Just passed my test from my automatic to manual. First time. Richard was an excellent tutor! Always calm even if I was a difficult case as I had picked up a fair bad habits from driving an automatic for so long.

I was anxious about learning to drive, as my experience with a previous instructor hadn't been very positive, however Richard put me completely at ease and I felt very comfortable driving with him.

Richard is both very likeable and easygoing as an instructor, but by far his greatest assets are his excellent range teaching skills and his flexible approach.
He takes his responsibility to ensure you know what you need to know very seriously and is a font knowledge and advice that he tailors to your situation.
I was a very nervous driver and despite the difficulty - especially at the start - I always felt supported and safe.

At first i never thought i would be able to drive, it seemed so hard, but the best decision i made was to go with Conquer Driving, Richard is very methodical and has a great attitude towards teaching people to drive, very friendly and very smart at problem solving when it comes to learning, if you're looking to learn then i cannot recommend Conquer Driving enough! Nearly 4 months on from passing first time, and I've never felt better while driving. Richard at Conquer Driving did such an amazing job. He tailors his teaching to match your personality. He understands what might work for some, might not work for others, and vice versa. I, like various learners, was nervous and anxious about so many situations (I'm too close to the other cars, what if I do this, I think I should do that), and he would always challenge me, and really make me question why I felt those feelings. In doing so, he helped me to overcome fears and my perceptions of different situations. He is methodical and encouraging, and most helpful of all, he remained calm and relaxed, while being positive. Most people could teach you how to make the car move, or how to hold the steering wheel, but Richard really taught me how to drive, and be a good driver. I'm confident, and even now I still notice myself muttering away something's Richard would say, when I'm in a situation where I used to feel uncomfortable. A month after I passed, I drove for 5 hours to Cornwall, and a week later I drove home. A few weeks ago, I did the same trip. That's a huge feet for someone recently passed their first ever driving test. And I did it with confidence and belief. Both return trips went smoothly, and I can't thank him enough for getting me where I am today. There is no reason why I wouldn't ever recommend him. Excellent job. Thanks again!! More...
