Any structurally sound garage is suitable for conversion.
Depending on the requirements of usage , reflects the detail of works required.
We have converted free standing garages into gyms and recording studios and many attached garages with knock throughs to extend kitchens or simply extra bedroom or dining room.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
The process for a garage conversion varies depending on the customers requirements, but in a brief detail they usually follow the same process :
Strip out all existing fixture fittings, wall, floor and ceiling coverings
Create any knock throughs
First fix all plumbing and electrics
Brick up front garage door ( install any windows where required )
Insulate all walls where required
Plasterboard and skim all walls and ceiling
Insulate ( where possible ) and raise floor to match existing property
Paint all walls and ceilings
Second fix all plumbing and electrics
