I've trained my dogs with consummate Canine since 2013. I have never met a more knowledgeable and passionate group of trainers. I originally started training with my Bernese Mountain Dog in obedience. I was able to get his CGC (Canine Good Citizen) title because of their training. It was an easy decision to bring my German Shepherd here when I decided to try and get in to the sport of Schutzhund (also known as IPO or IGP). The trainers here understand the nuances of tracking and how to bring out the innate potential in your dog when it comes to obedience and protection. Very knowledgeable and skilled trainers. We adopted a 4 month old puppy from Qatar in March and immediately knew he would need training to help with socialization and obedience. We called Lisa and after our first conversation, I knew she would be a huge help. We had one private session (which was much more reasonably priced than other quotes I received) and she spent almost two hours with us on a Friday night. She was very patient and thorough with answering all of our questions and I never once felt rushed. Instead of suggesting more private lessons (which of course are more expensive), she actually said he does not need any more private lessons and suggested going to group classes for socialization. It was so refreshing to work with someone not motivated solely on $$. We've been going to group lessons for a few weeks now and our dog has made tremendous progress! Lisa and her staff are truly dog whisperers (and people whisperers) and are so patient with showing proper technique. In addition to attending weekly obedience training classes, we have also hired Consummate Canines for dog walking while we are at work, which is a perfect way to continue our dog's training during the week. They are very reliable and extremely professional, sending us daily updates on his walk. As a bonus, Lisa and her staff are also more than willing to answer any random questions we may have about dog training or food, treats, etc. You name it, she knows it and will answer your question thoroughly. Lisa is awesome!!My husband and I are first-time dog owners and were struggling with our rescue dog barking a LOT at guests. We simply didn't know what to do anymore to stop Scout from going crazy when people came over. Lisa did a home lesson with us and helped us to understand that the barking was a symptom of a very real sense of fear that our boy was experiencing, as a result of his past stressors. She helped us through techniques and practice and, by the end of our two hours together, our pup was eating treats out of my dad's hand and playing with toys with my brother, neither of which he had EVER done before. We've only had the one lesson, today, but I am blown away by the progress already and am so excited that we're helping Scout to be a happier dog! (It helps that the price was super reasonable too :) )Tip: if you do have Lisa over for a lesson, make sure you have hot dogs or chicken or some other high-motivating human-type food to reward your doggy throughout! Lisa is an excellent trainer. I called her before I purchased my Bernese Mountain Dog because I knew I wanted to train my dog to get the best out of him. From the first phone call to the first meeting she was very professional, very friendly and genuinely interested in hearing what we wanted out of training. It has been a year now and we are still training with Lisa and Consummate Canine I can't see myself anywhere else.
