Working with Commonwealth Cooling & Heating was great! After 13 years, both of my A/C units went out and they were able to work with me quickly to get them replaced. They provided several options and the price was better than the quotes I received from other providers. Installation was quick and painless as well! We recently bought our home that we knew would be a fixer upper. Our HVAC system is decades old and of course during the hottest week of the summer our AC went out. I called Commonwealth yesterday and they were able to fit us in today. Unfortunately, our AC needs replaced sooner than we had hoped. Brian came out today to figure out what was wrong with our air and heat. The furnace is shot so he made immediate arrangements to have the parts delivered today so he could come tomorrow to replace it along with a few other broken things. Commonwealth installed a new Bryant AC system 4 years ago and it's been working fine until a panel fuse blew. A repair service put Noalax on aluminum wiring plus a new fuse and that solved it. Not sure whether Commonwealth installed the suspect wiring or not, I contacted them. The owner, Brian, personally came by to inspect the system to ensure his installers did everything to standard, showed me the wiring they replaced which was copper (highest standard) and showed me the wiring that goes into the home which was aluminum installed when we initially purchased our home and not wiring Commonwealth installed. Bryan ensured all connections were secure and tightened aluminum wiring connections on both of our systems which were noticeably loose (a tendency of aluminum wiring I understand).  He did more than ensure his folks performed to standard, complimentary, and greatly appreciated. We switched over to Commonwealth Cooling and Heating years ago from the company we "inherited" from our home builder and have not regretted the decision a single time! They have always been very above board with their pricing and estimates, their office staff is courteous and professional, and most importantly, their technicians show up ON TIME and with everything they need for the service call. We bought our house new and always had issues with our updates ducting system not cooling/heating all rooms equally that the other company just couldn't seem to resolve. Commonweath Cooling & Heating was able to come in and tweak the system over a relatively short period of time (while we gave it time to see how things changed) and now the system works great, all the rooms upstairs are the same temperature! Brian and the Commonwealth Cooling installation team get 5 stars for work performed this week replacing my quarter century old air conditioner. I called a number of companies late Sunday night. I was called back within minutes by the owner! He came out the next day and diagnosed the issue providing choice of actionables. Prices were fair and competitive. Financing was offered if desired. I've been using Commonwealth Cooling and Heating for a couple of years now. I've found them to be honest and receptive. They kept my old system up and running until I was ready to replace it, making a couple good diagnoses/repairs that could have easily been missed by solidly experienced HVAC techs. For the total system replacements, they worked around my schedule and were accommodating to a few requests I made. I'm a pretty handy guy and know a thing or two electrical/plumbing/HVAC. I'm also a bit of a nut when it comes to making sure things are done the right way, so I was very happy when the install crews went above and beyond making sure I had a proper and clean new system installation (shoutout to Hoi and Robert for the great work). Most HVAC installers would probably not pull a permit for a direct system replacement like mine, but Brian obtained a permit for the job and it passed inspection with flying colors. Here is a representative summary of the phrases the county inspector used: "Looks good. Nice and clean. Good job there. Most people overlook x, but not these guys. OK, you pass." I've referred several of my friends/neighbors/coworkers to Commonwealth and they've all had very positive experiences also. More...
