. When you go to Contempo Furniture, do not just walk around and expect to only be able to get the furniture displayed in the store just as I did. My wife and I walked around but didn't see anything that fit our style and ALMOST walked out. We then spoke with Huu who started showing us the many furniture catalogs that Contempo Furniture can order from. We ordered a new sectional, dining table set, dresser, mirror, end tables and we could not be happier. What even surprised me is the delivery and setup. Not only did they deliver the items, but they also assembled them! Best of all is his prices. I tried comparing then to the Internet, but Contempo was still less expensive.I'm still waiting for the sectional, but since we customized our sectional w/ a different fabric it's going to take 4 weeks.  But based on what I have experienced so far, I bet my sectional is going to be great!And to Lily P, who created a view on 2/16/14, you can just go in and order anything you want from the catalog. We were referred to Contempo by our real estate agent & we were so happy we decided to take his recommendation!There is a good selection of furniture, which was great considering our newly bought condo desperately needed to be furnished. We walked in & looked around before a staff member greeted us & gave us a deal on one of the pieces we ended up buying. All the staff already give you discounts on the furniture & helps make it affordable for your budget! Not once did we actually have to bargain & we weren't pressured to buy at all. We basically got our bed frame, mattress, nightstand, futon couch & glass coffee table for $2,300 even with free delivery/installation in San Jose! Now that is a steal!We ended up coming back to buy another nightstand as well as some lamps.
