From their own boxes in the street or on the roof of a tower block a dedicated fibre is pulled through a small hole in the wall, with a shallow faceplate and Angle Polished SC connectors (angle polished connectors are the proper way to do it). You don't have to use their WiFi router (which is a Linksys Velop unit at the time of writing), as you can just use DHCP and get SYMMETRICAL speeds (none of the Virgin Media 100Mbps down, 6Mbps up garbage). Thanks to Mark who went the extra mile to get mine working when we had snagging issues with the install because I was the first customer in the building, only a week after the bulk fibre went in. Speed is as advertised, low latency and I will be monitoring the reliability. More...

I had my internet set up a few days ago but wasn’t getting internet into the flat and I did have to chase head office up a bit for an update but when Sadu came out on Friday he tested the boxes inside and outside and was very helpful and explained everything that was going on to me and I felt like it was a great experience and I’m glad my Internet is up and running with super fast connection.

Just had Community Fibre installed. It was touch and go, due to contractor fault outside of Community Fibres hands but they made it a painless process. Especially Jack Gordon, of the Customer Services team, who was on top of my case and gave me regular updates. After some confusion about being home and making appointments to see engineers, Jack was able to understand my frustrations and worked with me to solve it as quickly as they could.Keeping me informed and aware, without patronising or talking down, Jack went above and beyond what I expected and eliminated all the stress of getting my new connection working.His rapport on the phone is excellent, is a genuinely nice guy who I felt really cared about what was going on and has made my start with Community Fibre a perfect one (bar some small hiccups, which Jack solved!)Being on an estate with 450+ properties which now can be serviced by Community Fibre, I will be recommending it as part of the residents association. He installed my router and modem very quickly without much hassle and ran a long line of cable in my home very neatly, I was very impressed. The 5 star rating is purely for the work carried out today by the engineer.. excellent work.. he had to do a lot more than he expected, all worked great until he left my home. . one hour later the speed was 350 download and 150 upload.. greatly slower than 400/400.. at this time it's not looking good that it will get past the 14 day cool off period. I needed 2 callouts to get my internet up and running. Both engineers (Michael and Sadu) were 5 star ✩✩✩✩✩, very friendly, polite and knowledgable. They left no mess from the install even though it required drilling through my exterior wall.I've only dropped a star because it required 2 visits and there was an error booking the second visit, so I ended up needing to take 3 days off to wait for engineers.I can highly recommend Community Fibre - my new internet is blazing fast! Signed up in August - but not connected until 18-10-19 unfortunately.Engineer came round within 2 days - but there was no signal. The engineer came on my original installation date to install the equipment and it turned out that the supplier who ran the cables through the building had skipped our floor. He escalated and his supervisor came on the same day to assess how to complete the installation. Two days later the supervisor came with another colleague (Roy) and they brought the cables up to my floor and completed the installation which was a lengthy process of troubleshooting. Very grateful that they persevered and completed the job, also finding neat solutions to avoid cables running all through my apartment. Internet is running great two weeks in. We first heard of Community Fibre from a guy selling it door to door. We weren't sure if it was legit but we asked him to email us from an official communityfibre email address, and it was all ok. We cancelled with Sky and booked our installation date with Community Fibre. The Engineer arrived on time but could not find the access cable and was unable to complete the install. The problem was that the contractors who installed the cables for our building had missed out a floor. It took 2 weeks of me calling the customer service number before another engineer visit happened, with no real progress being made. As a result, we were left without internet for 2 days during the changeover, which wasn't ideal. This is the only reason the review isn't 5 stars.However, when the Engineer Babs arrived he went above and beyond to ensure our issues were resolved, working around my schedule to get us connected asap. Every person I interacted with at Community FIbre has been very friendly and eager to help. Special shoutout to Babs and Roy who completed a difficult installation on the top floor of our building, and answered all my questions. I would 100% recommend community fibre if it is available in your area. It is super fast, with the only limitations being the plan you are on, and the capabilities of your devices (2.4ghz vs 5G bandwidth). We haven't had it long enough to comment on the reliability over time, but I don't expect it to be an issue. More...

There are no words to describe how amazingly awesome community fiber internet is. The service is second to none. I had no problem getting through to customer services and when i explained what i needed he said he would call me back that day. He he called me back within 5 mins and i had someone come round within 48 hours to fix my problem. Just moved into a new flat in SE1, and after not finding a single Openreach/BT-network-fibre broadband service available, I was dreadfully resigned to a Sky broadband package that was slow (10 Mbps download/ 1 Mbps upload) and inconsistent (internet keeps dropping). Then I found out that Community Fibre has recently installed fibre optics in my building, and immediately decided to switch over. The engineer, Michael, came over and finished the installation in just over 1 hour with minimal drilling or disturbance, and within minutes our service went live. Symmetrical upload/download speeds that were 20 times better than the previous Sky package at marginally higher price, and internet connection that covers every room in the flat at almost max signal. Reliable broadband, fuss-free installation and responsive customer service who can be contacted via the user page on Community Fibre website. At first I thought this was too good to be true, but now I am a very happy customer looking to stay with Community Fibre for a long time. More...

Installing the service went smooth.Tyron is a great engineer. He called ahead before he arrived, he was polite and his knowledge of the service and the technical stuff was great! I am kind of a geeky guy and he answered all my questions and installed the cable with great care. He also made sure that I have 5 bars wifi signal all around the flat. The speed and latency is amazing. The equipments are high end and you have access to all the functions.They also provide a proper public IP and you are not behind a CGNAT like on many (mostly mobile) providers.I had the impression that they just want to give a honest, quality service without any flick flack.I am glad that they are available here. I've been with Community Fibre for several months now and pay for 200Mbps. Like some others, I thought initially that it must be too good to be true, but they really do deliver. I often do speed checks and I've never had any speed below what I pay for. I originally was hesitant in signing up this company as I hadn't heard of them before and believed it was too good to be true when the gentleman knocked on my door, a few days later a man came to install everything but aparantly there was an error, but I still had internet from sky so it wasn't really an issue. . then 2 men arrived a week later to say the cable had been snapped during installation and would have to book another appointment during the wait for this appointment I was left a week without internet which was annoying but refreshing also lol so was no biggie, then last Saturday a lad names Josh came and had everything installed, set up and even cleaned up after himself (which never in my life has happened lol) within about 2 hours roughly I call him a life saver as my son was having fortnite withdrawals xD so thank you Josh and am happy with the service so far and am happy to have my bills cut in half from what I was paying with sky! :) More...

Efficient, the engineer was friendly and went the extra mile, and I am already very impressed with the service. I've been a customer of Community Fibre since October last year and overall, I must say it's a brilliant service. I had a small technical issue a couple of days ago. Of course with any technology, occasional technical issues are to be expected, but it's how these issues are dealt with, is what make a good company, a great company. Their customer service team were terrific in being available and helping to try and sort the issue out remotely. As this wasn't possible, an engineer's visit was booked and I've just had the fabulous Roy out to get me back up and running. He was professional, friendly, courteous and all that with a smile. He took his time to complete all his relevant tests and ensure that I was 100% satisfied before leaving. I'm a very happy customer and would definitely recommend moving from your current broadband provider. CF provide terrific value, faster speeds and issues sorted efficiently.....what's not to love! Over the years I have had experience with dealing with just about every internet provider there is. You name it TalkTalk, Virgin, Sky, BT, to name a few. Unfortunately the experience has not been great. Usually I feel let down by the speed, hidden charges or lousy customer service, random draconian clauses in the agreements and more.Not these guys. From the moment Jemma knocked on my door on a random afternoon to Rob, who set up my account and of course Mark, the engineer who installed the line, everything could not have gone smoother. The install was booked less than a week after I called the company, engineer Mark called me early in the morning to give me an estimated time of arrival, so I did not have to wait at home the whole day as expected from any other line installs. Around 30 minutes before Mark arrived, he gave me another call to make sure I was at home. The line was installed in about 20 minutes and the connection was up and running 5 minutes later. I am truly grateful and happy to see a company actually care about their customers, i am impressed with how easy it was to get everything set up and the hardware they put in your house covers all corners including the garden because its not just one router, but two powerful Linksys wifi nodes that you can place anywhere in your house to get the best out of the connection.All in all i can not fault this company for any reason.Fastest symmetric broadband in the country with excellent customer service at bargain prices.Thank you for that. I was meant to leave a review about Community Fibre a while back however didn't get around to this and till now, my experience the company had its fair share of up and downs from first joining, because after my initial installation was complete, the speeds that was experienced were around 200, mostly less than 300 mbps for Download while getting 800 on the upload. The customer service team was not taking my query seriously at all, till Owen had decided to take point in my issue and that's when things started to turn around, the team helping, they managed to go out their way in trying to resolve the speed issues. It has to do with one of their installations of something outside the property and they decide to try and upgrade something, managed to fix the speed issues to getting the download 800 Mbps for a week or less, however now over a month has been stuck at 500 Mbps for download, with upload of 800 Mbps.The reason I'm giving this company 5* Even though instead of 4* is because they really did go out their way with trying to diagnose the issue with all sorts of techniques with upgrading equipment in their side to the network connection, and the outside point connection.. trying to resolve the speed issue of the Upload being much higher than Download for weeks, even though its still not resolved they did go to a lot of effort to try fixing it but at the end of the day, still same issue with speeds not achieving full or close to it. At this point it is unknown to them on the actual cause.However I do still appreciate the support these guys gave, and the staff member Owen really deserves a promotion because he was monitoring this situation and putting events in place to hopefully try and resolve speeds, even on his lunch break. You can tell that that particular staff member does take their job seriously and for that reason they need a raise or promotion.Even though getting 500 Mbps stuck on Download with 800 Mbps Upload and them not being able to do anything about it, still is enough for me.Really satisfied that the Download has increase to half as before it was an absolute joke to being less then 200 mostly, and Owen had arranged the Network team to do upgrades on their side so it upgraded it slightly, for that reason I'm grateful. Currently had Community Fibre for about 5 months now. The speed was initially okay. I went with 1Gig, but generally got between 600-800Mbps. This would often drop however and could even fall to 200Mbps at times. I wasn't very impressed.About a month ago there was an outage across the area on their network. Community Fibre's initial communication was very poor. A suspended twitter account that was previously used by the company could have relayed useful information about the outage.Since that incident they seem to have updated their website with up-to-date information about their Velop Router, the twitter account is now working again and it's all much better.A few days ago they also seem to have made an update. For the last few days I've been getting a consistent 900Mbps up and down.If it continues like this I'd give them 5 stars. More...

Had a slow start after initial installation as service needed tweaking from the team to get it up to the full 200megs ultra fast package speed. Customer service was professional and swift in replying and dealing with my speed and connection issues.Josh the engineer was sent to look at my router system after talking to customer services and was very polite, helpful and arrived on time (never had that happen with my old Virgin broadband service ). He explained things clearly when asked about the reasons to my speed and connection problems. This helped keep me informed and patient in waiting to get it working well. I've had to rather reluctantly cease using Community Fibre, but I thought I drop in a review after over 3 years use. Note that this is NOT due to any negativity towards CF. Setup to the estate felt like it took forever - but in all honesty I do not entirely blame CF - it was more surrounding messaging that it was coming direct from them and CityWest homes too (who were previously managing my estate on behalf of Westminster City Council). It was around 2 years, before I finally got connected, after early notification this was to happen. This clearly was affected by the Grade II Listed status of the property and hit some snags - obvious when competitors state figures like 9 months turn-around. I trust they learned a massive amount during this time as they soon became phenomenal.Connection did finally happen and was an extremely painless process (once those earlier snags were resolved).In the 3 years I have had around 3-4 short periods of service loss. Response times to raised tickets proved not only FAST, but staff handling the issues were highly personable, clued up, transparently able to answer my more technical questions (I run Linux on my main devices), appropriately escalated and resolved in good time.Contention rate, real world speeds, value for money, and service up time have been the best I have, to date, ever experienced.For any organisation to turn my initial views entirely on their head, is a significant change. This shows not only that they actively listen, but they also have scope to be amongst the higher quality internet service providers any of their customers could hope to enjoy.A great little company who get a double thumbs up from me. 5 weeks ago Tyrone tried to connect me but there was a power issue. I had another engineer and a contractor call in a couple of times. .. and a week later Ishmail got my internet going perfectly. He was extremely patient and helpful as I was quite stressed and had many questions. Before connection I had spoken to Owen and asked for my cooling off period to be extended, which he did , he was very re assuring and told me he was escalating my getting my power issue fixed....and that is what happened. So all in all in all on a basic package I felt I was treated very well and great care was taken to set up my internet as I wanted and needed. Tyron came today and installed our service with the best service in mind. He was knowledgeable about the products being installed, did everything to set up installation according to our desires and the product's needs, while keeping everything tidy and good-looking. Not satisfied with that, he tested the whole flat's signal, and proceeded to install a second AP on mesh config to make sure the entire flat had good WiFi coverage. Just got my 1 Gigabit internet installed by Roy, he did an amazing job and he also cleaned up as well, we were also given another router for the other room so the connection spreads evenly across the flat which was a nice touch from Community Fibre, oh and last but not least I just signed up with Community fibre yesterday and have my internet up and running today so it was all done in less than 24hrs. Getting set up with community fibre was great. Jemma the sales rep was extremely friendly and totally went out of her was to help me. Contacted my existing provider who was charging way to much for a lesser speed and handled everything very swiftly. The first engineer that came was not able to install as the cable was not long enough to come into my flat. This was resolved very quickly and they added/extended new cables closer to my flat. They updated me about this via email and telephone call. When the 2nd engineer came he was very nice. Installed everything quickly and let no mess. It has been a month now since having it set up and I have had no issues with my internet. I would definitely recommend Community Fibre and have already done so to several friends. After he left I went to clean the place where he was working to discover that the drill broke off in the wall and he left it there and made a new hole. Chris was very knowledgeable and resolved my installation issue promptly (fibre cable on roof was damaged). The community fibre speed and bandwidth is brilliant even on the basic package. The complete optical fibre connection to the inside of the property is a massive improvement on the previous ISP connection (sky). I am posting three weeks after instalment to give the fibre time to work and see how it is. Well it is brilliant , I have tested speeds daily , they have not dropped , not one single bit. I had sky before and sky promised speeds they could not deliver. The broadband community have delivered have stayed exactly at 80mb a second. So am really happy with product. Having it installed was easy , we had an engineer called Darren who was friendly and very professional . Giovanny carried out installation of the fibre broadband last month. He was very polite friendly and proffesional. Despite difficulties with installation due to layout of flat he resolved this after referring to the regional manager. The broadband fibre connection is amazing with actual consistent speed throughout the day and despite number of people connected at the same time. (4 users at a time)I would recommend this to family and friends and neighbours on the lisson green estate. Go for it you will not regret it. More...

Very happy to have been teleported to Community Fibre's 'Planet Gigabit' (my name for it).Extremely impressed with my Community Fibre Gigafast 1000 mbps package, which surpasses, several times over, any internet service I've ever had before. Having a gigabit of bandwidth at my disposal (down and upload) feels like how the internet 'should' feel like, with what feels like limitless potential to do anything. Gone are my days of being limited to 100 mbps download and 6 mbps upload with Virgin (best at the time, but SLOOOOOW!). A big shoutout & thanks to the combined efforts of 'team' Pankaj, Owen, Milan, Rose, Babs, Sadhu,Tim, Giovani, Jack & Louis. Looking forward to continuing to explore the exciting new possibilities & opportunities the Community Fibre Gigabit portal opens up for me.This is the future of the internet right here in South London. I was given a 1pm-3pm time slot and Josh, the engineer, arrived shortly after 1pm. He called 25 minutes prior to arriving. Josh was very polite and carried out the work with minimal fuss and got the job done smoothly and was very tidy. I recently had my Community Fibre installed but I wasn’t getting the speeds I was expecting. Community Fibre were very proactive in finding a solution. We struggled to find the reason why. They sent the engineer who originally set everything up to come and take a look. He confirmed that the correct speeds were coming into the flat, which the Velop didn’t show me. So as I knew the correct speeds were coming in after the engineer visits I finally found what was stopping my full Gigabit potential. Roy and the rest of the Community Fibre team have been awesome in trying to help. 5 stars and I recommend the service to anybody. Top job. More...

I never heard of this company until some guy knocked on my door and introduced me to community fibre. At first I thought this was a scam, but boy did I needed internet and decided to go for it and take the risk. He booked the engineer for the next day. And all was history.
