I was searching for a way to help automate my business so I could spend more time being creative. I also found that with my traditional accountant/bookkeeper I never really knew if he was doing things correctly. Just blind faith and trust. The team at ConnectCPA helped build a workflow for me that allows me to be paperless. Which sure as heck beats having to go back to a shoebox of receipts. I can just snap a photo and if I need to find that receipt it's just a search button away. This also accurately pulls out the hst and separates it when it categorizes the receipts. At anytime I can check my records to know exactly what my expenses are and my income. Besides what all the software does, if I have a question about anything, I just ask and get a quick response from someone on the team with a solution. I did this initially as a trial to see if it woukd work out. And I would never go back to a traditional accounting method. Glad I made the switch. Worth taking a quick video call to just hear how it works and if it will work out for you. And if you're concerned about costs, it worked out to cost me less then hiring a dedicated bookkeeper and then paying an accountant. And that includes the software. I was living in Australia and about to come back to Canada knowing I had to incorporate for the contract work I was about to take on and had no idea what the accounting side of things would look like. From my first email (while still in Australia) through several video calls and tons of questions I had along the way, I received nothing be excellent service from connectCPA. For someone like myself who'd never incorporated before (and was really intimidated by the whole process) it was fantastic to have the people from connectCPA guide me through it.
