Gussie the “Glue” Geld, the horse perceived to old to be useful is the inspiration for Contemp-O-Services. A mid-lifer, in the middle of my career; built a foundation of knowledge though development and experience, I became displaced. While displaced, I took some time to assist a parent with the end stages of Parkinson's disease. Returning to the work force was more difficult than anticipated, I found, my professionalism, accomplishments and closely coveted arsenal of skills didn’t bring the opportunities they once did. I found networking and foot in the door strategies are met with “Appointment Only” and ”Don’t call us, we’ll call you”. Most importantly I found, I'm not alone…there are many of us, different backgrounds, education levels, ethnicities and occupations… the only thing we have in common is life stage…. Gussie the "Glue" Geld, perceived to old to be useful. ….. "We will not go gently into that good night, we will rage against the dying of the light." Obstacle turned opportunity; I put together an aggregate team of consummate professionals experienced in numerous areas equipped to provide small businesses and entrepreneurs the level of support corporate America paid over tens of thousands a year to access.
