Hi, my name is Rob Bowman and have been a personal trainer specialising in Weight Loss for over 11 years. I work as a mobile trainer in and around Tunbridge Wells travelling to clients' houses. I also have my own private personal training studio where I train clients.

I signed up for an initial 24 weeks course with Rob. During this time I lost over 2 stones and 6.5% body fat training with Rob in his studio. My overall fitness level improved considerably and I also lost a lot of visceral fat, which was particularity important to me. As well as the workouts Rob tracked my food intake regularly which helped me learn what I should/shouldn't eat and stay on track and acted as a good deterrent when tempted by 'bad' foods! More...

I have struggled with my weight most of my adult life. I would diet, lose 2-3 stone then put it all back on and more! I decided to get a personal trainer I went on-line and found Rob’s website. I was 8.5 stone heavier than I am now and was extremely unfit; walking up the stairs was a struggle. I felt very uncomfortable meeting Rob as I was embarrassed about my weight and seriously nervous about doing any exercise, especially in front of someone! Rob was great he made me feel at ease as soon as I met him. I would recommend Rob to anyone that wants to improve their lifestyle either to lose weight or just to get fit he has the patients of a saint, he needs it with me. More...

I had never really done any exercise before and didn’t really know what to expect. I ended up doing exercises I never would have dreamt I would be able to do and have taken up running on my own as a result of the program. I went from 11 stones 1.6 pounds to 8 stones 13.8 pounds over the program.

Four months on from finishing the course, I'm now running three times per week up to 10k, and have maintained my weight loss.

I have never felt so fit in all of my life and at 63 that is a fantastic thing to be able to say.

I did the 24 week course with Rob desperate to be able to lose weight and exercise, but with so many different injuries, replacement knee etc., I wasn’t sure if I would be able to.
Rob put together a program to work around my injuries and I lost a total of 3 stones and 2 pounds on the program.
I have continued to improve since finishing the course, and 'power' walk everyday and I'm now the proud owner of a fitness tracker! Who'd have thought it. From my heaviest, I'm now 5 1/2 stone lighter and feeling so much healthier, the catalyst was undoubtedly, taking the plunge and starting the course with Rob. A life changer.

Q&A

In my experience you need to tackle 3 areas. Exercise, nutrition and motivation. Focusing purely on exercise is simply not enough and I see my job as a personal trainer as a lot more than that. I give you all you need to succeed in all 3 areas.

Consistency and being strong mentally. You don't have to be perfect all of the time and never have any of your favourite foods. But you do need to commit to a balanced exercise and nutrition program that will allow your metabolism to boost and your body to lose weight.

Seeing the transformation in people. Not just in terms of losing weight although obviously that is important. But also seeing the changes in confidence, self esteem and general happiness people get from getting fit and losing weight.

I was overweight for many years myself when I as younger. So I know how it feels and that it is not easy to lose the weight. Helping other people do this is my passion.

I have 10 years experience helping people lose weight. I take my job incredibly seriously and give my all to every client I take on to help them reach their goals.
